The don....... didn't think of the bolded when he announced the giveaway right 😂

It was just an example of "everyone is protecting their interests"

Some want Obi because they hate Tinubu
Few want Obi because they feel he's better
Some want Obi because he's igbo
While some are supporting Obi because they feel he will return to PDP and they can get their appointment back.

If I become a governor today and I appoint some people to head ministries here, they will gladly jump at it claiming they want to effect changes in government.

See Bosun Tijani who was from the EndSars generation and one of the biggest critics of the government. He's a minister today and he even distributed rice that has the president's names and pictures on them to celebrate the same man he's been criticizing for years.

Same way the other guy that used to insult me here became my ally for only few minutes because of giveaway.

Everyone is protecting their interests. Likewise myself, I'm protecting my 30k stipends.

Cheers 🥂

I don't care about the 20 cars you bought as owner partner, even if you bought them brand new tear rubber, as long as there is no driver, you can't do nothing in ehailng. Can you? What about this angle?

Dangote is the richest man in Africa. He survives on bank loans. Are banks too at the lower end going by your postulation? Should banks raise interest rate to 50% so that they won't be left with crumbs and probably be richer than Dangote?

Baba business doesn't work that way. Set your charges with terms and conditions and comot eye from what drivers make.
this your response is so insensitive owing to the fact that with all the available evidence around us it is the investor that has been on the receiving end of the lackadaisical and inhumane attitude from drivers

Pls, to everyone who know a thing or two about Corrola engines.
It's weak already, (showing every signs)
So, suggestions were made to buy half engine instead of repairing(ringing and doing engine overhauling) it. Abeg how advisable is it.
Cos there is no where to get 1milli for toks engine at all.
It's 03 Corrola.

Are banks also at the lower end? Yes or No.

Back to ehailng, The mere fact that cars are scarce doesn't equate flexing of muscle from owner partners. For goodness sake, both of you are business partners and not employee/employer situation, so respect agreement. If there is need for upward review, then adequately communicate and sign the new deal. Putting eye in your driver partners' earnings is a NO for me.

Owner partners can liquidate asset and move to something else. So drivers too can't diversify and shift from ehailng? Is their destiny tied to driving? I think drivers need to wake up and smell the coffee.

The bolded is easier said than done. Right now , 2024. To meet market realities. Weekly rentals should be around 50-60k.
How many drivers can gladly sign this ? Most of them want something way lower. So the investor still bears the brunt.
I can't be monitoring vehicles around cos of 30-35k/ week, that stress is too much for the money .

If you are an investor and decide to venture into korope or LT transport business because you are looking at it from an outsider view.

The driver's operating korope or LT are they better than ehailing drivers.
They don't scratch the vehicles or default on payment?

Driver's are always available, that's a fact.
Post a vacant position in any field aside driving and see if you won't get hundreds of applications.

The Nigerian population has the manpower for any business an investor decides to venture into.

My point is every business has it own challenges. Just choose the one you can cope with, be it korope, LT, ehailing. Choose one and face the challenges.

No business without challenges. That's a known fact

Very true, you are right on the aspects of challenges....But an investment of 3.5 million that will yield returns of unstable 30k weekly .. is not something I will subscribe to.

As I said earlier.
I don't think ehailing is the only business that that yield returns to an investor. There are several businesses such as:
Fish Farming
Piggery
Crop Farming
Poultry
Animal husbandry
Korope
LT Buses
Sienna for inter state
and several other businesses that people are already doing and they are been successful in it.
Though some people go into any of this businesses and still fail.
If an investor is tired of ehailing, he can deinvest and venture into any other business of choice.
Those who still think ehailing is profitable and they can cope with the challenges should be encouraged to do the business.
What I know is that all the above businesses I listed have one challenge or the other.
Some people have managed those businesses for years and still in business while some have failed and closed down.

That's business for you. Though no one is praying to fail. But the reality is that people do fail in some businesses.

