It is obviously a policy to hold Ibos back for others to level up. Isn't it injustice? Even though Google rates Ibos as the most intelligent tribe in Africa, they should be encouraged to excel and not be pulled back. What is the work of Ohanezendigbo?

True, but it is not a crime to be intelligent. And no rule says that you must wait for your less endowed siblings. Why drag Ibos backwards with archaic policies in this digital age when Africans are lagging behind?

I don't think it is necessary. It actually shows that our people are miles ahead in education and that the demand to attend such schools is higher in the East.

But then, everyone doesn't necessarily have to attend federal secondary schools to get their O'level certificate. Besides, federal schools have their capacity. If 50 students occupy a class originally meant for 15 persons, over 30 people may not understand what's actually happening in class. That's how students become dullards in school.

As regards the way forward, today, there are private schools with much better curricular, facilities and teachers than those of the so-called unity schools. That's the kind of schools the churches and the HNIs among us should be building at an affordable rate. Those will close up the gap and give opportunities to those that fed schools couldn't absorb.

It is a reflection of the inequalities in Nigeria against the Igbo
