[quote author=Kobojunkie post=129541722]Again, I am not here to hold brief for any religionist here, so don't mistake my response for support for anyone's views as I instead believe in the facts as stated in Scripture. undecided

1. There were at least 7 women recorded as disciples of Jesus Christ while He lived. Women were also sent out with the 72 disciples into areas around the land by Jesus Christ.
Show us where Jesus appointed them?

2. There were female prophets in the Old Covenant times. Two of them were named - Deborah and Anna.
What makes them Prophets? Show us verses?

3. If you paid close attention to Scripture, you would find that God's laws of submission pertained to women in marriage. Zelophadad's daughters - Numbers 27 - were not restricted to the same. And these laws that pertain to submission in marriage had to do with the Nation of Israel in the land of Canaan. That nation was destroyed by the God of Israel about 1900 years ago rendering that Constitutional Law of no real worth to anyone in this day and age. undecided
So what laws do you have today?

New testament Paul

1CO 11:3-10
A woman is to keep her head covered while praying or prophesying.

1CO 14:34-35
Women are to be silent in church. If they have any questions, they are to ask their husbands at home. It is a shame for women to speak in church.

1TI 2:9, 1PE 3:3
Women should not braid their hair, or wear gold or pearls or costly attire.

1TI 2:11-12
Women are to learn in silence (from men) in all submissiveness.

1TI 2:12
Women are not permitted to teach or have authority over men.

Which of these is outdated today?

1. Are you insinuating that Jesus Christ, not only received their contribution from their selling all of their belongings to follow Him(a command which all disciples are meant to carry out to prove themselves worthy of Him) but also sent them out to obey a command given by Him only to His disciples without actually appointing them His disciples? undecided

2. The God of Israel appointed men and women from among the Israelites as Prophets to His people in the Old according to the Law of Moses, for instance, written in Deuteronomy 18 and Numbers 12. Even Miriam, the sister of Moses, was a prophet. undecided
6 God said, “Listen to me! You will have prophets. I, the Lord, will let them learn about me through visions. I will speak to them in dreams.
7 But Moses is not like that. He is my faithful servant—I trust him with everyone in my house.
8 When I speak to him, I talk face to face with him. I don’t use stories with hidden meanings—I show him clearly what I want him to know. And Moses can look at the very image of the Lord. So why were you brave enough to speak against my servant Moses?” - Numbers 12 vs 6 - 8.
Men had no power or say as far as those whom God appointed His prophets. He did it according to His terms as laid down in His Law to them. undecided

3. Jesus Christ is the Law which exists to this day. And His Kingdom is the nation where all those cursed by the Old Law can receive redemption. undecided

Paul's ideas are not Law but ideas which he put forth given he lived in the nation of Israel(and Judah) in the Land of Canaan where the Old Law of Moses held until the end time came about 1900 years ago. The harvest of the Kingdom of God began at the end time and as such the Old Law of Moses became of no worth to all given God Himself had destroyed the physical nation of people by His Judgement. undecided

Here's the kicker! When the nation of Israel is eventually restored by God at the time of the resurrection. The Law of Moses will equally kick back into effect as a result and Jesus Christ will rule again over the Nation by it. At that time, the laws that pertain to marriage will all be null. Why? Because there will exist no marriages at that time. Everyone in the land will be equal under that very Law. grin

So Jesus did not ceremonially accept any female disciples among the 12? Just a Yes or No with full stop!

I quoted the Law of Paul to you earlier which supports the laws in the old testaments!

Are those laws of Paul scriptures or not?

Same Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

If those are his ideas then the New Testament is entirely false since Paul's book is almost half of it and you call them his idea!

