When Aketi was alive , I never heard her voice so for her to start venting after Aketi’s means those people might have started showing her behaviors they didn’t show when the husband was alive…I am guessing she is feeling betrayed by people close to her already. If she has sense she should accept it a fact of life that you can hardly attract good or honest people when you are in a good position in life

After the man dies, na the Igbo woman still get the children. By what you can see, she's not on good terms with that family.
Aketi had no problem with the man, Betty and son use to be in control but they wanted to be in full control when the man wasn't around and the deputy didn't agree to that cos he was the second in command.
They made a coalition to impeach him and plant someone there so that the person will be the next governor while they they continue in proxy. How can a sick man want to sack his deputy?
The man fought for his right, I don't see anything wrong with Aketi's family supporting him.

There wasn't enmity between Aketi and his deputy. The people who ran his government in proxy were only insecure. The deputy is like vice Principal in a School, he is in control when Principal is not around.
They wanted him to be replaced so they can continue the proxy government.
