There’s no one in Enugu state that has ordinary camera phone. You guys keep living in denial, that was exactly what you guys did here until the fat ugjy nsukka man wasted eight years. Now this one that stole someone’s mandate is even worse than gburu gburu but you guys will always come here to defend failure and backwardness. Keep camping in Anambra thread instead of kicking your incompetent governor to fix your backward state

I heard Mba is really into construction and reconstruction of some roads in the city and I also watched a video where the completion of the abandoned International Conference Centre is being carried out...

Even though I have my reservations against this govt, the govt should try and at least get some of the things they are doing into the media to keep the people abreast.

OkpaNsukkaisBae:

I wonder why Digitron is not giving us update. I saw a thread on frontpage about 11 states who can comfortably pay her workers without Federal allocation and Enugu made the list, the only state in the SE. But some states in the SE imposed tax on people doing funeral ceremony.

Their media team can do more.

I am currently out of Enugu. Will resume once I am back..

The fastest way to know who is not in Enugu is "Peter Mbah is not doing anything". Very funny statement that

Mba is really working, he is operating at Sullivan level ei constructing roads with pedestrian walk ways but with open gutters.

Note that Ugwuanyi took us years back from Sullivan era by constructing roads with no pedestrian walk ways and no street light .

We are looking forward to move above Sullivan era though

most of his roads that I have seen being constructed doesn't look nice at all. No sidewalks and poor drainages

The one he is constructing from GRA through ekulu bridge to Damija has side walks but very tiny, it will require one person stepping down when face of face with another pedestrian or they rub body.

He has also completed a football pitch, a kind of mini stadium with carpet grass Nkwo Nike currently he is constructing the road that leads from Nike road to Enugu East Local Government secrietarite with both sides of the road interlocked.
He is building a market at Ugwuogo Nike, infact the man is firing from all sliders.

That's so great of him, I wonder what Walter Ozioko of Nsukka has done with his own allocations shocked, nothing tangible to talk about.

This roads are eyesore to say the least, look at how dirty the roads are looking with open drainages and no sidewalks. No greenery, this is 2024 and we are still constructing roads like this, when are we expecting to use our sense and do something like humans. Looks like in the next 100 years, we still not be developed at all. Don't these politicians see how things are done in other small African countries, I'm sure that many of then goes on vacation to western countries and they love how things are done there but they can't do quarter of what they see over there. Not even road markings, the coal tars are looking very dirty. Our SE leaders have poor taste when it comes to project executions

Mbah really disappointed most of us, I saw him as someone who will have world standard when it comes to project execution. Looks like the LP guy will have more taste than him.

I don't understand oo , maybe the cost of moulding slabs will jack up the contract sum astronomically,

Meanwhile by the end of this month some of Mba 's roads will be completed as most of them are done, just waiting for asphalting

I agree with you on our south east leaders but this is a local government chairman, you should endeavor to criticize constructively.
You expect him to cover drainages when even governors are not doing so , again you want him to plant some greenery when houses are on both sides of the roads, so he should be demolishing the houses for greenery abi ? Mind you these are inner roads that he constructed in his home town Eden Nike, he did a neat work , you don't expect him to be sweeping the road , we should try to appreciate someone when he makes an effort

The road leading to the local government headquarter has enough space for beautifcation and the man beautified it with interlocked concrete and trees.

We should not always condemn , his predecessors did absolutely nothing but this guy is working and you are there condemning his efforts. Maybe you should show us the projects done by your own LG Chairman .
I am not from the local government though but when I see good thing I will appreciate because it is not easy under this corrupt system.

Another thing that baffles me about Mba is that each road he is reconstructing, he will make sure he reduces the width instead of expanding it.
.quite pathetic

What ever worth doing is worth doing well, even in local govt councils, they still constructs road with the standard followed. Cars and humans are not meant to be on the same road, it's dangerous that's why roads are built with sidewalks everywhere, drainges are closed to prevent them from being breeding grounds for mosquitoes and also beautify the environment. People in any level of govt deserves the best too. Being a local govt project is not an excuse for mediocrity, local councils in sane countries adhere to standards of road constructions. We should stop giving excuses for poor performance of our politicians. Tomorrow he will get to a higher and he will execute projects with same mentality, most of them constructs those nonsense so that they will have enough to embezzle, they budget billions for projects but at the end will do a project worth of millions embezzling the rest.

They are doing so to have money to embezzle, they don't think about future. They forgot that cities are expanding and roads should be constructed more wider. He just gives out contracts to his cronies who uses any how contractors to do rubbish works. Sullivan used Arab contractors and expanded many enugu roads, mbah is using contracts to settle those who helped him in election rigging. Those people are just using anyhow contractors to carry out the projects. Enugu is doomed

Travelling around Enugu is starting to get irritating. Dunno who told Mbah that he needs to reconstruct all the roads at once but the traffic caused is starting to get ridiculous.

I passed there yesterday and immediately said the places needs an expansion. It was always very small, a choke point. Dunno know how it can be expanded with the two bridges there

Yeah, those two bridges are the problem but one good thing about enugu is that there are always other alternative routes . Eg people from Abakpa can alternatively follow Abakpa junction to get to old pack while those from trans ekulu can go through golf estate via ugbodogwu or RCC estate.

Have they asphalted the road ?
