Hello good day.
I’m looking for schools to apply for marketing or Marketing management in any Canada college or Uni. The ones I’ve found are either closed or are asking for application fees.
But I’m trying not to pay too many application fees because I don’t want to be wasting money especially when I don’t know if I’ll get the admission.
Also if I’m meant to pay for application fee, how do I pay it, I heard I can only use a dollar card which I don’t have.

Please I need your advice 🙏🏼

Bro, you need to be ready if you want to start this journey. Applications are not free unless the school is doing some kind of application fee waiver to attract more applicants which are few this days and not this time when there's cap on student visa. If you want it, go for it. Check your course admission requirements and in as much you meet up to the requirements, you will surely get the admission.

You can pay through dollar card from the school portal after all your document has been uploaded.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by BeatThaMeat: 11:45am On Mar 21
I used GCMS Writers for my Canadian application.

I applied December with a Landed document as mine, I paid full tuition fees which is $18,678 CAD for the tuition for 1 year, I have successfully Ran money in my account explained everything in an SOP i attached a CAC document for kitchenware sales business, and also my cryptocurrency business with detailed transaction. Now i converted the money from the bank account into a dormicillary account in my name, for my living expenses and my second year school fees which was also explained in the SOP. Now due to some foolish idiot on Nairaland with Username: Tolifefun who mislead me with his post that you can go ahead to submit your application if you have gotten a letter of acceptance before IRCC Announced the Date of attestation letter, I went ahead to submit my application and I've done my Biometrics also and the application was withdrawn.

I do not live in Nigeria, now the agent is telling me to run a transaction in my naira account amounting to 7 million naira, when i already have all the money converted into dollars for my application. I have asked him to explain to me how this make sense, he said since i sell Kitchenwares, i need to show that i have been doing businesss, I told him that he could also write that due to the current fluctuation of the currency, I paused importation of goods for my business.

Please Gurus in the house can you throw more light on how this make sense, and what I am suppose to do, i do not live in Nigeria i live in Ghana, taking money from that dormicilary account and putting it back to my Naira account doesn't make any sense to me because that's my living expenses and the other year fees. I'd love to know how this can be achievef.

God bless anybody who's willing to help.

this is what the agent told me

For record purposes, this is a summary of what was discussed with you over the phone.

We only require your updated bank statement(s) with continued inflows amounting to a historically sufficient bank balance to submit the new application at the time when you have provided us with your Attestation Letter.

Note that the initial application was not refused but withdrawn/returned by IRCC due to the non-inclusion of the Attestation Letter. The paid application fee was refunded as well less the surcharges.

If providing us with a bank account that meets our definition (to you) of a healthy and sufficient bank account, which also we have best advised numerous times is not possible due to an unprecedented factor, provide us with what you have persistently said is available to you for the application. However, to make us proceed, you have to assent that your well-informed permission was given.

P.S. Our advice considered best for your application is; if for a reason you cannot liquidate your domiciliary account entirely, liquidate a part that can amount to NGN 7m (or above) to run your naira bank account to demonstrate your kitchenware importation and sales business in your country is actively functioning. Do well to avoid lump sum inflows at this time. Rather consider using piecemeal payments of NGN 50,000 low and up to NGN 250,000 high to run the account.

Will IRCC returned or rejected a study permit application if the applicant fails to do his/her biometrics?

You are an idiot Tolifefun you caused my application to be withdrawn cos I didn’t read further what the other guy was saying. You are a big idiaaaat for misleading me.

From ircc website. It was clearly written and doesn't need any other interpretation.

The application will not be processed and may be returned, but why would you not go for biometrics if you have not done it before?

I can understand your anger especially as the guy you quoted kept going forth and back that day attacking ppl that didn't agree with his opinion on something that clearly written on ircc website.
But I think you quoted the wrong person.

Sorry for withdrawal of your application, it's not a rejection. Your application fee will later be refunded as I heard. Submit another application immediately.
Next time no matter what you read here from anyone you think is portrayed as knowledgeable, always try verify from ircc website or from other reliable sources.

Your agent has a point where he or she said its logical to show transactions after the conversion of the money to usd. However, there is no need convert back to naira and run that acct as it might expose the whole thing as being demonstrative. When was the date you stopped running the acct.
The most important thing is the initial stuff you did and the money is still available and well explained. It's also possible you have multiple accounts and have decided to stop using this acct after submitting the first application.

Thank You and God bless you.

Now the problem is this, he said I have to run an account showing that my business has been functioning, that I didn’t just convert all the money to USD and then I’m no longer doing exactly what I need to do as per the business.

