Hi,

I really need some help to solve a problem at hand. A friend of mine booked flights for her sister from London to Lagos and back using a 3rd party agent called Mytrip. Sadly, she got her sister's details wrong using her maiden name, instead of her new name (post change of name).

Does anyone have an idea or experience of how to resolve this please? Abeg a lot of money is involved. 'My Trip' is insisting that they've checked with the airlines (air peace and airmaroc) and they said details can't be changed.

She hasn't been able to contact air peace as the number she has isn't going through from the UK. Air maroc insists details can only be edited by My Trip.

It's possible to change names, but an administration fee would be charged........

She needs to keep trying to get hold of the airline/agency.......

Send the airlines involved a message via their SM handles + send a DM (hopefully she still got time).....

For the elders and car owners in the house, which would you recommend for a first time driver…(2014-2017) model of Nissan Juke or Vauxhall Insignia. Thanks

This is my personal opinion, before some people say Google is always available.........😂

I would draw my parallel from the insignia vs Vauxhall Omega........⚠️😊

Hmmm Nice one baba 🙌 how many days ahead is this? The cheapest I got was 35£ one way journey. I was thinking there are train club card one could use to get discounts since it will be a weekly journey for months.

Are you a student or under 16 ........😁

This was about 6 days ahead, you would have to keep checking for discounted tickets........

£35 one way, is very very cheap nah ........ 😂

If £35 is expensive, try national express coach, they might charge you under £10 (booked in advance)......😊

Looking at the whole financial/ credit industry, won’t it be best to open/have account with top lenders like TSB, Tesco bank, Natwest and it’s like than this other banks that want your arm for a loan.

Cos I see you get better/higher offer if you are a customer and have spent some time with the top lenders.

This other ones like bank of Scotland and their siblings barely offer anything than cash back. Or are my mistaking something?

It's an open market, you shop for the best rates/terms ....... I would prefer the ability to dip my egg in 30 baskets, than 8 baskets........😊

Please what advice can you give in this scenario. A lady came to the UK with student visa and a dependent but could not meet up with the fee and the visa has been cancelled. She doesn't plan on going back what are her options. Baby mama is one option but then again giving birth can be quite expensive as there won't be nhs funding. Plus 7 years no be child's play o. Though that the only option that seems viable since marrying a citizen is not that easy.
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Bourne007(m): 3:40pm On Mar 31
Once visa is cancelled, you will usually have 60 days to leave the country (unless stated on the letter issued). And last time I checked ọ, It takes 9 months to be a baby mama 🤔 if you wan go that route.

As it's a study route, it's now a requirement to complete one's course before switching visas.

Your only option. ... You should plan to leave the UK as soon as you can. Apply for a new category from naija, and return with a clean record rather than overstaying.

All the best.

All the best

Probably sounds offpoint but why will she not want to return to Nigeria?

The UK is not heaven and living here as an overstayer is probably a hard life.

Even deliveroo, you wont be able to do in peace without fear of being snitched on.

Btw what has the dependant being up to or is it a minor?

Is she prepared to continually live illegally, till perpetuity.......

What plans does she have for work/accommodation/survival........

Life might be tough/rough, does she have the grit to bear .......

Please you can quote me or send me a DM for continual conversation.

Given the ease of wanting to become a baby mama, one can probably speculate on the kind of dependent.

My own issue is even with the child she’s proposing to birth. Imagine being willing to give birth to a child just for this purpose. Then the child will likely grow up in the streets, grow to join gangs due to no parental oversight as there’s no father and mother is working twice as much to earn half as much as she would if she were legal, ultimately becoming one of the feral gangsters dealing drugs and stabbing people around, and so likely end up in jail or worse.

Madam Jenny, you should have mercy on that child abeg. Go back and try again or try anything else other than this baby mama strategy. It’s not even likely to succeed, so you’ll likely just put the child through the worst life possible for nothing at all.

If the dependant is her husband, I guess she intends to get pregnant for someone else while still married to her Nigerian husband.

It is well.

That means there are people who know what we don't know with the recent influx of FX into the country to buy gov debt. How are these rates sustainable? Plus at some point these guys will have to take their money out, aren't we back to square one?
Nothing is permanent. However, if the govt can mop up cash to control inflation through whatever means it wants to deploy then we are fine.
