Una don carry una stupidity come Nairaland. The family whose name Liam wants to bear has the right to know whether he's truly part of their family. Stop deceiving yourself.

State the part of the law and section that listed those that can demand for DNA... Else remain silent forever. Killer group promoting anarchy in other to help Wunmi evade justice.

Why shame on him? Why are you getting so emotional about protecting Wunmi. Even in more advanced nations, the first suspect of a suspected murder is the spouse. It is after the spouse has been investigated and cleared that the net is widened to include other family members, friends and colleagues. Each person would be investigated thoroughly. Why has the police not questioned Wunmi, take her alabi and statement on what she knows about mobads death.
Why is Wunmi's story on the cause of Mobads death always changing?

Haven't they already did? The girl should submit the small boy for the test ASAP so as to be sure he deserves the inheritance MOHBAD left behind. It also cleanse the wife of any wrongdoing in the wake of MOHBAD demise. If she has no skeleton in her cupboard, then she has to comply.

Too many questions to ask.

You are regurgitating thrash. The case here is beyond establishing paternity. The father lost his child in a controversial circumstances . For him to get a closure, he needs to ascertain the paternity of the child left behind by Mohbad. All the rubbish you are saying above is only applicable if Mhobad is alive. As the head of the family, our customary law entrust the father with the family tradition. He reserves the right to do the DNA. Mhobad could have confided in him before he died and he can as well claim that was the last wish of his son when they last spoke. The law is not rigid.

The only question that matters is this…. If Mhobad is your son, will you allow a bastard to inherit his legacies just because you don’t want Nairaland in laws to think that you are greedy? The only way to prevent that from happening is to do a DNA. Once that is done, everyone will be happy . The father deserves a closure. He shouldn’t live with doubt all his life after losing a son

It is only in Africa that a woman sees DNA test as humiliation. Despite the fact that African women are highly promiscuous as report shows that about 35% of DNA test done in Nigeria are negative and doesn't belong to the attending father.

What a generation of mess undecided

For the future of the child, she should go for the DNA and stop acting like a h0e who has something kept in her cupboard.

Yes that's how it's done in advanced countries. The police would first of all determine if there were conflicts within the marriage/relationship, and if those conflicts could have been the cause of the murder. Paternity of Liam could be a cause of conflict. Infidelity could be a cause of conflict. If a husband suddenly discovered Paternity fraud by his wife and the child he had loved and invested so much in financially and emotionally, it could lead to a fight that could lead to a murder/manslaughter. Police cannot rule out any lead to uncover what actually killed Mohbad.
Also, the Aloba family would like to know if truly Mohbad's son carries their DNA. It would fostered a better relationship between the boy and the Alobas.

This is not how the law works. Every circumstances is looked at based on it peculiar case.

In this case, since the father is not alive, Mohbad Father may be allowed by the court to exercise such right of requesting for DNA as an exception to the general rule. This will greatly depend on the facts placed before the Court.

No one is blaming her yet, people are asking her to exonerate herself from his death. If their relationship was so cosy, why did mohbad himself accuse accuse her of wanting to kill him in an audio message just before his death.

A police investigation including a DNA Test would clear Wunmis name and shame her detractors. Why doesn't she want to clear her name? If a DNA Test is not done, the stigma of a bustard would hand over that child for life.
