DeLaRue:I think this kind of flat lands can only be found in oyo in the south west. It's easier and cheaper creating merchandise farming in the north. |

Some people are stuck in the past. They are still talking about LAKE Rice in this day and age. Lagos has gone beyond LAKE Rice. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I think I should provide a summary before I go on. 1) Governors Jakande, Akhigbe and Rasaki established farm settlements in rural parts of Lagos. 2) Lagos' population grew beyond what the farm settlements could cater for. Besides, rural parts of Lagos were quickly being swallowed by the urban areas. 3) Governor Fashola signed agreements with other states like Ogun, Oyo, etc to establish farms there. The food will be sold in Lagos and Lagos youths will work on the farms. 4) Governor Fashola also built a rice mill. 5) Governor Ambode brought down the rice mill that Fashola built and began buidling an even bigger mill (I think it's one of the biggest in Africa). 6) He signed an agreement with Kebbi State to produce LAKE Rice in the meantime, while the mill was being built. 7) Governor Sanwo-Olu finished the rice mill. Now there's no need for LAKE Rice because rice is being milled in Lagos. Instead we have Eko Rice (see below). 3 Likes 1 Share

tollyboy5: That's not what that post is about. That post is referring to people who say that this deal is fake because they no longer see LAKE Rice. How will they still expect to see LAKE Rice when it has been superseded by Eko Rice? I know when the idea started, this is my previous post on this thread. Make sure you click the links to see when the idea started. naptu2: 1 Like 2 Shares |

Pay who can produce and stop giving us our ration. I bought a cup of rice for #1,000, only in Lagos and other south western states. Please when did other region post? Use the same energy you push on prostitution, drugs and Twitter in the farm and come back to show me your bumper harvest. 1 Like 1 Share |

Haven't seen this kind of people before in my entire life. You have swampy areas but won't grow your own rice . Very lazy people. But went ahead to build rice mill and partner with kebbi state . How is the lakerice with kebbi going now. Kebbi now has her own rice lills And they aren't doing any partnership with you guys. You have land to fish and be the largest fish hub in the country . You have water tributaries that can be used for power generation. Nba, dem no go gree so that one. You now want to finish your own people by handing around people who habitually seized food from coming to Lagos, don't forget tomato, onions amd recently. It's still the same state . Benue that used to be the food basket of the national has been reduced to a mass burial ground. but your hypocrisy will not let you condemn the maruders. May God save south west from eye service of those who don't like you but pretends. You have finally empowered them to feed your region. 1 Like 1 Share |

richidinho: Keep quite, you exude ignorance about the political system of Nigeria. All the lands in Nigeria are owned by the States Governments, except the FCT , which is owned by the FG. Agriculture is largely under the States. The roles of the FG in Agriculture is limited to Policy formulations (e.g restrictions of foreign agricultural produce) ,standardization and regulations (e.g intoduction of Faro 52-Rice species by Akinwunmi Adeshina during GEJ Administration), counterpact funding (e.g CBN's anchor borrower's programmed), subsidies on Farm implements etc. The President can't just stroll into Ekiti or Ebonyi to start rice farms or cocoa plantations in Ondo or Edo States. Each States should invest in Agriculture to provide foods for their peoples, States that can't shoud buy from those States that ca produce foods (as Sanwo-Olu is doing here) or they should reduce their food consumption by implementing 1-0-1 feeding ration formula |

It's a federation, some states are good for agriculture, some business, some for their minerals... Everyone has their strengths. Big question though... Barren South West states, but why are you all flocking to Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states for greener pastures😭😭 JustYourself: 1 Like 1 Share |

Jokerman:Nothing concern Peter Obi in this matter. LASG has been in partnership with other States in areas of Agriculture. Ex-Govs Ambode-Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi) partnership led to the productions of LAKE Rice in 2013 Kebbi became unable to supply the rice paddies around 2017. 1 Like 1 Share

Think9ja:you're asking me to mention governors that repaired Federal roads and got repaid? It's shows u ain't current... Even individuals repair Federal roads and they get repaid... Read about pastor ea adeboye, he repaired d road dat leads to his village and d federal government, fashola paid back, same with wike.... D past govs of Niger states have promised and made campaigns with dat road dat they're going to fix it.... Maybe it's until u lose your love ones on dat road dat your head will be correct...
