turmacs:You can even Join Cameroon or Rwanda... Konkanye .... Togo 🇹🇬, Benin(Cotonou), Ghana, Ivory Coast are countries With Landmass not upto Southwestern Nigeria ... if they are surviving, any Break Up part would survive in Nigeria... I doubt Lesotho 🇱🇸 is bigger than southeastern Nigeria .... But laslas, Nigeria must be Unified & Remain One Nation, That one is Dole(Unchangeable)! |

favor914:The noise is all about the impartiality played out by FG. Landmark asked to use the original plan but they refused only to twist the same plan in other places. Ask yourself if you are the one will you be happy? |

Whenever I see this kind of post from the people who got opportunity to have huge followers, I fear the future of the country because influencers got huge Influence on upcoming youths. The mind of most influencers are shallow. Most of the countries you guys look up to did many horrible things in their early years ( watch the men who build America documentary). Developing means transforming, and in this stage many things will happen. You will see the impacts of the decision years later. |

CyberWolf:I already explored both sides of the story. The crux of the issue here is that people are painting the case as though Landmark's buildings were demolished. I totally understand it's a beach resort and I faulted the LASG and FG for granting such licenses in the first place. I don't know if there's a clause saying government still had unfettered access to such locations, cos it's quite possible. Either ways, I hope he gets compensated well. |

Freebills12:you obviously copied from google A Certificate of Occupancy is a government-issued document that grants a person, a group of individuals, or a corporation possession and right of occupancy in a certain piece of land for all purposes for a period of 99 years. Section 9 of the Land Use Act 1978 empowers the State Governor of the State of Nigeria, where the land is situated, to grant a certificate of occupancy. The Section provides that "it shall be lawful for the Governor if a person is entitled to a statutory right of occupancy; the issue of a Certificate shall be accompanied by proof of that right of occupancy." Section 28 of the Act allows the Governor to revoke a Certificate of Occupancy issued on land for reasons of overriding public interest, whereas a Deed of Assignment cannot be revoked; only the Governor's consent granted upon the perfection of the Deed can be revoked. a Certificate of Occupancy is not a good root of title, especially if there are other existing interests on the property, whereas a Deed of Assignment serves as a proper root of title |

favor914:Barbeach and other beaches have been there for a while.. How much revenue have they realized via tourism?.. Abi dem no near the Atlantic enough? .. Abi it is only when there is a coastal road from Lagos to Birnin-Kebbi that the tourism potential in Nigeria's Coast will suddenly jump out? Or is it the same coast of which most of it has been sandfilled and developed by Lagos State that will suddenly be un-sandfilled so that foreigners can jet-ski and sun-bath? ![]() In fact, let me even ask you, after Lagos State, which and which parts of Nigeria have Ocean-side beaches that will be along that your useless highway? |

turmacs:Politicians are the ones using tribalism and religion to divide the unity of Nigerians. T he last election saw that t he south were unified to vote LP irrespective of his tribe but when he lost, it was same Nigerians played the tribal card. It’s none of my business who becomes president in the next election but as long as he is doing the will of the people, no problem. The thing, all politicians who get there are selfish and greedy. The person who made the statement is from SW. |

Nigeria readily breaks your heart, I totally get where Tayo is coming from. Imagine investing all that money, all that sweat, only for an avoidable government decision to destroy all that you've built. I remember when we at Ocean Guard Maritime Logistics Ltd were trying to get investors, one thing was sure with all our outreach, they were scared of the market volatility. |

Bliss4Lyfe:So that is why the moment a child is born in the Sad East, he's already thinking of how to escape to Ibadan, Abeokuta, Lagos, Ondo, and other SW cities. Abi you have not been to those places before? There are Ibgos in all those cities but you will not find Yorubas in your cities in any significant numbers. Go and wonder why. |

Racoon:When last did you visit Lagos Badagry and Lagos Ibadan? First Lagos Badagry is under purveyor of Lagos State since the concession agreement they signed with the Yaradua government. Lagos Ibadan is nearing completion since last year I visited Ibadan. Why will David Umuahi focus on them? I can't say anything about the Abuja Lokoja road. I haven't been in that road before. |

CommonSense1967:100%. I don't blame them for fleeing their barren land. Even one pharmaceutical company owned by an Ibo woman announced a few days ago that she was sighting her new 20m dollars factory in Ogun state. South Easterners were all over the thread crying. |

Reflect7:that was not the original plan of the road,if you visit that area you will notice that people have refused to put infrastructure on the original route, the one that affects landmark beach is a new plan altogether. |

Arafat1:so government should destroy all those properties and businesses on the red axis and leave the yellow one because an igbo man own a property there. you can clearly see the amount of damage that will be done if government destroy the properties and businesses on the red axis compared to the yellow axis

turmacs:How can you invest so much in a place without the necessary documentation from the state government. Does he have c of o of that place? Did he get approval to build it? Now you are making it a tribal thing because it's in Lagos. Many properties are being pulled down by state governments in the east. Is that also Yoruba against Igbos? You being sentimental issue doesn't help matters at all. |

udomonday:The original route would have involved more demolition and more cost to the government hence they went the route on a property that still belonged to the FG. Why would they demolish buildings/homes on a route that has thousands of houses in road expansion just to avoid demolishing maybe 10 properties? |
