Just a hint. Do you know you can turn on your iPhone gps remotely? I once lost ordinary iPhone 6. I switched on the gps remotely, tracked it and rendered it useless until the guy turned Good Samaritan by force and called the number I left on the screen.

The only people that can find your phone through sim card or IMEI are the network providers.
This service is not generally available to ordinary people due to security reasons, except if one gets a permit from the police. (The DSS issues permits like this, but they will hardly give it to you...). The Nigerian police usually exploit this option for themselves. When you report your stolen phone to them, THEY BILL YOU, and consult your network providers directly to find the phone through sim card or IMEI (GPS IS USUALLY USELESS BECAUSE THE THIEVES WOULD HAVE TURNED IT OFF IMMEDIATELY OR EVEN TURN OFF THE PHONE).

THE NIGERIAN POLICE DOESN'T HAVE ANY INDEPENDENT TECHNOLOGY TO TRACK ANY PHONE, DEM USUALLY JUST DEY USE UNA CHOP MONEY.

The saddest part of this scam by Nigerian police is that, even after you pay, most times they won't even make any effort to finding the phone. They'll just start lying and posting you until you get tired and give up.

Don't think you can successfully track it but I won't be so sure. If it's a Samsung, I can bet you can. I actually lost my Samsung S20 recently and I successfully tracked and located it on my other Samsung. It was easy and straight forward but all these Redmi, Tecno phones no get try.

Yes it can be tracked as long as you can login to your Samsung Cloud account

Pls reply asap if yes. I recovered my phone last month through that same x cloud but this is not even about recovering it but making it unusable for the two of you at least.

On your browser, go to (us/i/mi/com) replace all the “/“ with “.” And you should be directed to the interface below, click the find device option and it should take you to google map showing the devices’ location. Press the LOST MODE and follow the prompts asking you to input your message and phone number to be contacted when found. You will be asked to create a unique unlock password, create this password and don’t forget because it’s going to be needed to unlock the phone if he eventually returns it to you. Some thieves might start sending you phishing links and websites in order to fool you into giving them the password. The thief will later contact u on the number provided because it’s going to lock once it gains access to internet wherever it is. You may quote me and provide a screenshot of what you get afterwards. You will be alerted on the website once your phone gets locked successfully. Mine had even been factory formatted but the werey was unable to use it and had to call me on the number I provided until he got tracked down.
