I appreciate the fact that the USA gave him a job.

But renouncing Nigeria is a no for me. Well, I hope his family are well taken care of and his death is investigated well.

Nigeria is a useless country, he didn't say enough in my opinion.

Please when talking about the last election, endeavor to leave tribalism out of it. The statistics are in public domain.

Second, the people voted the man you love to hate because your much highlighted alternative who bought 400 SUVs for 179 traditional rulers is not credible enough.

Please come up with better argument and stop wailing. Elections are gone.

Tinubu advocates are looking for ways to get out of Nigeria. That is fair enough.
What will you say about Obi advocates and ass lickers that are accepting offers of positions from the same Tinubu?

Fyi,I don't like the Tinubu but I remain his supporter and will choose him over others so only you know what you are saying

Comparing a recruit to a general just because you heard US navy, you obviously are very bright and knowledgeable in your ignorance.

Probably murdered intentionally or unintentionally and being covered up so they can avoid paying his family huge sum of money . Otherwise why are they being so vague about how he fell overboard and why they failed to rescue him.

That's sad. I wonder what the "non-combat related incident" was. I guess they might not want to say much if they're still investigating.

May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

I'm not supporting the late sailor for renouncing his birth country but everyone cases is different...

Captain kelechi might have no reason to renounce his citizenship because he never expected anything from nigeria... who knows if he had a great job and good life in nigeria before he moved overseas...? But for the case of dis young boy... he has suffered in nigeria, he searched for jobs everywhere but couldn't secure one because he doesn't know one politicians or governor... he studied in nigeria and was left to depends on his parent to survive.... now he managed to travel out... and you think whenever he remembered how his home country almost messed up his sanity! You think dat kind of person will ever wanna hav anything to do with nigeria again? ... so if he renounce.. don't blame him... the country might hav disappointed him so many way...

Is just like romancing an Ex wife that was caught cheating multiple times... if you later divorce the lady... Will u still be hanging out with her?

Stop writing rubbish.

You don't need to know anyone to join the Navy in Nigeria, certainly at Korofo level which is what be got in the US Navy.

This is exactly what Remi Tinubu was saying.

Jobs you wouldn't do in Nigeria, you would be lapping up abroad.

It is because Nigeria makes one feel worthless of oneself. A country without plan, direction or ambition.
Not everything is money, sometimes, you just have to meaningfully engage your citizens, and they remain loyal and committed forever.

Rip bros... At least you died fulfilled.... Jst like u said, over here if u want to join d military, you'll have to know someone who knows someone... Seriously it's really frustrating to be jobless in Nigeria....

Most times Sha na we dey contribute to all dis things my mind breaks when I see people pay bribe for ordinary nysc state posting and most times the parents are even aware, so if you'll pay money to get a juicy PPA, you'll definitely pay bribe to get a juicy government job... And when something bad happens you'll turn around and say Nigeria happened to you or 9ja failed you...

I'm a proud Nigerian though, and I'll never talk down on my country, especially when I'm in another country.... We go get am right one day... And 9ja go better

That's the very true.
NDA is not for nonentity.
Even simple government jobs

Dey play broda...
U talking as if we are not Nigerian also

I agree people join the Nigerian navy without connection but what's the percentage of people that actually secure that job with grace? ...

Because I can confidently tell you the recruitment process is not easy in Nigeria unlike the US where they beg you with juicy offers to join the US military ..

Forget abt wot Mrs president said... an average Nigeria will happily take low jobs abroad because it pays better than Nigeria...

We hav seen couple of yansh cleaners in abroad building mansion back home...even setting up multimillion business back home...

How many nigerians cleaning or sweeping on Nigeria can build house in Nigeria? Pls tell us

Pays better how?

Most live from hand to mouth without any savings.

Especially in UK.

I accept the fact that in USA, soldiers are better remunerated but it doesn't make for one to denigrate his/her country of birth.

Na the same USA put am for water so.
