Iwo t'an w'aparo bii kafi dala, ori eye ni o pe'ye. This shows the very point I was trying to make in the last post about the root meaning of the name 'aparo', this goes a long way to reveal how intelligent the ancient Yoruba wordsmiths were and in spite of clearness of their ideas, if you are not resourceful upstairs, you will only be looking at a word and will never be able to access the meaning. There are thousands of cases like this in Yoruba landuage. Let me try the etymology of Agbabiaka, for my kinsman, Osolo of Isolo, omo Isoloshi ile Ijamido, iganmode Afeleja, Osolo omo Aina Gbeto, sun re o. May God repose his soul. Agbabiaka simply implies a body that spins like a circle. Whenever we come across agba, if we look at it carefully, it often connotes spherical object in Yoruba. From this, I can confidently say Yoruba understood the concept of a spherical world as ancient mariners, or sea people whose history were well attested in the ancient world history. For this, the Yoruba speaks of agbanla Aye, "the great spinning (circling) earth". How do we establish this? We have to understand ancient Yoruba law of physics that says "ajantuka ni tagba aarin". What this implies is that "it's impossible to try to tie three spherical objects together in a rope without the one in the middle jumping out." once we can decode the meaning of "tagbaarin", we would have access to the meaning of the entire statement and the implication of "agba" as used here. then it can be applied elsewhere. Yoruba is a language that harbors great knowledge. We can decode every word that come across as 'imponderable' scientifically.

Tbh, I see why some often bring this up, considering some similar strange cultures such as, making the second twin the elder of the twins, female child inheritance etc and there are also the several Yoruba words which matches the Hebrew words with similar meanings, such as Aye (Hayah) means to exist or life. Aanu (Hannah) means Mercy/favour. Orun (Arun) means height. Lale (Laylah) means Night. Binu (benas) means anger. Melo (Melo) means fullness. Iwa (Iwa) means strong character/righteousness. Eyinju (Ayin) means Eyes. Oluwa (Eloah/Elowah) means Lord. Ara (Raahm) means thunder. Ori (Rosh) means head. Ibere (Barasheet) means beginning. Baale (Baale of Judah). And so-on. Meanwhile, the Yoruba weren't even trading with the Hebrews hence the reason why these are all strange. Lol. Aside that, Ifa which is Yoruba religion (and also entails the history of the Yoruba) talks about the Messiah being the Word born of a virgin woman as the begotten child of God while also referring to the Yoruba as "Omoluabi" which means the children of God. Also, the Yoruba have also got similar names for God as the Hebrew's names for God for example, Yoruba names for God are Oluwa, Olorun, Eledumare, ìyè/Eriwoyah which are similar to the Hebrew's names for God such as Eloah/Elowah, Elohim, El 'mareh, Yahweh.. All these are mysterious tbh. Anyways, I have come to a stage where I have decided on two theories which are, either the Yoruba were Hebrew who left Egypt at the time the Hebrew were still in Egypt (Moses also left too and would have stayed where he was if not for the fact that he was asked to go lead out the other Hebrews). As I previously stated, if the Yoruba were Hebrews, I understand why all that were happening in Judea were also happening in Yorubaland since the Hebrew were promised of the Messiah 🤔 Either that or the Yoruba are just ancient people doing their things. It's even annoying that the ancient Egyptians described as blacks by the Greeks such as Aristotle, Plato etc were destroyed by the Arabs who had almost destroyed the other Northern Africans, including the Hausa who were already having most of their language changed into that of Arab until Rupert East preserved what was left of their Hausa language by asking the Hausa to document it. Tbh, while the Europeans aren't without faults of course, however, I actually appreciate the fact that they preserved the African heritage📌 and ensured a lot were documented back then, as well as the map! |

