Atiku and Wike attend PDP National Caucus meeting

Atiku Abubakar, former vice-president, and Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), on Wednesday attended the national caucus meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The meeting was held at the Bauchi governor’s lodge in the Asokoro district of Abuja, the nation’s capital.

It was the first time Abubakar and Wike would be meeting publicly after the 2023 presidential primary election of the PDP.

Abubakar and Wike vied for the party’s presidential ticket in 2022.

The minister was defeated by the former vice-president.

Following Atiku’s victory, a group of five governors known as the G5 demanded the resignation of Iyorchia Ayu who was then the national chairman of the party.

But Ayu refused to resign.

Wike and his allies in the G5 — Samuel Ortom (Benue); Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia); Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo), would later form a major opposition to Atiku in the 2023 presidential election.

They were believed to have contributed to the defeat of the PDP in the elections.

Since then, the situation has escalated into a prolonged crisis within the party.

One of them "sold" PDP in 2015 and returned to the party and is now working for the party.

The other one sold PDP in 2023 and is now working for APC and doing everything to make APC have upper hand over the PDP which he has refused to leave.

PDP can't do without Wike, Atiku will be thinking something else about Wike that he betrayed him during the election and support Tinubu.

Why are LP supporters telling PDP what to do to Wike? See them calling him a betrayal but when frustrated Peter Obi approached Wike to sell his LP members in Rivers state for a plate of porridge, the agulu thief was hailed as a master strategist.

Atiku sowed the seed of betrayal in 2013, followed by Bukola Saraki.


Then Wike followed their footsteps in 2023 in a more shameless manner. Seyi Makinde my former guy have also joined them in playing tinkotinko game.


If Atiku, Wike cannot leave PDP peacefully and allow the party to pick up the remaining pieces of it's broken self, then PDP will forever remain a discombobulated party of political rascals without shame.
