Good morning Gurus in the house.
Please I will like to be advised on my current situation.
My student permit application was approved just 3 days to resumption May intake (spring). So I couldn’t meet up with the resumption because submission of passport itself take few days before collection, booking of flight and all. So i planned to defer the Admision to fall (September) which I did two days back.

But I got their decision this morning on OCAS page that my deferal was denied. What can I do please?

Good morning everyone.

Please someone should help answer this question.
My sister is acting as my co-sponsor and paying my fees for me but my living expenses and other funds are in my account.
My question, is it necessary for my sister to transfer the fees to my account?

Write to the school to request if they can extend your resumption by 1 month, which will give you time to stamp your passport and possibly travel. Send copies of the approval to them

Can you pls explain how this GIC funding works.
1. Can the funds of $20k be wired from the US into the students dom account?
2. Can the student wire the $20k received to dom account into the Canadian GIC account OR how does it work?

1)Yes, Your dom account can receive from US.

2)Once the student's dom account is funded... go ahead and initiate a GiC application from a participating Canadian financial institution then wire the money using the payment instruction provided by the Canadian bank.

Thank you very much. I have a Dom account and It's even from my Dom account I asked if they could send my money to open a GIC account. Thank you very much.

Daveconsult007:

You don't need all that stress.

Open a USD domiciliary account, buy dollar and fund the account ....then initiate a GIC process with a participating Canadian bank and wire your dollars to the bank from your dom account..there are charges for it

Good afternoon Everyone!

Please, I applied for a spousal open work permit for my husband and I just received a passport request with a correspondences letter. However, he already has a visitor's visa which is still valid, so we didn't apply for a visa. We re surprised to get a PPR instead of an introduction letter to present at immigration in Canada. Please. Has anyone experienced this? What can we do?

No, she doesn't need to transfer the funds to your account, she can pay from her account. upload the receipt of payment as evidence and you can include other documents to prove her source of income.

Please use a commercial bank for SOA, a traditional marriage certificate is not acceptable even by your govt. you will need news paper publication for a change of name.

If your husband has been approved for a spouse open work permit, he should indeed proceed to submit his passport for stamping. Once stamped, the passport will serve as proof of his authorization to work in Canada under the open work permit. This step is essential before any further documentation, such as an introduction letter or eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization), is processed.

You are expected to show POF for your first year tuition and one year living expenses, then show sources to for the POF for the remaining period of the course.

So that means if my first year school tuition and fees is $17,000. I need a bank statement showing about $40,000 or more for me to be safe?

Hello Good morning

Please who's conversant with the Humber college application process.

Can I be able to submit more documents after I pay application fees and click submit

Want to pay the application fees and submit the remaining documents gradually because I don't have them yet and I don't want to see that the program I'm going for is closed

Hey guys, can someone help me. I having issues with the maximum 2mb file limit on IRCC website. My proof of Funds is quite large cause I have two sponsors and I can't compress them well enough that will make them with 2mb and still be legible to read. I planned to divide it into two and upload the second file in the personal consent file allocation and them give an explanation in my letter of explanation of what I did. Please is this a good idea or is there another option that can be recommended?

Not really, some VOs do not bother to check documents wrongly placed, when they click on POF section they expect to see every document related to POF there, going to other sections to check might be time consuming. Why don't you try MBS for the statement?

That is risky, because some VOs might not access the documents you later submit as part of your application. The ideal thing is submit all relevant docs at once.

Please what is MBS?
Also I stated in my Letter of explanation what I did with my proof of Funds upload and I made it in bold letters.

Having divided the documents into two, convert both to a pdf and merge them. You can use ilovepdf.com to this. Then compress again with pdf2go.com. it will be clear to read.

Hey guys. I don't know how long this post might stay before taking down but we have a WhatsApp group with few members now for a while where we share update and experience from School application to the study permit process and we help one another with any info about the study permit process they don't understand. We also trying to connect with other ontario aspirant from here so we could link up some day and collaborate with housing and school issues when settling down. Message me on WhatsApp and you'd be added to it. You could also join if you tryna learn how to apply yourself without the help of any dubious agency.