1. LOL... NO
(there are no ceremonial appointments or acceptances in the ETERNAL Kingdom of God.)

2. Where in the Law of Moses did you get this notion that those appointed as Prophets by God had to endure some sort of appointment ceremony though? There is no indication in the Old Law of Moses that a special ceremony was required so where do you get this idea of yours from? undecided

3. There is no Law of Paul. There is just Paul stating his own opinions in his letters based on his ideas and experience of the issues of the times in which he lived. You elevating him to law status is all you and nothing. lipsrsealed

4. Yes, Scripture is inspired since it contains records of God's own Prophets. At the time Paul wrote those words you quote to Timothy, he knew his own words do not even constitute scripture at all. And it still does not. Only that his letters are in our day and time contained in a collection that includes that which is Scripture. undecided

5. This conclusion of yours is reached from a point of ignorance. The section of the book called the Bible that is labeled The New Testament is simply a section in the book labeled The New Testament. Paul's letters which are contained in that section of the book are letters that chronicle his experiences and opinions as he maneuvered God's New Law while living in the Land of Canaan during the Last days of God's final judgment against the Nation of Israel(and Judah), by way of His Old Law of Moses. The letters of Paul including those of James, John, Peter, and Jude, are merely commentaries of some of those who were a part of the New Testament/Law and lived in the Land of Canaan at the time of the end. They are not the New Testament/Law/Will/Covenant of the God of Israel. The New Law/Covenant/Testament/Will of God is Jesus Christ, the Last Prophet sent by God of Israel. undecided

Apologies if you feel somehow but you should have requested for the context and verse!

Matthew 15:22-28
A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”

Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

You said Deborah was a Prophetess in the Bible and i asked for proof in your Bible. Is that nonsense to you?

Show me where a man is encouraged to beat his wife in Islam? Note the word encouraged!

Qur'an says a lot of thing which you don't know. If you had read what i wrote earlier you won't have rewritten this. But you just want to stick with your insincere position! So stick with it as i have already answered this.
If God chooses to appoint prophetess, does he need your permission?
If he chose to use animals, is it a problem to you?

Jesus said 'little dog's, not dogs which was a term Jews used for neighbors
The woman herself was not angry and said something that moved Jesus to act

I said Koran allows a man to beat his wife... Instead of you to counter, you said Koran says things I don't know... I don't know what it means to beat someone?

Besides, women have the privilege of resurrection to life in heaven and becoming corulers with God unlike someone imagining sleeping with dozens of women... Nonsense and degrading

Where did Jesus said little dogs?

New International Version
He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

New Living Translation
Jesus responded, “It isn’t right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs.”

English Standard Version
And he answered, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”

Berean Standard Bible
But Jesus replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

Berean Literal Bible
And answering He said, "It is not right to take the children's bread and to cast it to the dogs."

And the desperate woman is not angry as what she needs was only miracles. Jesus didn't even preach to her!

Is it not nonsense and degrading for Jehovah to be shared 32 war virgin booties in Numbers 31:40?

■Is it not nonsense and degrading for Jehovah to be shared 32 war virgin booties in Numbers 31:40?
Virgin is a reference to single women— women who were not married. undecided
40 The soldiers got 16,000 women. They gave 32 women to the Lord.
41 Moses gave all these gifts for the Lord to Eleazar the priest, as the Lord had commanded him .
42 Then Moses counted the people’s half. This was their share that Moses had taken from the soldiers who had gone to war.
43 The people got 337,500 sheep,
44 36,000 cattle,
45 30,500 donkeys,
46 and 16,000 women.
47 Moses took one out of every 50 women and animals. He gave them to the Levites because they took care of the Lord’s Holy Tent. Moses did this as the Lord had commanded.
48 Then the leaders of the army (the leaders over 1000 men and the leaders over 100 men) came to Moses.
49 They told Moses, “We, your servants, have counted our soldiers. We have not missed any of them.
50 So we are bringing the Lord’s gift from every soldier. We are bringing things that are made of gold—armbands, bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces. This gift to the Lord is to make us pure.”
51 So Moses and Eleazar the priest accepted all these gold items from them.
52 The gold that the commanders and captains[c] gave to the Lord weighed about 424 pounds.[d]
53 The soldiers kept the rest of their share of the things they took in war.
54 Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold from the commanders and captains and then put that gold in the Meeting Tent. This present was a memorial before the Lord for the Israelites. - Numbers 31 - 40 - 54
And there is a promise that all of the holy gifts given to God belonged to the High Priest and his family, or something along those lines. I need to find where it is written. undecided

Deborah was a prophetess - Judges 4:4
Miriam was a prophetess- Exodus 15:20
Anna was a prophetess - Luke 2:36
etc
Go and read your Bible and stop talking nonsense

A maiden is a female woman who is not yet married. They could've slaves but were treated fairly
Jesus words to the Syropheonician woman was a term used by the Jews in non Jews. He himself said he was sent to the house of Israel. He did not preach hatred to non Jews, he even helped the woman and commended her. Women were free around Jesus that he allowed a repentant prostitute to wipe his feet and oiled his hair even though his disciples and the religious leaders were mad...

