That means a billionaire can approach a sports player, lesser know players like the case bribe him on a prop that is individual to one of his stat and cash out big time....

How is that fair across board?
This isn't the regulation I'm referring to, more the regulation of protecting gamblers from themselves.

My point is people would bet according to their financial capacity, and there's no way of telling how much is too much simply based on the nominal value of a bet being placed. Person A can place a bet for 50k and that's his salary for the month going in one blow while for person B, a bet of 200k is not even 5% of his monthly earnings.

That is how they queued to apply pressure on Bokku bread when it was sold 950. Bokku had to start selling on two breads to each person but they were not dettered. They will take all their children and extended to the queue just to sell the same bread 1200 at their shops.

Bokku were only trying to save their business from those scavengers by trying to deal directly with the actual consumers.

Quick question, Is there a limit on cash out here?

Cos if there isnt, then its almost the same to me. Think about it, there's no way you can bet an amount greater than your cash out on a single slip

Except i'm missing something most odds start at 1 right?

Yes, cash outs are capped here, if that is your question

Those remote places have College of Education, Polytechnic etc some of the lecturers there earn that much in salary

There is a college of education in Ikere Ekiti, In Azare, how much do you think they earn as lecturers there. There are FG Unity schools in places like Ikirun, Ipetumodu, New Bussa, okigwe, all these places have banks too
As a matter of fact, I doubt if there's anyone earning 200k anywhere in Naija today that can actually afford to buy a decent car without any other additional income unless he is gifted.
Someone bought a pencil light Toyota for 700k in 2013 and sold it for 1.4M in 2024. That's the kind of car a 200k earner can afford to buy in Naija of today after months of savings and collecting loan from office. Pray tell, how would such person afford to hire a driver.
Like I said before bro, you are still viewing this country with the wa it was when you were here. Na we wey dey here fit tell the story.

I went through the last 25 or so stakes that mrbanks posted on his telegram group on stake.com. He won only one which was 2 odds.

There's no way on earth that guys bets those things he posts and stays in profit. Contrary to popular belief here, one win will not wipe the losses he would have accumulated.

I don't think he has quite told us how he actually makes money. It's certainly not from the betslips he posts.

Shebi I analyzed this same thing to Sportsweb. It's not statistically possible to be profitable in the short nor long run with sport betting

Those who write the odds are not fools

And u think the lecturers in Ikere Ekiti who earn 200k have drivers they pay out of their 200k salary ?

I served in a Ubity school in the north and some level 16 officers who own cars no get driver . The only person that had driver was the principal who was a level 17 officer whose driver and domestic staff were being provided by the federal government .

In this present Naija , u can never pay a driver and maid out of 200k gross family income . Lai Lai !
Well said. 200k earner anywhere in Naija today is only struggling to exist and not living.

Zero regulation here.

Theres a thread I saw on Twitter last year or so about a guy that won 100m on 1xbet. The bookie voided his winnings, said the ticket was accepted in error by their operator and close down the guy account.

1xbet is a scam trended on Twitter during that period. What did National Lottery Commission do?

Just grease some palms here and there and you can almost get away with anything here in Nigeria.

Sad! I am in no way implying the system is perfect here but they work really hard and partner well with betting companies, leagues including college sports, network providers in regulating betting.

If a prop starts getting unusual wagers, it is immediately reported and investigations commence.

I see your angu. People should bet what they can afford to lose. Whenever Bet ads come up on TV or any screen, they always reiterate that warning.

it is simple imho - he is a paid influencer for the betting companies. or as they say were wey dey disguise. his posts are clearly driving up betting .

Exactly.

Claims he's the master of martingale casino crash betting with guranteed 10-20 dollars daily. I checked his approach and it was just basic. Infact, I saw better approaches when I did my own research but quickly figured out you will need to have an infinite amount of money to succeed at it. Even if you have it, it's bad return on investment.

That's why I always smile knowingly when I see people post " Ekitipikin has won another 50m, his winnings cancel out his losses. ..:. "

Sports Betting is something I've played very well in the hey days of nairabet, 1960bet, surebet , merrybet and dem Bet Colony . Sports betting na just pure luck no matter how good a punter u may claim to be . U are always at the mercy of different factors that will decide the eventual outcome of the event u bet on(since u are not participating in the event urself physically)

U will win some and lose some but there are higher chances that u will lose more. People actually lose more than they win ; that's why betting companies are still in existence .

Anybody that wants to make a living out of betting will only end in penury . Some of those celebrity punters have gigs they do on the side that fetches them money which they stake with . That's why anybody who stakes and wins big is not advised to start looking for how to win another big money before the money runs out; instead he should set something up first for himself before any other thing

When I have more time, I will dig into his last 50 on stake, total how much he has lost and let someone tell me how one win will wipe off the losses.

I use stake.com because you can always go back to the bet to verify if it was won or not.

Maybe the result will help convince those who are influenced by his posts not to engage in it.

And if they must, just throw in money they can afford to dash out or burn in a club.
