They should decorate the bridge for people to be coming to snap there. They should do mural & neon lights for evening 🌆 beauty.
Since most Africans are used to pains, they ll forget the architectural blunder that makes navigation via the bridge to be tedious and go there for pleasure which is snapping pics!

But on a serious note, this pedestrian bridge has it's own advantages. It outweighs the disadvantages

Ah.. you wan try? Even without load, you'll still lose strength after climbing..

It's the women with children that I pitied. Those little darlings can't keep up biko govt should cut that bridge or open a small entrance at the railway for the elderly and little children to pass.

Maybe there's a structural explanation to this, but i do not know CCECC will be punishing people in the name of "Pedestrian bridge"

Currently seeing the one being constructed in front of LASU, and i can't imagine myself walking such a distance.

They should make these designs simple, abeg

Exactly what everyone was saying as we were climbing the bridge. Someone you'll make very short low, you turned it to journey in the wilderness. Haba!

Maybe Keke napep should come to our aid cos that's the only way out of that punishment.

Why are you always posting senseless comments? Are you cur$ed? The funny thing is that the hardship in SW is less than 10% of that in SE but those ones are already accustomed to it. We read news of people selling children for a plate of akpu. Odẹ

See the new look of YABA that got everyone complaining bitterly including me.
The last time I went to Yaba was three months ago when the new fly over bridge was still under construction only to get there yesterday and discovered it has been completed and the road on the rail line that leads to tejuoso has been blocked and fenced off so everyone has to go through the fly over bridge to access tejuoso market and the bridge is unnecessarily long and exhausting.

I was there yesterday but had to go again today because yesterday the complex I wanted to get stuff was shut and according to the traders the govt was coming for inspection.

The way they built the bridges are not convenient cos you'll climb two long lanes before you'll get to another long lanes descending to the other side. Lagosian were complaining as they climb and descend. On the other wing there are stairs. I used the stairs today thinking it would be better than the other walkway and nearly fainted.

Is this to add to Nigerians suffering or better their lives because someone who's already experiencing hunger can not climb that bridge o.

Below are pics of the flyover.
Keep fit

No aesthetic atall.

I'm telling you very ugly I was wondering if it was actually a construction company that did that job or it was a road side bricklayer that did it.

The one at Ikeja along is even worse. It’s longer and higher.
Funny enough, I walk through this bridge daily and I must say, it is really very exhausting.

Government contractors are nothing to write home about. Go to airport road and see the nonsense pedestrian bridge put there. Why not do simple pedestrian bridge and make it look aesthetic than this zigzag pedestrian bridge they usually construct, wasting scarce resources in the process.

What I noticed from the pics is the street trading. Nigerians must sha spoil ever good thing. Half of the road is already being occupied causing the bottleneck the bridge was meant to solve.

What I think happened is this. Normally lasg will simply exit the houses and buildings on both sides of the road to expand the bridge and ensure there is enough space. Na their standard procedure.

Unfortunately lasg built the tejuosho shopping mall right beside the bridge. All those demolitions are only easy to do when na other people's infrastructure.

So they have a cramped bridge

There are 2 sides to the bridge, there's one for pedestrians (the one with stairs) and the longer one is for disabled people (i.e. those using a wheelchair), so they can be easily wheeled up and down.

Don't forget the bridge was made because of the train that intersects at the junction, otherwise there could be loss of lives.

If anyone is complaining, that person is just ignorant. They did the right thing there!