Olu317:Yoruba predates a lot of things because Yoruba have got an ancient African gene with an ancient Eurasian admixture thus it means the Yoruba are ancient people. It's either the ancient Yoruba went out to birth others before returning back to Africa or the Yoruba were part of the early Jews but parted early, considering the Jews were in and out of Africa in the Old BC timeline. Of course Yoruba language has got a mix of old Jewish language with African language just as their ancient gene shows an ancient African gene with an ancient Eurasian admixture. The Yoruba language itself is a mix of African (which includes the old Coptic), Semitic, Asiatic etc. maybe some Greek/Euro considering some Greeks words such as Apata - Peter which means "Rock" or Lara, Adelaide etc.. Lol. Funnily, there was a talk of people with strange language below the Ethiopia river where two rivers divides a land in Isaiah 18:2-3? Isn't that Lokoja, a Yoruba named town which is the home of the Yoruba westwards? As a matter of fact, Yoruba calls God the same several names as the Jewish several names for God. For example, Oluwa (Eloah), Olorun (Elohim), El 'mareh (Eledumare/Olodumare), Ìyè/Eriwoyah (Yahweh). To add to the description btw, apart from IFA calling the Yoruba Omoluabi, Ifa also calls the Yoruba "Adulawo". Now the question is, are the Yoruba the dispersed ones below the Ethiopia river often talked for example in Isaiah 18:1-3 and also in Zeph 3:10 or they're just ancient people doing their thing? 😅 Yahweh did say his people shall bear his name. Yoruba ended up bearing Yoruba name given by Oranmiyan/Sango. Not to mention the fact that a messiah born of a virgin woman was also sent to the Yoruba. On the other hand, Yoruba could also be ancient people just doing their thing. Besides, the dispersed ones should be in Ethiopa and Europe na.. It's strange how Yoruba have got similar several names for God as the Jewish names.. Either ways, Yoruba are quite mysterious ..Anyways, Yoruba religion which is Ifa is all about intelligence, creativity and civilization. |

Dsimmer:Let me add that In some version, especially in the KJV version, the Isaiah 18:2-3 says the river spoiled their land (not divides the land). So if the passage was talking about how some people's land was spoilt by river, it can't be Lokoja/Yorubaland na. Lol 😂😂 Meanwhile, the ancient Eurasian admixture gene and language stuff made me have two theories which is either the Yoruba are ancient people doing their thing📌 or some early Jews in the old BC timeline (considering the fact that the Yoruba have got similar names for God as the Jewish and were also sent a messiah born of a virgin woman).. Or as I stated, they could be ancient people doing their thing. Either ways... |

Dsimmer:Baba, good efforts, but you have a choice to make: research the Yoruba history from the best perspective you supposed with the deductible inference from the materials at your disposal. You can't be the one making progress with what have you and the same person cancelling your own findings. Otherwise, you are making what you wish the evidence of your myriad claims. |

absoluteSuccess:Wetin man go do na 😂 Tbh, I have always felt the Jews should be in the Ethiopa and areas surrounding Ethiopia which should be their hotspot apart from Europe. I didn't even think Yoruba could ever be Jews but then there's the ancient Eurasian admixture, plus the similar names for God as the Jewish. Tbh, I don't know at this point. Either the Yoruba parted early from the Jews or they are ancient people doing their thing. It's a mystery tbh. Lol. I mean Yoruba have got ancient African ancient gene but with ancient Eurasian admixture. Funnily, Yoruba have got the oldest Eurasian admixture in Africa thus meaning it's not something recent. It's funny at this point. Quite a mystery. Lol. If I'm to look at it according to the history sequence in the bible, I would say Abraham and Sarah were probably picked because Abraham and Sarah probably had ancient Eurasian gene. The purpose was for them to birth a son who would mix with the ancient African thereby completing the mixture of the ancient African gene with the ancient Eurasian gene of Abraham & Sarah. Could that be the reason why Jacob's 12 children were in Egypt for several Centuries to ensure several multiple thousands of African generations that later returned to Judea? 😂 This is just me thinking out loud 😂 Pharaoh Ramses of Egypt who was around the time the Isrealites were in and out of Egypt has mostly subsaharan gene📌 which buttress the point of the ancient Greeks who emphatically stated that the ancient Egyptians were Black. Not like it was ever in doubt because every old books, including the bible described the Egyptians as blacks. As a matter of fact, if Jesus was representing the first man as it was stated, there was no way Jesus would come in white skin, even as Jesus was described as a black man in the bible and as we know already, black skin is the original dominant gene while white skin is the mutant recessive gene which came out of black gene. The first man who was a black man had a dominant Black gene and a recessive Eurasian gene📌 and if Jesus was representing the first man, he had to be black, even as Jesus was described as black in the bible however since Jesus was said to be representing everyone, Eurasian gene which came out of the black gene had to also be in the picture, thus the ancient Eurasian gene of Abraham and Sarah which combined with the ancient African gene before Jesus was born. This is just me thinking loud 😂 I mean this is the only thing I can come up with if Yoruba are Jews. Lol 😂.. So basically, Yoruba having ancient African gene but also with ancient Eurasian admixture made me come up with the two theories which was Yoruba either parted from the early Jews in the Old BC timeline, considering Yoruba have got similar names for God as the Jewish, coupled with the messiah born of a virgin woman also sent to the Yoruba OR the Yoruba are just ancient people doing their own thing and birthed the Eurasians. |

