I want to know if the Acura TL 2012 is a Good car also I want to compare it to a Honda Accord 2014 v6

If am buying the Acura TL I will get the Tokunbo but if am buying the Honda Accord I will go for the Nigeria used.

Acura TL especially those with the 3.7L V6 but remember you will need octane booster to as the fuel has premium recommended. Accord isn't bad if you want the 4-cylinder for better gas mileage

Good day everyone. I am a second time car buyer. My first purchase was a brand new 2018 Hyundai Elantra back in 2020. Car got ruined in 3 months. I am looking to buy a car once again and I want something that's manageable, easy to maintain, stylish and an affordable SUV. My budget is 5-9M. I particularly been fond of the Acura MDX series but what I hear about the brand online discourages me a lot (something about electrical problems). I have no experience with car management, I only know how to drive. Would really appreciate if I get responses and suggestions to this question.

I'm curious. What ruined a brand new car in 3 months?

MDX 1st generation was plagued with transmission issues so likely avoid. The 2007 upwards were better and more reliable especially 2010 upwards with the 3.7L V6 engines. They are just not good in fuel economy especially for city driving and areas with traffic. As for electrical issues it must be due to technical error from wrong technician handling the repairs or buying a Lemon car from the onset.

As a first timer I think you will do well with a CR-V just buy the EX or EX-L trim they are a bit posh and loaded.

A friend drove it into a police vehicle, smashed the front and got arrested by the police and I was writing my project so didn't know about any of it until after the car parts were sold for very cheap. I had to sell it for scraps when I eventually found out and went to the police station. Ever since then, cars just were a big no for me.

Apologies just saw that you mention a budget of 6m, hmmm that is a tight one in today's market. Hmmm, tHE 2013 accord isn't a bad choice, Nigeria used, do the v6. Cheers and all the best.

I'm curious, 2013 is the first of the 9th generation and beginning of CVT in the accord. Cars.com, Edmund reviews claim it's problematic as most first generations tend to be with excessive oil burning, battery etc as some common problems. Wondering if anyone has a hands on experience using the 2013 model cc @Nurey

We always advice against 1st gen of vehicles because you don't want to be a guinea pig but the Accord in question is already 11years so it is good. Yes the Honda turbo engines of that year were plagued with oil dilution issues reason why it's better to buy the V6 which had a conventional auto though the CVT transmission isn't problematic.

Hello house

What’s the difference between GLE43, GLE 450 and GLE450 AMG 2017/2018 models in terms of adaptability to Nigerian roads, ease of use by Nigerian owners, handling and comfortability(SUV version not the coupe).
Also what can you say about the reliability as compared to GLE 350 of the same year.

Pretty sure those three cars are essentially all the same thing under the hood.

Differences will likely be in design, options, exhaust and engine tuning, and ride comfort.

Any idea on how reliable it would be in Nigerian roads compared with Lexus RX or GX of same year

Lexus will be more reliable at the end of the day, but I don't think the GLE has any fatal flaws.

For the same money, I'd do the GLE for sure.

Differences are just in their performance options and a few difference in functions and trims. some are v6 naturally aspirated, some bi-turbos while some v8 NA and V8 bi-turbo.

The lexuses are far more reliable anytime anyday, but for the same price...? i'll rather be cruising around in luxury

What makes you feel/think the Lexus GX isn't luxury?

There's no V8 car listed in his post. The GLE450, GLE450 AMG, and GLE43 he named all use the same Turbocharged M276.

Hello house

So I drive an Hyundai Elantra 2017 at the moment, but I'm looking to dispose it and do an SUV next. I'm looking for the best option between these three
1. GLK 2010
2. Venza 2010 or
3. MDX 2010/11/12

I think I like the build of all 3, but I have read so many reviews on them from other threads and YouTube that I am more confused than when I started researching.

My preference is basically fuel economy and peace of mind. I do long distance travel maybe once in 2/3 months, all other waka is mostly running short errands for my wife or the occasional outing to parties. All in all, I hardly go out.

I'd like to leverage on the advise from the knowledgeable chairmen on this thread, what is your strongest recommendation?

N.B: Budget is <= 10m. With the present state of the economy I have made peace with the fact that I may have to do Nigerian used (which is against my better judgement anyway).

Sorry to ask...why do you want to dispose the 2017 Elantra? Does it have any issues? I'll be interested in getting it.

Issues keh, maybe I should have used another word o because it has zero issues and still very clean. It's my baby girl and I absolutely love it but I've driven it for a few years and I'm tired and it doesn't excite me as much anymore. I'd have posted pictures here but I don't want it tagged as an advert so you can WhatsApp me for pictures and stuff 0.8.1.6 672 33 19

Buy a Tokunbo with your 10m, what ever reliable vehicle it is within range of. Naija used of those vehicles are expensive, better you buy tokunbo than naija used to have peace of mind.