Now I’ve got a separate amount in crypto in which I can sending the money into my account, but he said it has to be 7 million or above . I keep asking why it has to be that amount and he said we shouldn’t use emotions.

Please I’d like to know why it is that amount why can’t I just run like $3,000, I asked him what if I don’t have up to that amount he asked me to withdraw from the money in USD which is my second year school fees and my living expenses which doesn’t make sense I’m trying to know why it’s 7 million.

Well, I don't see the reason why it must be 7million. Sales can drop at anytime, companies can have multiple acct and decide to use one acct more at a time. Technical issues from banks can always arise pushing you to another bank. These are logical reasons if your agent considers then he can fly with the 3k dollars. Naira made some recovery in the past few days, changing your dollars to naira is reducing value of your money as you can't guarantee the rate when you plan to change back to usd.

They will not review your application without your biometrics not being on file. In fact, your application processing time starts counting from the date your biometrics is received by IRCC.

Bro this is the most confusing thing l and it’s affecting my thinking. This guy wants me to admit stating the amount I can raise , then he will just submit the application, after paying him full amount of money. The whole money was in naira I converted all of it to dollars, and both account was used as proof before submission of my application. Now the application has been withdrawn, why do I have to run an account from 7 million and above just to show that I am steady in business, why must it be that amount he can’t answer me ! I have a crypto wallet and platform that I attached to my application, where crypto is also my side, now he says since kitchenware is the primary thing I do, then I’ve to build that account with inflow and outflow transactions of 7M which doesn’t make any sense to me!

Returned: it will not be processed...
They will refuse the application for non compliance with immigration law..if biometrics was not done..

Please be informed that landing in the United States without a transit visa is not permitted. Therefore, it is necessary to cancel the planned mission.

I applied to Conestoga since January and I'm still awaiting a verdict on my application. I checked the OCAS portal a few days ago and saw that I was placed on waitlist on the 2 optional courses I chose, while no decision has been made on my course of preference. Within this period I have already applied and gotten admission to study in the UK and I think I'd just take it, despite not liking the UK. My siblings and friends who live in the UK are telling me to rather wait for Conestoga verdict than to pay for the UK school tuition deposit because of upcoming UK study visa rules by the home office. Even though I understand their concerns, my home ties to Nigeria isn't even strong at all if I apply for a study visa to Canada. I can afford the cost of relocating to Canada myself because I have always wanted to relocate out of Nigeria so I planned financially for years. I refused to acquire any property, cars, and get married that would limit me when the time comes to leave. I'm also above 30.
My chances of getting a study visa is better currently with the UK than Canada, which makes the whole waiting for Conestoga verdict a waste of my time. With the news and rumors of how Conestoga College is badly run academically and administratively, also the housing and living crisis in Canada, I'm just like is it even worth it to go there for a PGD, when I can just get a master's degree in the UK for the same amount.

Prior to submitting an application for a UK visa, it is essential you think of the complexities associated with transitioning from a student visa to a work visa. This challenge is commonly encountered by international students in the UK. In contrast, obtaining permanent residency in Canada presents fewer obstacles, as there are numerous pathways to achieve this status.

OyoTunjiUSA:

Hey 🤠

1. Its not worth it on Study Visa . Let's assume your visa is granted , you will start another journey by studying and working which will incapacitate you in achieving lot of things until you are through with your study and work yourself towards Residency. In Canada, you have to abide by all rules (as an international student) .

2. It's worth it on Permanent Residency / Work Visa . By this , as you are landing in Canada, you are above someone with a study visa because you can start working immediately, open a normal bank account, secure driving licence , apply for loan etc . In short , this visa makes you on the ladder of becoming a Canadian citizen if you know what you are doing.

3. In either way. You have to be extremely careful of (some) travel agents . A woman was hoodwinked to the sum of N15.M on this same Canada visa . She together with her daughter have gone back to zero level . She sold a property too. Open your eyes and be certain that any process you choose involves you physically and on the Web.

Best Wishes 🙏

Just to correct you, someone with a study visa can start work immidiately, open a normal bank account, secure the highest level of driving licence (G licence), apply for loan. You don't even need to be looking for work, some students just buy ride and start doing share ride and Uber eats; they make money from there....

Thanks for the response, I sincerely appreciate.

Of a truth my pathway is through the student route(study visa), my family is planning to sell properties worth over #30m to sponsor it. However, with this your response I think I need to do a rethink.
For the sake of accuracy, the individual you referenced provided incorrect information.
Allow your family to proceed with the sale of the property, as it will ultimately prove to be a worthwhile decision.

My reason: With certainty, you will make over 30 million naira in Canada in a shortwhile, if you can't boast of that in Nigeria, kindly embark on the journey.