Dsimmer:Alright, now I understand your position, you are still on a journey of discovery. I believe this is just the early stage of making your findings and from there you will eventually make a conclusive deduction either to make a final leap here or there. Its all good boss, its almost about the same way I started out too. Just don't be too religious about it, it would mislead you. Leave God, Ela and the virgin woman out of it or else you wont go far trying to factor them in every time you want to say something. Deal with one item, move to the next, don't dwell on your favourite-piece of "discovery" forever. You can't be repeating the same story over and over and not get your readers eternally bored. May God enable you more enlightenment sir. |

absoluteSuccess:I'm simply bringing out every visible facts to the table. The coincidence of the ancient Eurasian admixture and the similar several names for God as the Jewish several names is a mystery. So either the Yoruba parted early from the Jews or are ancient people doing their thing. |

absoluteSuccess:I'm simply bringing out every visible facts to the table. The coincidence of the ancient Eurasian admixture and the similar several names for God (Oluwa, Olorun, Olodumare, Eriwoyah📍) as the Jewish several names is a mystery. So either the Yoruba parted early from the Jews or are ancient people doing their thing. We know the Isrealites spent several centuries in Egypt and mixed with the Egyptians because they were described as Egyptians looking. The Israelites were few to begin with at the time they arrived in Egypt but became several multiple thousands Africans who looked like the Egyptians before leaving Egypt. And we know the Egyptians were blacks. Ramses Pharaoh of Egypt for example has mostly subsaharan gene. Thus meaning the Egyptians were blacks. Not like it was ever in doubt because all the ancient books stated the same about the Egyptians. So the Jews were just like the Egyptians before leaving for Judea. Jesus was described as a black man too. Well, since it was stated that he was representing the first man, he had to be black man in the first place because the first man was a Black man📌 I mean Black gene is the dominant gene while Eurasian is the recessive gene. I mean this is simple for someone using his brain. Black is the original and dominant gene while Eurasian is the recessive gene. Hence my conclusion is either the Yoruba parted early from the Jews, considering the several similar names for God or they're just ancient people doing their own thing. |

absoluteSuccess:Yeah, I simply emphasized how the Jews were Africans, in relative to the ancient Black Egyptians since the Jews were Egyptian looking in nature. There was even some old articles where the Europeans were referring to the Yoruba as the Jews residing in Africa during the early colonization. So whether Yorubas are Jews or not, the Europeans always knew the Jews were Blacks to begin with before they were dispersed into Europe📌📌 Speaking of the Eurasian admixture, the Eurasian admixture of the East Africans (Ethiopian for example) is the second oldest after the Yoruba while that of the North Africans is the least oldest 📌📌 That was why I came up with the two theories. Either the Yoruba parted early from the Jews in the old BC timeline or the Yoruba could also be ancient people doing their things like I theorised. I mean the Yoruba have got ancient African gene, including the ghost DNA. |