You're just here defending your prophet that could eye a 6 year old girl lustfully and have sex with her at 9 years old and his false premise of sex with 72 virgins... That's the falsest religious lie... When you die, you will not see anything

The marriage was done with the consent of her parents. Mention the Bible law that forbids such marriage!
Can you explain how your God got 32 virgins in Numbers 31:40?
What happened to the thousands of virgins spared in the genocide in Numbers 31?

Male and female who are taken as war captives are usually used as slaves... Check history na

At this point, Jesus explained His current ministry in a way that both the woman and the watching disciples could understand. At that time, His duty was to the people of Israel, not to the Gentiles (Matthew 15:24). Recklessly taking His attention from Israel, in violation of His mission, would be like a father taking food from his children in order to throw it to their pets (Matthews 15:26). The exact word Jesus used here, in Greek, was kunarion, meaning “small dog” or “pet dog.” This is a completely different word from the term kuon, used to refer to unspiritual people or to an “unclean” animal.

Which sane parents would allow a 6 year old to marry a 53 year old man? U sef

Have you seen anywhere in the Bible where female captives were raped? No

Muhammad said a Muslim should marry 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 wives... He . married at least 12... Committed adultery, stole his son's wife....

Where exactly do you want to use Muhammad life to counter Jesus? Showing mercy by killing a woman?

I asked you which Biblical law was broken by this marriage and you are running off point!

Have you seen anywhere in the Bible where female captives were raped?
1) Murder, rape, and pillage at Jabesh-gilead (Judges 21:10-24 NLT)
So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. “This is what you are to do,” they said. “Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin.” Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan.

The Israelite assembly sent a peace delegation to the little remnant of Benjamin who were living at the rock of Rimmon. Then the men of Benjamin returned to their homes, and the four hundred women of Jabesh-gilead who were spared were given to them as wives. But there were not enough women for all of them. The people felt sorry for Benjamin because the LORD had left this gap in the tribes of Israel. So the Israelite leaders asked, “How can we find wives for the few who remain, since all the women of the tribe of Benjamin are dead? There must be heirs for the survivors so that an entire tribe of Israel will not be lost forever. But we cannot give them our own daughters in marriage because we have sworn with a solemn oath that anyone who does this will fall under God’s curse.”

Then they thought of the annual festival of the LORD held in Shiloh, between Lebonah and Bethel, along the east side of the road that goes from Bethel to Shechem. They told the men of Benjamin who still needed wives, “Go and hide in the vineyards. When the women of Shiloh come out for their dances, rush out from the vineyards, and each of you can take one of them home to be your wife! And when their fathers and brothers come to us in protest, we will tell them, ‘Please be understanding. Let them have your daughters, for we didn’t find enough wives for them when we dest60royed Jabesh-gilead. And you are not guilty of breaking the vow since you did not give your daughters in marriage to them.'” So the men of Benjamin did as they were told. They kidnapped the women who took part in the celebration and carried them off to the land of their own inheritance. Then they rebuilt their towns and lived in them. So the assembly of Israel departed by tribes and families, and they returned to their own homes.

Obviously these women were repeatedly raped. These sick bastards killed and raped an entire town and then wanted more virgins, so they hid beside the road to kidnap and rape some more. How can anyone see this as anything but evil?

2) Murder, rape and pillage of the Midianites (Numbers 31:7-18 NLT)
They attacked Midian just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed all the men. All five of the Midianite kings – Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba – died in the battle. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. Then the Israelite army captured the Midianite women and children and seized their cattle and flocks and all their wealth as plunder. They burned all the towns and villages where the Midianites had lived. After they had gathered the plunder and captives, both people and animals, they brought them all to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and to the whole community of Israel, which was camped on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho.

Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people went to meet them outside the camp. But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle. “Why have you let all the women live?” he demanded. “These are the very ones who followed Balaam’s advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD’s people. Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.

Clearly Moses and God approves of rape of virgins.

3) More Murder Rape and Pillage (Deuteronomy 20:10-14)
As you approach a town to attack it, first offer its people terms for peace. If they accept your terms and open the gates to you, then all the people inside will serve you in forced labor. But if they refuse to make peace and prepare to fight, you must attack the town. When the LORD your God hands it over to you, kill every man in the town. But you may keep for yourselves all the women, children, livestock, and other plunder. You may enjoy the spoils of your enemies that the LORD your God has given you.

What kind of God approves of murder, rape, and slavery?

4) Laws of Rape (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NAB)
If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

What kind of lunatic would make a rape victim marry her attacker? Answer: God.

5) Death to the Rape Victim (Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)
If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife.

It is clear that God doesn’t give a damn about the rape victim. He is only concerned about the violation of another mans “property”.

6) David’s Punishment – Polygamy, Rape, Baby Killing, and God’s “Forgiveness” (2 Samuel 12:11-14 NAB)
Thus says the Lord: ‘I will bring evil upon you out of your own house. I will take your wives [plural] while you live to see it, and will give them to your neighbor. He shall lie with your wives in broad daylight. You have done this deed in secret, but I will bring it about in the presence of all Israel, and with the sun looking down.’

Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” Nathan answered David: “The Lord on his part has forgiven your sin: you shall not die. But since you have utterly spurned the Lord by this deed, the child born to you must surely die.” [The child dies seven days later.]

This has got to be one of the sickest quotes of the Bible. God himself brings the completely innocent rape victims to the rapist. What kind of pathetic loser would do something so evil? And then he kills a child! This is sick, really sick!

7) Rape of Female Captives (Deuteronomy 21:10-14 NAB)
“When you go out to war against your enemies and the LORD, your God, delivers them into your hand, so that you take captives, if you see a comely woman among the captives and become so enamored of her that you wish to have her as wife, you may take her home to your house. But before she may live there, she must shave her head and pare her nails and lay aside her captive’s garb. After she has mourned her father and mother for a full month, you may have relations with her, and you shall be her husband and she shall be your wife. However, if later on you lose your liking for her, you shall give her her freedom, if she wishes it; but you shall not sell her or enslave her, since she was married to you under compulsion.”

Once again God approves of forcible rape.

8. Rape and the Spoils of War (Judges 5:30 NAB)
They must be dividing the spoils they took: there must be a damsel or two for each man, Spoils of dyed cloth as Sisera’s spoil, an ornate shawl or two for me in the spoil. (Judges 5:30 NAB)

9) Sex Slaves (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)
When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl’s owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

10) God Assists Rape and Plunder (Zechariah 14:1-2 NAB)
Lo, a day shall come for the Lord when the spoils shall be divided in your midst. And I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle: the city shall be taken, houses plundered, women ravished; half of the city shall go into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be removed from the city. (Zechariah 14:1-2 NAB)

What do you think of all these rapes?

Muhammad said a Muslim should marry 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 wives... He . married at least 12... Committed adultery, stole his son's wife....
Allah said so and Muhammad was exempted. How many did your God told you to marry? Didn't your God give David more wives when he already had seven?

Where exactly do you want to use Muhammad life to counter Jesus? Showing mercy by killing a woman?
I don't see any comparison between the two!
Jesus was sent to the lost sheep of Israel while Muhammad was sent to the whole world!
Didn't Jehovah kill many in the Old testament? Does that stain him in any way?

What happened to them after their parents and families were killed?

A small dog is even worse, demeaning and derogatory!

What about all these below? You skipped them?

Matthew 23:33
Jesus said "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?

Luke 11:40
Jesus said "You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also?"

Matthew 16:23
Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."

I asked you which Biblical law was broken by this marriage and you are running off point!
