Stop spewing inanities..

God commanded Adam and Eve to "Be fruitful and multiply"...how could God gave commanded them to do that without giving them the "equipment" to achieve that

If the forbidden fruit was sex,how is it that what was forbidden was still used to get Cain and Abel

Guy...

Dey use your braIn...

If your daughter or son has sex before marriage would you be happy? This is the origin why fornication is a sin for sex is only permitted when you are duly and properly married.

So, obviously Adam male and female where still in the dating stage.

And this is where you see why satan hates marriages and attacks couples who are truly in love. And that attack starts from the dating stage or even before the couples meet themselves.

You may have also heard the claims being made by some so-called Christians that the forbidden fruit in the garden was sex, and that Eve had sex with the serpent, also that Cain was the seed of the serpent.

As weird and irritating as that idea sounds, could they be right?

The best way to find out is to go back to the beginning to see what the Bible says about that.

Genesis 2:9 (KJV)

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

So first of all, it was made perfectly clear that the trees God planted in the garden were not in the figurative but literal sense just as we see them up to this very day.

Trees that produce edible fruits which could serve as food to man.

God planted different kinds of such trees which produce edible fruits in the garden, among which was the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 2:15-17 (KJV)

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

So it was after God had planted those trees which produce fruits that could serve as food to man in the garden, that He gave man the right to eat of the fruits of every one of them, except for the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

That's actually where the term "forbidden fruit" stemmed from.

It was because God had forbidden man from eating of the edible fruit produced by that particular tree out of all the trees He had planted in that garden.

So where could they have possibly gotten the idea that the forbidden fruit was sex?

According to the Bible so far, we can all see it definitely wasn't from God.

God bless.
While I don't subscribe to the rubbish idea that the forbidden fruit was sex, I do believe that the garden of Eden story was actually figurative.
1. Serpents don't talk
2. The serpent itself was a figurative representative of the devil
3. What is the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil? Does that make literal sense? No. It was figurative.
4. What about the tree of life? That represents Jesus who provides Eternal life.

So the story was actually figurative of Adam's choice which was kind of a rejection of Christ. Because there was Jesus (tree of life which he wasn't excluded from eating) but he choose something else.

Definitely not sex, cos God already knew that he needed a woman in his life.
And God knew they were gonna eat the fruit, and if they hadn't eaten the fruit we wouldn't have existed. God is the beginning and the everlasting, he already know whats gonna happen in the end, he knows how many people will go to heaven and to hell. ONLY GOD KNOWS..

Typical knee jerk attitude to novel information.

Before today's madness of sex wreckfullness, when a man and woman first meet do they have sex?

Are they allowed to? Is it not after due marriage that they have such permission and right?

Did you not see that they were still at the "a man shall leave his mother and father" stage?

Did they get to the "i declare you man and wife stage?

Did they not obviously jump the gun and forced God's Hand exactly how when a guy impregnates a girl, he is forced to marry her?

Think and try to analyse things you are hearing for the first time!

jesusjnr2020:
But could it have come from the serpent's conversation with the woman?

Let's go there next to find out.

Genesis 3:1-3 (KJV)

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

However even from the conversation that ensued between the serpent and the woman, you can clearly see that the forbidden fruit had nothing to do with sex, but about the edible fruit (food) produced by the tree of knowledge of good and evil that God had commanded them not to eat of.

One of things that even made the woman to be deceived according to the Bible, was because the fruit produced by the tree which God commanded them not to eat of was "good for food".

Genesis 3:6 (KJV)

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

That's why she plucked and ate the fruit produced by the tree which God commanded them not to eat of, and also gave some of the same fruit to her husband to eat.

It was because the forbidden fruit was also "good for food".

So how did the forbidden fruit suddenly turn from food into sex?

Perhaps there's something they're not telling us.

God bless.
It's new age theory, nothing to do with scriptures that the forbidden fruit was sex.

The story of the garden of Eden is only believed by the 3 Abrahamic Faith's as written by Moses who was born and tutored in the house of the Pharaoh's thousands of years after the origin of mankind.

Other earlier religions such as Hinduism, Bhudism and Zoroastrianism have their own beliefs about the beginning and the hereafter.
The 3 major explanations of the origin of man are Religion, Traditional beliefs (Myths) and scientific findings.

According to the earliest religion Hinduism ,the world began with the creation of Manu and Ananti from hence all mankind were procreated.
Then Judaism that followed suit believed in Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.
About 2,000 years after,Christianity and Islam followed the footsteps of their parent religion in their belief in the Garden of Eden mythology.

On the other hand, in Bhudism: in the beginning humans were like spirits ,they moved with ease over the air and requires no mobility.
They had no need to feed, until they got enticed by physical nutriments that eventually weighed them down over time.

Science seems to have disproved some of these beliefs especially when it comes to the age of mankind.

Forbidden fruit isn't sex. Forbidden fruit is about knowledge of knowing right or wrong

Genesis 3:5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will WANT be like God, THINKING YOU know good and evil.” or "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will WANT be like God, DECIDING FOR YOURSELVES WHAT IS good and evil.”

I have read all that you wrote on this thread.

You write the question and answered it yourself, definitively concluding that it wasn't sex, so why ask the question again, when you believe your answer/cum interpretation to be "fact"?

I would have loved to dive into this topic with you, but clearly, your question was rhetorical and not one from an individual who truly wants to "listen so as to be heard"

So I would say to each man his truth.

Peace brother!

Personally, I believe it is s*x. First, the holy book says the tree of life was in the middle of the garden. No let's look at it, the human s*x organ (both male and female) is in the middle of the human body. If you disect a man in two equal parts horizontally, you'll discover that it is from that part you can do that to archive the result. Secondly, the bible also says when the eat the fruit, their eyes became opened. Let's experiment this with a virgin young girl. A young virgin girl can nak*d and have her bath outside anywhere. She can expose her boob and all that. But the moment she start having affairs with her male counterparts she will be shy to do that. She no longer do those things because her eyes will be opened....