Dsimmer:Well, Ifaodu is the world encyclopedia and not for Yoruba's alone. Cartology of European explorers actually mentioned part of Yoruba as Judah Territory. Judah here may be referred to Odua ,considering the location and the people being spoken of as Jews. Infact, Portuguese monarch after revolution against Black monarch and other nobles deported Jews in around early 16th century to Africa. |

Dsimmer:Although many would always opposed to this based on their myopic view. However, I want to state here that the Yoruba people of today were not of one origin; of recent were people from Baruba, Nupe, etc origins. The most ancient among the Yorubas were the Urahurẹs (Ara urẹ/wẹwẹ) as we called them in Ekiti; some said they were pygmies, others said they were Koisans. These groups ancestors made those marks you find on the rocks in Iṣarun, around present Ondo and Ekiti States. Also those Archeological discoveries in Iwo Ẹlẹru. They populated this region before the coming of Ulesuns. The Ulesuns as we referred to them were not just one group but the most popular ones gave Yorubas most of their religion and traditions. The Ogun, Obatala, Orunmila, Láàlu, Agboniregun, etc. They shared almost same origin with Crete, Greeks and some of the Phoenicians, etc. They migrated earlier to settle in W/Africa particularly Ife, Ado Ekiti, Ikole and most parts of present Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Kogi and Edo. They actually came with story of first Ife establishment in the Mediterranean. Other Kemet groups like kwararafa, kenem, Igala started joining them, the Igala in particular and some of these groups also moved to Edo and the Niger Delta (Obagodo of Igodomigodo, the Oru peoplem etc The last major people that made up Yoruba and which formed most of the ruling class now were Semitic and the first group among them came from Mesopotamia, there were others from northeastern part of Africa, etc. (you can research the initial crises of some of Ọmọ Ọwá Ọbas in Ekiti vs Oore of Ọtun). Majority of these groups didn't originally intermarried with the other groups they met on ground, they married from themselves until it wasn't possible again. The organised the region monarchically, expand and rule over Ulesun villages. They reshape some of the traditions pertaining to naming, circumcision, etc... Some great ones among them retook Ulesun greatmen's names. Many groups came from present northern Sudan and Oromo region of Ethiopia. Some Phoenicians who had become Christians also came later through the Sea and joined up, reasons we have Morèmi and Èlà, ọjọ Ẹtì, Ọjọ Abameta and Aiku mixed up. There was fusion of the religion of the first Semitic group with that of Ulesuns. The language of the the Ulesuns that was a mixture with Kemet, because of so many groups from kemet, also prevalent. It's due to the above we have multiple oral tradition of our origin. We are one people now, very proud one! Most don't wants to really associate with anything Semitic because of the two new religions and their rivalry. It now depends on which history one believes or imposes on others... because some don't want to research anything but hold to just one of these origins, nothing more, nothing less... |

Alba3:Nah. Yoruba's Eurasian admix is much older than both North Africans and North East Africans 😆 As a matter of fact, Ile Ife is the beginning of all Yoruba, even as always stated by Ifa which is the only true source of Yoruba history📍 Btw, Ifa also added that Yoruba ancestors have been through several Ife but everywhere Yoruba first settled, it's always named Ife which is the beginning of all Yoruba. Strangely, the first home of the Israel is also named "Ber'sheva" 🧐 The Israelites also have the same word as Yoruba for "beginning" which is Bereshesh similar to Yoruba's "Ibere/Beresheshe" for "Beginning". It's even strange how Ber'sheva is similar to the word "Ibere sese Ife" which Ifa always says as the "beginning" of Yoruba's origin. As a matter of fact, Yoruba have several Jewish words as you already noticed and the funny thing is Yoruba never traded with the Jewish. Lol. Yoruba also practice "Akobi" twin culture of making the second born of the twins the "Akobi" of the twins which is exactly as the case of J(akob)📌 On the fossil found in Iho eleru, no one knows the DNA of the fossil nor whether it's even an animal mammal fossil to begin with but one fact known is Ondo and Ekiti came from Ile Ife which is the beginning of all Yoruba. Hence, my theory which is either the Yoruba could be ancient people doing their things or the Yoruba parted early from the Jews in the old BC timeline since Ile Ife is BC. |
