There's no standard exam again in Nigeria. Good education is only achieved with pre school age! These half baked graduates are just a tonne of underpriced educational system. From the Head of States to the minister, down to the Area Education Officers. Nothing good has ever come out of the leadership traits. 2 Likes |

I don't ask students about their WAEC or NECO results anymore. If I want to gauge a student's strength in academics all I need is the JAMB score and score in the four subject combo written in JAMB. 17 Likes 1 Share |

sammy329: It's very possible, given that the modus operandi for both exams are different. JAMB not only tests your knowledge, but also tests your ability to answer questions speedily and accurately within a very short time. 13 Likes 4 Shares |

The reason for the poor performance is not farfetched. What can one expect from a generation where a lot of youths are more concerned about social media buzz that pursuing a professional career? Every youth now wants to become a content creator even though most of them lack the talent or wit to engage people, just some dumb, random ideas to gain popularity. The government are also not exempted, they've really failed us. They've made most of us believe that going to school here in Nigeria is a stupid idea and a sheer waste of time. It's just sad it doesn't seem like things are going to get better, it just seems like this country has been set up for a neverending journey of destruction. 14 Likes 2 Shares |

[quote author=sammy329 post=129701933]This is so disturbing!! JAMB really exposed a lot of things, you will see people having, 5 A1s in WAEC or NECO and they can't even get up to 200 in JAMB. It’s possible. I know someone who got 8 A’s and 1 C in SSCE, but scored 219 in UTME/JAMB. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

What do you expect when you keep lowering the cut off mark? Imagine cut off mark is 140, why stress yourself to get 200 and above when you can just go there and score 100-140? 4 Likes |

You have forgotten this is not the man that snake n lizard use to swallow money under him. This is the man that turn Jamb into a revenue generation ministry without increasing exam fee while all the others from 1999 always demand for additional funding from FG. Cindypresh: 4 Likes 1 Share |