Just as many investors has proposed.
Rental may no longer be visible due to the economic situation of the country.
But HP (Higher Purchase) is still a better option.
Though ehailing is not the only business to invest in.

Your engine don dey near him grave

River no they fear. My car was working well, but I notice low fuel light that will take me from Lekki to Berger will barely move the car from coke to Berger. Once the fuel low, the work will scatter. In quest to solve that, I took the car to mech place, that’s how they use injector cleaner to clean throttle body(I don’t like that thing, as I always prefer cloth). Immediately the rpm shot and since then the work no balance again.

Meanwhile, it was the valve at the fuel assembly that is not tightly socket. This solved now, while I inherited another while trying to sort this.

Always use brake oil to clean injector head/throttle body.
Soak the injector mouths in tinner if u want to clean it. Don't use injector cleaner again, the regular ones in the market are fake and will clog the system instead of clean them

Na only here I dey see "Investors" abi imaginary investors cry.

Don't invest please. Drive am by yourself.
Go into farming
Block moulding
Car wash business

Many Investors believe once you buy the car... Your weekly money is sure from top to bottom. Most don't do feasibility study only bank on them say and hearsay. Investors everywhere incur losses at some point especially in a business that you don't have control over.

If this is what it takes to stay afloat in the business, abeg raise am! raise am!! No gree for anybody. There's no sentiment in business. My point is once you set the 50/60k with your terms and conditions, then comot eye from the driver's earnings.

Owner partners, I think you guys should also look beyond Corolla. It is not a must. Loyalty to a particular brand is not realistic in this present economy. A driver that insist on Corolla should be ready for higher weekly delivery.

Hmmm...u r in d best position to do well after having such a deep experience, but u japa when the going was about to get better grin I see ur major problem was hiring bad drivers, and not having someone other than u to manage them. why didn't u continue with d 4 good ones that gave u peace of mind and buildup from there, only hiring with the qualities of these 4 guys? It is well sha...

Let me add a few more points that has helped me over the years.

1. Your driver must have the fear of God. You will know this during ur interaction with the driver except u are also a free soul.

2. Guarantor must be a working class or someone with a very good business.

3. Driver does repairs of upto 10k.

4. Do whatsapp video calls regularly, gone are the days u cant see something if u aren't there.

5. Have ur spare part dealer on speed dial. Nobody else should change part in ur vehicle except at their own cost.

6. Mechanic only collects workmanship and should be available to go to Ajah from Ojodu if the car needs his attention. When driver knows ur mechanic can come anywhere he will not do all those stunts.

7. As much as possible let ur competent mechanic do all the repairs in d car. Not different people touching ur car. So u can track repairs.

8. Any thing that's the fault of the driver he takes responsibility. U beat traffic light, u pass one way, u park where there is no parking, u scratch the car... all that is not my business.

9. With your tracker u can regulate the car not to be overworked.

10. Don't give your car to a driver who doesn't have a place of his own or who sleeps outside and only goes home occasionally.

11. Don't leave ur investment in the hands of an illiterate. He must be enlightened, knowledgeable about driving laws, car maintenance and most likely a graduate or someone with driving experience in the State u reside.

12. Don't waste time to retrieve your car, I have collected my car less than a week after handing it over because I sensed the partnership will be a bad one.

13. When I say contract is cancelled after one week of default without reasonable excuse, I mean it. I will not wait for two weeks talkless of three weeks shocked when u no jazz me.

14. If u have a large fleet of upto 10 cars then its time u hired an assistant or a manager if u aren't in the business at all.

15. After all these, because it is God that blesses the works of our hands, partner with Him and He will teach you to profit. He will preserve your investment in the morning when they go out and in the evening when they come in. He will keep them from trouble and evil. The eyes of enforcement officers, ritualist, kidnappers, armed robbers will not see them. They will always be directed to avoid trouble. Pray regularly and commit your cars into His hands. The watch man watches in vein if the Lord does not watch over the city.
