They don't know that Aliko is a businessman. And the refinery has a very huge debt profile. He will want to capitalize on existing price to make huge profit. Government needs to be involved in pricing of products from his refinery, else , the monopoly continues. |

AAAA67:The federal government, provided almost everything he needed, FG gave him Forex at a very discounted rate, he also had waivers on most of the equipments he imported for the refinery. So, he should splash the price |

They can wait for Port Harcourt refinery or other Modular refinery...he is in an export processing zone ...he is not doing charity. They should go to OPEC and drop the price of crude oil first ....The timeline to build the refinery sef was exceeded and that is extra debt piled up which he has to offset . |

Dangote gets everything at less than local rate and get all the advantages that local investors get but will sell at international rates by factoring into his costs all expenses that importers incur from international trade ![]() |

People thought Dangote is doing it because he loves nigeria or Nigerians It’s for his profit mainly The government has to flood the market, even with cement too before it will crash Go and ask Air peace |

iampeterben:The price of diesel should concern you and everyone one of us. Cheaper diesel would drastically reduced the overall manufacturing cost, transportation and the cost of distributing goods to different parts of the country. This will have a positive effect on the prices of goods and services which you would benefit from. Today high cost of diesel is partly responsible for the high cost of doing business in Nigeria. |

According to the oil marketers, diesel produced at the Dangote refinery has no vessel cost, import charges, and other costs associated with the costs associated with the importation of the commodity into Nigeria. After using Nigeria’s cheap fx and cheap labour to build the refinery, he’s still pricing it as imported fuel Same thing he did with cement and sugar That’s just wickedness |

AAAA67:It doesn't matter, if those importing are bringing it in at N1200 which includes friething charges, but now it's produced in Nigeria the charges for transportation should be out which should bring it lower than the present price. Please the government should hurry and complete Port Harcourt refinery so Dangote can export is products |

Even if sold at #700-#800, these same marketers will smuggle it to neighbouring countries to sell at a higher price instead of selling to Nigerians at the lower price. |

It is relevant to you, all items made in Nigeria are produced using diesel as source of power, the more expensive diesel is the more expensive their products will continue to be. When products leave the manufacturing facilities, the haulage process is dependent on diesel, the lower the cost of diesel, the lower the cost of the products. We pray and hope that diesel prices go way lower than even the 700 naira. iampeterben: |

Really unfair. Dangote block all import of food and kill us with price. I think we should stop celebrating this man. We were happy to ve refinery, and now the prices are beyond import price. Diesel is very important to all of us. The price shud not be more than 600. They shud block exist points to other nebouring countries. Kpom |

This dangote just never comes off as a patriot . He always seems to want to take advantage of the citizens of his own country. Just imagine pricing your diesel at the same price as imported diesel, the same thing he did with cement. If only we ha e a president with the political will to handle such unpatriotic and wicked business men in Nigeria.. You can't try this in South Africa or Ghana even. How can you price a locally produced so high ? |
