Namaster: You are even more not serious self. How will you be saying that 99% of travelers aren't going there because of the intention of making money. That is a complete lie. It's completely nonsense jor. Most people want to make money over there and come back here. It's difficult for you to get the best life over there than here that is why you see Africans doing job that they won't do in their country but you see them doing it over there. You will hardly work to buy a care there or build a house over there. You can't own a good property but you can here. 3 Likes |

allthingsgood: That is my point! So why should anyone conclude that it is not feasible? I personally will now support someone at 40 to make such move if he/she is unskilled, but won’t say it’s not feasible on all grounds. |

Wisdom is profitable to direct. There’s safety in a multitude of counsel. Listen to your intuition. What is right for A might be wrong for B. Seek wisdom. |

You are the one with d flawed argument.. 99% of people travel abroad in order to have more money now and in the future!! The other reasons of organized life et al are just additions to them.. if it is guaranteed to them they will have same or less money, they won't migrate. Namaster: 2 Likes |

Namaster:The reason for relocating for 99% of Nigerians is for economic reasons, make una stop deceiving yourselves. The reason changes when you people realize it's not as rosy as initially thought. Forget all this crap about doing it for the kids, or infrastructure, security bla bla. There are children born abroad to Nigerian parents that are total failures in gangs and prison in the US or UK, the hype of good roads and steady electricity will worn off after a year or two. It's all about the money $£€ for migrating for the vast majority including Africans, Hispanics, Asians even Europeans, seeking better life or the so called American dream is primarily about economics and everything else is secondary. 6 Likes |

Namaster: So apt that there's hardly anything to add. Like they always say that Nigerians don't ask for too much.... They just want to have the basic amenities, the good road, the 4G that's actually 4G, the security of life, life expectancy that's actually worth one, then the dividends of actually paying taxes... Are these too much to ask? Of course, they are too much to ask in a country where political office holders use state money to finance their lifestyle, and horde stolen wealth for 4th and more generations and never get to resign voluntarily from office when accused of misappropriation of public funds. Anyone who has the chance to escape such decadence should do without looking back... 1 Like |

I left Naija at 40. Left an oil and gas jib and worked remotely for a while before fully integrating into the Canadian workforce. I do not regret the move. A lot of my colleagues back home now ask me of I knew Naija would be like this when I made my move. Don't be deceived, if you have an opportunity to relocate legally and you can afford it, and you want it, please leave. If you are in Nigeria and you are comfortable and feel good about it, please stay. Different strokes for different folks! 3 Likes |

Mcslize:The report about the poverty capital is lop sided.A clear disparity between the south and the north of the country. Did you know that 72 % of black adults in the UK are overweight or living in Obesity? Is that an indication of a healthy people? Also,4 out of 5 black females in the USA were overweight or obese. These are similar figures among Nigerians abroad.lt is scary. |
