For avoidance of doubt, if you eat somebody's money that you cannot prove there was some sort of contractual relationship with, you have "stolen" and can be prosecuted by any law enforcement agency. Some of us who have lived life have seen this happen various times.

The cheapest way to sort this out is to do what the person I quoted said....also if you have friends that work in a bank, get the account holders number and warn him about what you are about to do...if he likes let him be having sleepless nights because of 20k, person no even fit thief better money

Your OPay bank must be quite useless. These things happen and your bank should be able to sort these issues. Anyway, look for any UBA customer care lines and call them. Narrate your ordeal, they might help.

Call will not get your money back,
Except storm the back and create a scene or you are a public figure or have Nigerians call-out the bank on social media else they won't refund.

Please how do I go about this too; I was to send light bill to a Palmpay account but mistakenly send it to OPay account, mind you the wrong account brought out same name with the Palmpay account obviously it’s the same account number, but now the person I am paying to said she doesn’t have an OPay account. How do I get my money back from the OPay account that doesn’t exist.

I've experienced this before and got my money back.

I went to the receiving bank and got my money back. They blocked the receiving account and asked me to bring a court order which I did, although the account was already dormant.

The money was reversed to my account in two weeks after the wrong transfer.

I did same thing last year. Till now I never see the money

How do you mistakenly send money into somebody's account or was it just a business deal gone wrong.
If you're sending through bank app or pos, the person's name is shown.
If you're sending through a bank transfer, the teller confirms the account name.

Tthats why I always counter those saying school na scam. An educated man who knows how things should be won't make this kind of silly mistake. The recipient's name is there for one to verify.

Funny enough i had thesame issue around 2 days ago, thesame amount but was Opay to Opay transfer.

They rejected my request thesame way they did to you. With the help of one of my body we were able to trick the person, got the address of the store that operated the account and at the end of the day the money was recovered directly from the person (19,500)

The process was longer than we expected because i couldn’t find the transaction history i had with the account and it was saved as an account i had transferred to in the past.

If I don't pick money on the road( as picking money on the road is against my believe), I wonder how i will be happy to spend a money mistakenly sent to me.

Just go and contact the bank you sent the money to, they will do something about it

Tell the lady to open opay account with same number. The money is there.

Identify the bank and head to high court and get a court order take it to the beneficiary bank they will fish the customer by fire by force,
