Personally, I only trade cryptocurrencies for profit on Binance. I don't do NGN/USDT trades, except maybe to sell some USDT for personal use and there are many options to do that besides Binance.

Good luck bro. Who knows which other platform government will clamp-down, after Binance?

And who told you indians do not currently trade rupee/usdt on binance ?? Smh...go and stop them

What I said was that: for India to be able to achieve one of its aims, it has to ban RUP/USDT pairing. Read my comment again.

Banning Binance in India won’t solve the problem of RUP/USDT is still available of P2P or other platforms.

Are you ok? Or you are still thinking what you have most to Binance?

No sane country that is aware of the law will say binance should give them the information of their customers and expect binance to do that..not even the almighty US or China or russia or any other country...only in Nigeria because of many dumbos like you that are ignorant....

Nigeria asked Binance to give it the top 100 users, Binace decided to hide behind personal security which they are right now. Now the court has ordered them to release a comprehensive list of every Nigerian there.

Everyone who has used Binace will now have their details and transaction history sent to the FG.

FG already has everyone's details

Trust entrepreneurial Nigerians, we're always one step ahead.

They cannot clamp down on all online legit profit-making platforms at the same time.

The Nigerian authorities last Tuesday asked Binance to share data on its 100 top users in Nigeria for possible probe and charge. But the company kept mum on this request.

O ti zeh. They will sing like canary las las or pay that huge fine of $10 billion to the Nigerian government. They will not eat their cake and have it.

They were doing eye-service cosmetic shallow kyc while permitting terrorists, economic saboteurs and money laundering and criminal forex manipulators to roam free on their platform so they can keep taking their own cuts from the illicit transactions despite warnings from the Federal Government of Nigeria. We will get the list and they will still pay fine!

It is obvious that they don't know Mallam Ribadu, he will show them shege!

Fine slammed on MTN by FGN will be a child's play compared to their own at the end of the day. They have allowed people with bad luck to jinx them same way these hate-filled unpatriotic elements did to Twitter and any politician they support.

All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las. They always lose. God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!

Another ignorant post...the india government cannot ban the RUP/usdt on binance except if binance remove it by themselves just the same way they(binance) removed the naira on their platform.....the india government cannot ban RUP/usdt on the platform ..it is binance that will do it by themselves...government can only ban binance as a whole..not the pair..

Nigerian government compelled Binance to remove it. It is our currency, man! Not Binance’s currency.
The same thing is applicable to India. India can tell Binance to stop pairing RUP/USDT and Binance has to comply.

Why didn’t Binance ignore Nigeria when Nigeria said it should stop the pairing?

We do not say Nigeria has the password to Binance database to effect the changes.

No company is above the law of any country.

You can do your own findings too.

Don’t worry. Your case is immaterial on the list, except if you have traded above $100m on the platform. EFCC won’t come for you at first.

Let EFCC prepare its shortlist. May be only 1,000 crook traders will make the list but if there’s need to make the list long, I do not guarantee your safety.

Don’t worry son. It’s beyond your comprehension.

Then why did Binance comply, if it was not compelled to remove it?
Was g.un put on Binance’s head to remove it?

Or do you think it was removed by nature?

Can you show us here who removed it or how it was removed?

Or are you waiting to read it online or in newspaper for Tinubu of CBN or EFCC to announce that they have removed it?
Government doesn’t need to announce that.

Check on Binance now and tell us if you can still see NGN/USDT. Can you do that, quickly, please? Share the screenshot here with today’s date.

Nigerian law, through our courts, can tell any company to reveal its customers’ info.

👆🏻👆🏻 Search for Duty of Secrecy on those last two (links) documents and read about reasons why Duty of Secrecy of customers’ info may not hold.

That’s the law that governs banks and other financial institutions in Nigeria. They are all from our CBN.

Don’t worry; your jail term won’t be much, if you are caught in the web of money launder!ng via Binance list. 😁😁. It’s a pity, you won’t still get your lost investment back.

However, the publication of the personal data of defaulters under the Guidelines does not fall under the transmission of data to regulatory authorities for criminal investigations and tax offences, as envisaged by the NDPR. Consequently, this particular processing will need to identify one of the other legal bases for processing as provided in Article 2.2 of the NDPR, in order to accord with the requirements of the NDPR.

Section 33 of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007 (“CBN Act”) provides that the CBN may issue guidelines to any person and institution under its supervision.

Under it's supervision..how is binance under CBN supervision ?? Secondly is binance among the banks or institutions under CBN ?? And is binance a bank ??

You wrote the sentence below

Olodo ni e.

We are not talking of supervision.

We are talking of why court will request companies to reveal customer database to it and to complainants listed in a case.
Now read what could have happened ( on that list) that would make ANY finance-related institution to loose its right to the court and be forced to release details about its customers.

Let me paste it here for you again. Don’t read preambles.
https://www.cbn.gov.ng/out/2014/fprd/aml%20act%202013.pdf

Check page B 236 for the reasons.
Then check page B 237 why a company will not be protected by any law while trying to keep details of its customers.

Some of those reasons mentioned on page B 236 to B 237 are parts of what the complaint told the Abuja court, which then compelled Binance to disclose its customers’ details.

Read all the links. Check Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act (BOFIA) as amended. They are all there.

Is Binance a bank?

Check the meaning of cryptocurrency and relate it to this.

It is a financial institution. You can see currency behind crypto, at least. And it’s trading such currency which is affecting an economy.

When you here financial institution, don’t let your mind go to only banks.
Insurance company is part of financial institutions. Add that to your pool of knowledge today.

Any company that deals in anything or renders any services that affects finance on a macro level, is termed financial institution.

That’s why the Act that regulates them has this name. BANKS AND OTHER FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS ACT OF 1991 (as amended).

This issue is in two phases . The first is , will binance comply with this court order? If they don't ,what will be the consequences ? And lastly , if binance even comply and release the details to the efcc, what is the efcc going to do with the list? Are they going to arrest those traders or block their financial accounts ?

One of the biggest joke I have ever heard. If you like order from now till kingdom come, those fagots will not get any data.
It's simply breach of privacy.
Binance is a worldwide entity and disclosure of client data to any government without any evidence of crime is something that they can get sued for and make them lose billions of dollars.
The issue is plain and simple, Nigeria cannot and don't have the power to get any data from Binance.
If you like arrest staff, is it the staff that has the data? You think the owner of Binance even has their time?
Mumu people, ordering them to release data on what grounds? cheesy grin Nigeria and embarrassing themselves internationally will never get old.
