The "you cant take it away" in your comment exposed your person

I have never sprayed before. What I said Is synonymous to saying "Nigerian Police can't stop taking bribe" or "Young Nigerians won't do away with drugs"

These are norms and can't easily be retracted

People will start whistle blowing. So any sensible person won't dare spray money .

The police are already cashing out.

They go to.parties in plain clothes, record the spraying of money at event on their phones and effect arrest after the party.

You can figure out the story always ends when the culprit gets to the station.

Don't lose your money in a bid to impress the world that doesn't really care about you after the party.

Don't think EFCC will always appear with their red jackets.

Police are the real winners here.

The spraying of notes is a Nigerian tradition. It's one of the ways the rich show off their wealth in public gatherings, most especially parties. You can't take it away from Nigerians because they love to show off publicly. Even public office holders are guilty of the crime. This break will not last long. Make Una dey watch

This mentality is sickening.

Of course, the police will cash out on people with coconut heads. Who can't open simple law.

I attended my godson wedding yesterday in ikoyi . ..

Nobody date to spray the juju musician money. They have a designated bowls, where people drop the money or give the cash to the singer.

Bob risky has thought all of you a great lesson. Why given the money to those that are comfortable. Take it to the less privilege one and make them happy in this tough time. This lady doesn't resemble A bike Dabiri.

I even wonder why people give extra money to the musicians after they have been paid for their services by the celebrant.

Is that not stupidity in a bid to show off?

Mostly to show off , But sometimes for acknowledgement, e.g some people derive pleasure when musicians call their name. To boost their ego or to show their social class .

I like what the EFCC are doing.

The worst hit will be those musicians always collect names and start praising VIP guests till their head swell and spray money like water. They will so feel it! shocked

iLegendd:
This law will really help men in their saving culture. It will reduce gold-digging and even kidnapping cuz some of these bad people monitor who sprays the most in an event.

Spraying of money has a spirit just like crypto.

You won't know when you'll be all in spraying 3 million Naira you withdrew just to let people know say men mount, but you only have 2 million left in your account.

Also, spraying is addictive. When you're used to it like Cubana, if you don't spray, it looks like the event is boring to you because your addiction has been taken away by EFCC.

Women hardly spray money. When they manage to, their sugar daddy or husband gave it to them. Men should emulate women in this regard. They're 99.99% stingy with money.

They'd rather buy 6 million Naira fake bone straight hair than spray their best friend 500k at a wedding.

So, if you want to show off, put it in an envelope. If you can't, because no one will see it, you want the world to know what you're giving, then buy the person a car or a house or anything you can afford with the money and can be VIVIDLY seen since that is what you want.

Not getting sprayed during occasions will affect their revenue. People always likes to spray instead of giving envelope. People doing one events or the other will be getting reduced revenue as those that didn't spray may not even bother to drop envelope.

Is it a crime to spray hard currency like Dollars 💸 💶 pounds 💷 etc? I am not comfortable with Efcc busy body. I like the fun that comes with spraying of cash. We must find a way around this

Good development. Sanity they obey abroad should be brought back to Nigeria. They behave better like good citizens abroad but behave like m@d people in Nigeria.

When you don't spray money like that your thinking faculty will start returning back for good. Like Helping people, and so on.

This country is very corrupt..

How can this (Portable) be walking around scout free, when he is the highest abuser of Naira sad
Baba free dis govt people dem just dey use us dey kpa. It's very serious investigative work to prove that someone is abusing naira, photo or video evidence alone is not enough. You first have to prove that it's real naira notes with the currency serial number. The CBN will now verify the serial number against it database to confirm that it's indeed naira. The govt also has to prove that such funds came directly from the accused account to the spraying venue-, now for people that change 200k from 1k notes to 200 or 100 via money sellers at event that's another road block. The thing is so hard that the west do not waste their resources investigating Africans & arabs that spray their currency at functions

They should carry a box in front of the dj or celebrants like offering box, they should be spraying it into the box instead of the one on the ground where people will still match on it. That's not against the law.

Do you know how much it costs to print the naira?

Do you know the economic crimes and leakages that occur as a result of emphasis on cash?

Go figure.

You can take it away because because it was started at a point. It is a bad habit taken too far and it is not limited to the rich alone but to anyone, with that intent, that can get hold of money by any means necessary.

Many wealthy Nigerians are never into the practice of spraying notes.

This law will help some of us...there are some songs a musician will sing that will make you empty your last money lol. Anyways, the best approach is to take to the party only what you plan to spend and no more...Las las na you go regret overspending
