pls, any way to stop my fruits from cracking?
some cultivar are more prone to cracking during raining season, you can plant cobra or diva, the two cultivar are less prone to cracking.

If you have this kind of grass in your farm, watch latest video I just drop on my channel to know how to deal with it. Grass that glyphosate has no effect on and contact herbicide has little effect on.

Seems diva isn't on the same page as cobra when it comes to disease resistance

it possible if you want to include irrigation set-up, if not ( rain fed) I will still advise you to hold 600k for a first timer.

you can not just conclude like that, plant both side by side under same treatment and weather.

I just did boss.
Diva isn't heat tolerant like cobra.
Diva easily succumbed to bacteria wilt unlike cobra.

My observation so far is that.....when it comes to tomato cultivars, the bigger the fruit, the lower the disease resistance.
I STAND TO BE CORRECTED SHA. AM STILL A LEARNER

Some traits have to be sacrificed for some others.

30cm between the plant and 1.2m for furrow.

Exactly 81 days today... The current weather is not favourable to my tomato plant. I BLESS God. Harvest will start by Sunday.

This year's climate is the worst I've ever experienced. I lost all my 50g Cobra 26F1 seedlings although can't tell if the seed quality is compromised this year because 2 other tomato farmer friends also experienced the same with Cobra. One lost 3 tins of 50g while the other lost 4 tins. Same Cobra that gave us good production last year.
The Diva that managed to survive aborted over 75% of its flowers. Tomato has dealt with me this year. My succor is in the 2acres of rodo I have that's currently fruiting else, I would be lost completely.

The ones in my field are not this bad though could be better. But similar to what you experienced, seeslings I transplanted late march weren't so good, the one done early April better while the last set done in late April had the best fruit set compared to the rest. Like you pointed, adverse weather had its toll on tomato plants, especially those planted early in the year.

Nursed mine early February. Learnt my lessons and currently making plans for a better production with next batch.

It's just the weather that changed the narative. The period you did the seedlings would be on point last season. The ones i transplanted in batches were result of failed nursery replanted twice. Henceforth i will prefer sowing in batches to combat the unpredictable weather.

Thank you @oluchidelly , I learnt a very important lesson this year...always take advise from actual farmers alone, people that owns a farm and plants what they talk about, there are lot of virtual farmers these days,I was convinced by someone that all hybrid seeds are ok,that was what led to me buying the royal bold f1 variety..it was a total disaster, lost 98% of the plant the bacterial wilt despite buying different fungicides although the few stands was left produced the biggest tomato fruits I've ever seen,I saw fruits weighing between 800g and 1kg they were enormously big and looking like pumpkin but very few..
It wasn't a total tho as i also planted platinum f1 too which did really well from which I recovered all the money I spent and more..

Thanks for your opinion on this issue I really appreciate..I am still gathering Intel.i am scared of having to leave my gen at the farm.

Picture 1 my first harvest
Picture 2 fruit from one of the royal bold that survived

Good day.
Thanks for your input.

So sir, dies this mean Royal bold fq is not resistant to bacteria wilt?
