Light skin isn’t more beautiful it’s just society
Two kids of different colors don’t care about the difference until they begin to grow and hear things like what you just heard
Also if you live abroad, rich white young women and older women who don’t have to please society have a preference for black men. Adele. Kardashians. A good number of the top ladies do. For older women they even travel to Jamaica or places in Africa like Gambia for blacks

A guy with a working eye knows a pretty lady regardless of skin tone. The host Biola Bayo for example can't be insulted cos she knows she's pretty in her colour only those insecure in thier colour takes the criticism with seriousness . If you do big Afro or dreads you won't be reacially abused much because it shows the abuser you don't give a damn about validation elsewhere but yourself.
