I completely support this. We cannot want a UK-like Nigeria and not be ready to behave like the Britons.

Meanwhile, take a peek at my profile. It might interest you.

In the UK, the law is not a respecter of status or wealth, here is Nigeria the law only flexes it's power on poor people.

Imagine it's the daughter of an influential figure...free her or fine her
Influential figure's daughter will be in a car, not trekking on the road. She would send her driver or bousegirl and that's the one that will be arrested for crossing thr road.

But they don't have pedestrian 2 storey high bridge under furiously hot sun.
They have flat zebra crossing FLAT on the ground that any old person or disabled can very easily cross

Seven months in Prison??! Haba!!!

That doesn't even begin to make sense... Why no option of fine?!!

Community service for 6 months even makes more sense.

Why is the Nigerian Judiciary unnecessarily harsh when doling out judgment to the members of the lower class, but shockingly lenient towards the higher class for the very same offenses?!!

Y'all sentence phone snatchers to death or life imprisonment, but give Politicians and elected officials guilty of siphoning billions wrist slaps.

I dan know say miscreants like you go comment.

What a life

Good one
The LASG should please also make sure these bridges are cleaned and every touts/thugs/miscreants are asked to leave. Most Bridges in Lagos have been taken over by homeless people and also thugs who will not hesitate to attack and disposes users of their valuables.

Yes. Community service is adequate for the offense committed. Imprisonment is very unnecessary in this instance.
