Of course. Lucky's case is exactly same as that of Jonathan who took over after Yar'Adua's death in 2010, and was allowed to contest twice - 2011 and 2015. Jonathan has set a precedence already for that.

No,a constitution amendment allows him to only one term

Please, can Lucky still recontest if possible win this governorship election?

If no, I suspect other senatorial courtesy zone play a good politics with the south

No he cant

I’m sorry for Sola Oke. He’s a good guy with a wrong wife at this point in time. The mood in the south west, Ondo state especially is against anyone with a wife from a region that despise the Yoruba people. He’s the Atiku of Ondo state politics who is not destined to become governor.

So sad.i like him

This one is just rigging with reckless abandon. In a truly free and fair election it is almost impossible for a candidate to have zero votes.

Are you saying Peter Obi rigged in those places where he got all the votes during the presidential election?

No he cant

Which means not really only power of incumbent but calculation from other 2-senatorial zones.

Instead of 8years as our mentality in Nigeria is programmed, south is going for 5 years.

That's was part of reason some south senatorial don't support him

Power of incumbency

Yoruba has rebelled. We pushed zero tolerance agenda, and our people listened.

We no longer want trace of Ibo in any Yoruba administration, not even as a First Lady on Yoruba soil.

O to gee for Ibo.

Ondo people, we are proud of you. God bless the land of Ekimogun!

Ondo Women said it and did it

Betty Akeredolu truly and really annoyed them
with all her insults

Ondo and Ekiti People have a very Ancient Reputation for Resoluteness once they are pushed to the Wall and take a Stand against anything but this is still truly astonishing

Oke got the Memo

Ahhh! Why can't him contest again? Is it not same scenario as Johnathan and Silver or is there any new law banning such a repeat?

With the way Nigeria is currently structured, any sitting executive that loses any election in which hes a candidate in, is a big, stupid fool. How can Lucky not be leading when he has state resources at his disposal.

Thats why i laugh whenever all these gbajue people always talk about 2027.

No merger can oust Tinubu. Tinubu is not foolish and weak like Jonathan. Atiku himself knows its time up for him already.

The best time to stop Tinubu was last election because rumor had it then that even Buhari was not in support of him.
But Obi and his children just made it easy for him. Obi did Tinubu a lifetime favour.

As for 2027, just forget about it

Congratulations to Lucky and yea, i will soon be Lucky

This is not correct...it all depends on several factors of which being an incumbent is just one of those factors.

Akinwumi Ambode lose his second term primaries in Lagos.

Late Abiola Ajimobi lose his bid to be a senator in OyO State..

In 2023 general elections, many sitting governors couldn't make it to the Senate.

It's finished for Olusola Oke . He's been cancelled forever. He has no chance of becoming Governor in Ondo state. Ondo people spoke and it's loud and clear. No room for for Igbo first lady again in our dear state 😡
