For all of you that keep expressing extremist views here and on other platforms. A word is enough for the wise.

Lol there’s freedom of speech. The consequences of that speech, however, is a different thing.
lavida001:
So we do not have freedom of speech ?

Lmao really?? Asin comments like this is why Israel is relentlessly displaying a disproportionate show of terror?

Interesting.
ehizario2012:
Oh what a glorious day! I know there's still a lot of sanity left in the UK, regardless of some challenges. Reasonable decision, it's people/comments like this student that gives Israel reasons to continue the counterattack without restraint.

Passed my driving Test today 1st attempt. I am so ecstatic, having to unlearn all my naija driving bad habits and picking up the disciplined defensive driving in the Uk has been mind wrecking.. Thank God am through that stage now. Tips and recommendations from this thread were very help. All people that pasted youtube reommendations..Daalu.

Having said that I would like to sound a note of warning to people like me that have coconut head like me, wey no dey hear word. Despite all the warnings from Lexusgs430 and other elders in house about not driving unsupervised with provisional license. I went and bought a car earlier this year and entered road. First day I took the car out, I got stopped by the police and got 3 points on my provisional (talk about bad luck), I was lucky the car was not impounded, they police guy just pity me small. What gave me mind was seeing lots of people driving on provisional without issue. E reach my turn, dem catch me. Please if you are driving on provisional, book that driving test today abeg. Do not be like me, Do not have coconut head. grin

I did 24 sessions in total , across three tutors till I found the one that was good, one naija driving tutor was the absolute worst. He just kept shouting on top my head and derailing my confidence. When I crunched the numbers , I spent £1040 in total for sessions and using tutors car for the test.
Congratulations, how long did it take you to learn till you pass? If you came from Nigeria with international permit, can you immediately start the driving lessons and book the test or on must wait for a while?

Aside some exempt groups (e.g children, adults on benefits, older folks...) everyone else pays a given sum for their NHS prescription irrespective of the cost of the medication. This was introduced years back to help with funding. If on regular medications, you could look at getting a prepayment certificate which is a periodic sum and could work out cheaper if you certain number of meds frequently. Alternatively, you could ask your practice to make your script run for 2 months

Regarding requesting for investigations, it shouldn't be offered to you based solely on the grounds that you requested. If you have an issue then you could book an appointment with your GP who'd discuss this with you and what means to proceed with investigations (if required). If you're keen on a CT or MRI, its worth mentioning it there and your doctor would be able to say why or why not.

If you feel acutely unwell outside hours (and you think its serious enough it can't wait for your GP), then its 111 or A&E where virtually same process applies but in a tailored version.
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate

This man's case was complicated by fraudulent evidence being out forward by his former solicitor. He should eventually be granted but this highlights the need to review any application submitted on your behalf.

For the first part it's worth revisiting the string of conversations with Lexus this time keeping emotions by the door and telling me what part you have an issue with.

For the second paragraph its called adhominem. But out of curiosity, please give me examples of how I 'disparage Brits and Britain all the time'
Lol, it's "emotions " when I calmly disagree that the scan request was inappropriate, but it's not emotions when you for example have an illogical reaction, crying racism, whenever someone posts an article on a crime that has been committed by a Nigerian(s), even though it's factual.

You call it adhominem, but for me it's just calling out the whiff of hypocrisy in some of your comments. As an example, remember some of our earlier "engagements" lol back in 2022 in the wake of the dependants crackdown, when you declared that Brits are not educated/ interested in university education, were mostly lazy and that the UK needed immigrants more than the immigrants needed the UK?

What? No! None of that matters. It must be racism.

That means my GP won’t charge me if I ask for an MRI or CT scan? I don’t feel well.

I’m asking because I’ve been paying for my prescription despite the IHS fees I paid before relocating to the uk.
To add to other good advice others have provided, please be clear, accurate and detailed when presenting your symptoms to the GP so they have all the relevant information to decide if you meet the threshold for a scan

And very importantly, even if they say that you don't need a scan, you know your body and if you still feel like something's not right, please get a second opinion privately if you can because this evidence (e.g scan results) can be presented back to the NHS to get treatment if needed. But sometimes you may have to self advocate for correct and timely diagnosis.

ght

Started 6 months ago, but I actually got serious some 3 months ago after I got a good instructor, was doing a 2 hour session every week, after that I practise with my car along side a friend with DL over 3 years for an hour weekly. You can start lessons anytime depending on your schedule and what works for you. Just make sure you are not using you nigerian license after one year after you got into the UK (get a provisional license at this point and you must drive supervised(with someone that has a 3 years license history)).Personally I found that booking a test and working towards that date keeps one grounded and focused towards a goal, so you could adopt that if you want. Don't forget to book & write the theory test though.

Honestly, anyone who watched what that girl said (on Oct 8th) or read what she was saying (on October 8th) and still does not understand that those views the girl was sharing was utterly extremist, glorying the killing (by Hamas) of over 1,000 people surely, such a person needs help. That person really needs to shift.

When filling the next UK visa application (or ILR) form, I dare him tick ‘Yes’ to the question asking if he has ever supported terrorist activities.

Dare yourself when next you apply for your visa. We no dey same category. One day Isreal would be exposed for terrorising the Palestinians for over 75 years. Not too long ago the ANC like hamas was called a terrorist organisation but today they are the ruling party in South Africa. The oppressors would always malign the oppressed regardless of hard facts on ground

In England, you pay ~ £9.35 per prescription.
Normally, you don’t ask for a CT scan or MRI. In normal circumstances, the professional examines you, and decide if your case requires an MRI or CT scan or not.
It just went up in May to £9.90.

I agree with the rest of your comments.

Na true. We no dey same category. Some of us were not tenacious enough to marry British citizen. Our visa or citizenship route will be quite different. So yeah, you are right.

If you justify what that girl (whose UK visa was revoked) said, then all I can do is SMH.

Hamas attacked and killed over a thousand Israelis on Oct 7. On October 8th ( even before Netanyahu & Gantz etc woke up from sleep), this girl was praising the action of the killers, rapists and murderers. Yet? You justify that girls statements? What a world.

PS: There is a reason i continuously write the date ( October 8th) that girl made those statements, praising, taking pride in, and admiring the terrorists who killed over 1,000 souls.

You wish there were more girls that will say they are full of pride at the Hamas killing of over a thousand people including hundreds of her age mates at that music festival? Na a for you oh bros…

LOL @ the bolded.
If they come after you now, you will play the R- card. And there will be folks writing here that Nigerians don’t support their fellows. Then, with your tails between your legs (like your ‘brave’ girl), you will appeal & beg and plead that you were taken out of context.
