Hi guys, i am about to get my first car.

Something small that can move me around lagos, with a budget of 2m to 2.5m max.

From my research it seems d best options for this price range are -:

Peugeot 206
Ford Focus
Kia Rio.

I particularly have a preference for hatchback cars.

Which will you advice me to go for? Thanks.

Honda Civic.

The civic is exempted from such issues

Buy a non converted Peugeot 206 and enjoy peace of mind. The Kia Rio is also a good choice but being a Peugeot fan and having driven the 206, 100% Recommended.

I've had 2 Peugeot, presently driving a 307, I've never experienced any electrical issues beyond the common ones experienced by every car user ( tapping glass failure due to water entering during wash, blown fuse, dead light bulbs). I've also not heard from any Peugeot user I meet at the mechanic complaining of any strange electrical issues you hear from non Peugeot users.
When you take care of a car, it serves you well.

All good. The 2005 is a sweet point. But if I may ask what do you intend to use the car for?

Go for a non abused Peugeot 206 and have a peace of mind….i drive one and the reliability is top notch…never had any problems with it and it’s very rugged small vehicle

Civic is it. There's a reason it's one of the most stolen vehicle in the US. There's also a reason why the 206 never entered the US market.

Let me tell you the secret to longevity of that vehicle.

When you buy a tokunbo Peugeot, find a Peugeot expert not mechanic, I repeat not a roadside mechanic. There are companies that fix Peugeots only. change all the rollers that control the timing belt including the timing belt with the best original products in the market. It will serve you for 5years before it's due and the car will never give you any major issue. If you just keep driving it that way once it slips your top is gone with many damges.

From the 3 you posted.

Do you drive stick? If yes get the Peugeot.

But if you can’t? Get the kia auto.

Why don't u try driving all three & see which one u like the most...Then do ur research on the said vehicle u ended up choosing & see wether it aligns with ur life style. 😤

I can recommend in the order below:
1 Peugeot 206
2 Honda civic
3 Kia Rio hatchback.

Buy Kia Rio. Easy to maintain.

But Op why don't you go for corrola. This cars are too ugly. I'm been sincere. I just dislike those cars
