Hello Everyone, I just got my Goethe B2 certificate, (mind you I applied for an Ausbildung Visa early April 2023) met someone who also applied for an Ausbildung visa but in April 2022 and till now she hasn’t gotten any AD from the embassy
I have a series of Questions if I may….
1. How long does it normally take.
2. Do you advise I go do residency in Cameroon (if so how much time does it take).

Did your employer do the fast-tracked skilled visa application for you?

It depends on whether or not your company/school apply for the skilled workers procedure/pre approval letter for you.

If you don't have a pre approval letter then you apply to this category:

Registration to apply for a long term visa / more than 90 days (work permit, Blue Card, AuPair, FSJ, BFD, other / NO FAMILY REUNION / NO STUDENTS)

You'd get an appointment date in 16-18months

If you do have a pre-approval letter then you apply to this category:

Registration ONLY for visa under the Skilled Immigration Act (Fachkräfteeinwanderungsgesetz) WITH approval in advance according to § 81a residence act from your responsible ALIEN AUTHORITY in Germany

You'd get an appointment date within 3 weeks (usually a matter of days)


So you should try finding a place that is willing to get you the pre approval. Make sure you have your B2 before you apply.

Hello sir. Did you go through Ausbildung?
If yes, did your employer do the fast-tracked skilled visa application? And how long did you wait before going to the embassy after applying?

Hello everyone, I have a few questions I'd really appreciate some answers to.

Firstly, the stated dimensions for the passport photographs to be attached to the visa application are 35mm X 45mm. Is it okay if the passport is 40mm x 50mm which is an additional 5mm on each axis? Is this something they actually pay attention to or I'm just overthinking it?

Also, is it okay to staple one of the pictures to the form? They said not to use glue to attach the pictures, but a paper clip is the only other way I can think of that wouldn't make holes in the passport(assuming that's a requirement).

Finally, do they still request a WAEC scratch card at the interview? It's not listed on their site, but I've heard some old-timers mention that they needed to submit it. Anybody with a recently concluded interview willing to provide insight on that?

They will reshape the passport to the size. You can carry the passport seperately or use paper Clip! If you staple they will request additional piece of you passport.

Back then you submit scratch card alongside! Dont know about now...best wishes

For intended place of stay, you can just write the name of the city then for reference, assuming you're going for school, just put in your institution's details, the name, address, all those things

I think they gave out date for only 3days 18,19 and 20. Hopefully, it will improve by next week.

We that we entered the system last year is it possible for us to still go for interview this year??
