Well yes, Kano folks being a relatively conservative people in terms of culture and faith do not want an Amir who is too forward and that is what SLS is known for. The key points about underaged brides, almajiris, lavish lifestyles and driving Rolls Royces, etc, you gave here in your post are very succinct.

I remember a few years ago that Ganduje once said most of the almajiris in Kano and elsewhere in the far-Northern states are from Niger Republic though.
