the way I love this car eeh, but not common in the market

Something small that can move me around lagos, with a budget of 2m to 2.5m max.

From my research it seems d best options for this price range are -:

Peugeot 206
Ford Focus
Kia Rio.

I particularly have a preference for hatchback cars.

Which will you advice me to go for? Thanks.

How much is the replacement engine?

Any overheating... sope otilo... oga Honda civic is it!

If it is not an SUV i am not buying it. SUVs are the best for Naijarians rubbish roads.

After driving a Murano SUV, SUV Benz 320, LeXus RX 300 and Honda Element, i will never drive any vehicle that isn't an SUV or "Jeep" as you Naijarians call them

I've had 2 Peugeot, presently driving a 307, I've never experienced any electrical issues beyond the common ones experienced by every car user ( tapping glass failure due to water entering during wash, blown fuse, dead light bulbs). I've also not heard from any Peugeot user I meet at the mechanic complaining of any strange electrical issues you hear from non Peugeot users.
When you take care of a car, it serves you well.

The 406 has electrical issues.
But that it usually starts from 13k mileage up.

Its adviced that you replace your 406 engine as soon as it hits that mileage

A colleague is paralysed at the moment because his car 206, couldn't take the impact of a lone accident.

I dont know how much it cost to replace d engine because those one i drove then(about 3, 2 auto 1 manual) were all brand new. Their engine were intact before i left d companies. But u can find out from KIA's place at Utako(close to MFM church if u re in ABJ).

Your first car for private use or business purposes?
If for business purposes it's a nice idea 👍
If for private use young man think again cuz none of those cars you mentioned above is worth wasting your 2m for.

2005 model civic is best recommended..

I don use Kia Rio and civic before, pls go for Kia Rio, it’s fuel consumption is extremely low and it rarely gets faulty but civic pls the leg issue is the problem, Honda’s ball joints are not strong enough. It’s all Honda, you have to change them to tokunbo ball joint and it’s very expensive.

I drove a brand new 206 for more than a decade, what a rugged car. I'd recommend it strongly.

One thing to note is that the boot cannot be opened with a key. If something goes wrong with the central lock, you can't open the boot anymore.

Your benz is most probably the old ML and seeing its 320 na still small engine.

auto tranny issues are only more prevalent in 406 and 407 with EW7, EW 10 and EW 12 engines.

Okay, i ve heard, now i am even driving a very very old and cheap Land Rover and i am happy with it it is my choice, now, anything else reasonable you wanna add?

I am guessing you don't know that some of us preffer old cheap classic cars, why would i wanna spend millions on a liability like a car? i have bills to pay and investments to make with money.

I left Abj about 2 years nw bt will keep u posted. Yeah, he can alternatively go to Apo mechanic village because d parts are very much available unlike 11/10 years back.
