Cool not bad.. but I think we can and should be doing more with all the monies we've acquired and stolen so far.. we should be exhibiting high tech military arsenal's and equipment. One that would compete with the tech emanating from USA, China and the rest or the advanced world.. |

If we restructure Nigeria and each state has its own police and national guard, companies like proforce and innoson can provide needed equipment for their respective security outfits in South West and South East |

DeepSight: Made in Nigeria Sea Vessels NNS Oji NNS OJI: Seaward Defence Boat 3 (SDB 3) NNS Oji (P275) is the third iteration of the Seaward defence boat series built specifically for operations in the Gulf of Guinea. The NNS Oji SDB 3 is the largest of the series and meant to be the best judging by size and role which includes patrols towards deep seas. The Nigerian Navy over the decade has developed expertise and embarked on design/building of ship and craft. With the present class of the Seaward Defence Boat (SDB 3) which is a 43m steel vessel, a shift from aluminium to steel. Most of her structure are built with steel, generated at Naval Dockyard Limited – a commercial entity of the Nigerian Navy. A single SDB is built annually, and in May last year, the two halves of the hull of NNS Oji Seaward Defence Boat was brought together and welded to form a complete hull. The vessel’s modern architecture allows for improved seakeeping qualities, faster mission interdiction, and longer time at sea. NNS Oji (P275) is armed with a 30mm remotely operated naval gun, three 12.7 mm machine guns ( two at each side of the stern, and one behind the bridge). An additional 40mm grenade launcher is optional. Fitted with modern navigation and communication equipment, and a Simrad radar control station. An RHIB to launch naval boarding parties is carried at the rear of the vessel. NNS Oji SDB 3 follows a line of indigenous littoral vessels with the first of the SDB class, NNS Andoni (P-100), which was delivered on 7 June 2012, 40 metres SDB 2 NNS Karaduwa (P-102) delivered on 15 December 2016. Nigeria Reverse-Engineers Chinese Dong Feng CSK-131 Mengshi Armoured Vehicle By manufacturing these vehicles within its borders, Nigeria can enhance its national security and respond more effectively to emerging threats. Epail Nigeria, a Nigerian defense company, showcased a locally produced light armoured vehicle at the 24th edition of the Nigerian Army Combat Support Services Training Week at Abalti barracks Lagos State. The vehicle appears identical to the Dong Feng CSK-131 Mengshi, a Chinese-made light armored vehicle that the Nigerian army recently inducted into its inventory. It features a remotely operated weapons system on the hull of the vehicle. The recent unveiling of a domestically manufactured light armored vehicle underscores Nigeria’s commitment to self-reliance and technological advancement in the field of defense. The emergence of a locally produced armored vehicle closely resembling an established model like the Dong Feng CSK-131 Mengshi speaks volumes about Nigeria’s progress in defense technology. By achieving a level of similarity to an internationally recognized design, Nigerian manufacturers are signaling their capacity to meet global standards and expectations. This not only boosts domestic confidence but also positions Nigeria as a potential competitor in the global defense market. https://www.military.africa/2023/08/nigeria-reverse-engineer-chinese-dong-feng-csk-131-mengshi-armoured-vehicle/ ...... This is excellent. Our engineers are now doing Reverse-Engineering. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Richtaiwo: They carried a coffin with pictures of the then president on it. Called the president a goat and his wife a pig. Urge the international community not to sell weapons to nigeria in order to combat terrorism. They spread fake news about nigeria, nationally and internationally. They hired bandits and militias from africa to come cause havoc in nigeria. In fact they promised to make the country ungovernable and threatened nigeria with civil war. They promised to form a parallel government. They arranged and facilitated the kidnapp of school girls from Chibok to make the then government look bad and incompetent in the eyes of the international community and also to snatch power. They were the nigerian version of Nazis. All they did were still fresh in our memories. Nothing new under the sun You sound defensive and like you dont wanna hear about them, Were you part of them? 1 Like

You can bring yourself up to date on what happened between 2012-2015. Also check his tweets in 2014, 2013, 2012...they are still there. If Tinubu can spend €1billion on drones technology Nigeria will be a seller of cheap technologies like Iran selling to Russia. How just by setting up drones technology colleges in each state employing all these electronics repairers, designers, welders and molders and 3d printers forget it. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Ykc2: In the automative industry 'assembly' is the EXACT SAME THING as 'manufacturing'.. You manufacture a vehicle by 'assembling' it. You decide on your design, then you procure the parts from parts manufacturers who can be next door or anywhere on Earth. Your plant may also have smaller sections manufacturing a few parts, usually to cut costs. Once you've acquired all the parts, THEN you manufacture or 'assemble' the vehicle. That's it. 3 Likes 1 Share |
