Hi Mercy. Have Mutual Benefit, Veritas Kapital and Recency Alliance released audited results? Any dividend?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by 4willer:
The market is just ripe to aim at some recovering stocks rising from support and being oversold.
Dive-in week for the observant.
Opportunities showing up for good performing stocks.

Personally not expecting dividend from this 3, but who knows, there may be surprise. Think they may just be getting positive momentum due to improved results.

* Veritas is out
* MB and Regency still expected

SetrakusRa:
https://techcabal.com/2024/06/13/blackrocks-400-million-ishares-etf-to-exit-nigeria-kenya/
This headline can be deceptive.
The media tends to exaggerate stuffs. (and at other times, understate them)

The not-so-informed folks may think that BlackRock's Nigeria exposure comprise of several asset names in the NGX, but that's clearly not the case.
The group's equity portfolio in Nigeria is basically Dangote Cement. ...that's about the only stock they hold.

The group has had to embark on some strategic restructuring of their AuM chief of which is the liquidation (part or full) of assets in several countries particularly in Africa. ...I recall they already took the same route in Morocco, Kenya and I think, Egypt so no surprises.

For Nigeria, saying that this news could impact the near term price of DC should already be taken for granted, unless of course Alhaji A.D or some other core investor decides to take up their stake.... in which case the stock may simply exchange hands without much price impact.
@ DCs CMP, BlackRock's exposure already prints an appreciable CGY.

Here's the thing though;
Their holding is an equivalent of approx $5.3M, which is not so much of a significant stake if you ask me, so long-term holders of the coy don't really have much to fret about.

Technically though, DC had gifted one an exit clue before now. (in Feb/March). ...this news could further fuel negative short term pressure on the price of the stock.

What to do? Pls follow your instinct.

CAVEAT: NOT an investment advice. The need for due diligence should take higher preference ahead of the post.

Regards

A smart investor will look out for sectors, and by extension, coys that are well positioned to benefit from these funds.
$2.25B is truly a lot of money, although we already know that a sizable proportion of it may not get to the real sector, no thanks to our leaders and policy makers. wink cool

...a few already on my mind.
It's a TD approach to investing.

On point. I wouldn't mind if their liquidation crashes the price of Dangote Cem, so I can buy in. grin

Like CHAMS, I recall stating in clear terms why this insurance coy and by extension, a few others will go places, even when it was practically stationary @ 20k. (same way with Regal In, STI, Mbenefits, Cornerstone, CHI, Lasaco, Linkage etc)

Here this;
When it's time of reckoning, VeritasKap will push up the "Chams way'.
Perhaps, some persons are yet to see their recent spate of financial prints. (notice the outstanding astronomical improvement in EM, LR, CR and I/SGR)

Those who subscribed to my outline/recommendations and investment guide--Series 1, will also recall how they were guided to align with VeritasKap @ 30--31k
They were also informed about the golden insurance 6 (6 insurance asset names) to align with for maximum CGY.

Given the present macroeconomic trend (ref: high rate environment) and it's drop down positive impact on stocks in the financial services sector, some insurance and investment coys are clearly well positioned to deliver higher nets.

Investment gains is expected to drive higher NPM. (also a pivotal reason for the improved margins/earnings across healthy coys in the insurance sector)
Many are also doing appreciably well in their core business of insurance.

I did highlight time and again, that that sector is worth a 20--25% exposure for any growth and/or value investor.

From a fundamental point of view, certain key insurance names are still a strong BUY @ their CMPs (ref: >>an outperform rating for...)

We will see how Mr Time takes charge of matters. Everyone knows "I love that man". wink cheesy cool

Again, pls do not interpret this as any sought of investment advice.
Due diligence is still adviced as always.

Would be nice if you can give us a time frame of these happenings going forward. Getting tired of the epistle. This is reason why @Streetinvestor2 was tagging you regarding IntBrew.

Good morning Mr onegentleguy; What is your view on BUYING VFD Plc shares, been an investment company. Please reply me.
To be honest, VFD is currently not on my radar.
But here's what I'd do if I wish to align.
Taking position @ the low of CMP of N202.9, preferably a 9--10% discount (ref: 182.7--183) won't be a bad idea.

The coy will likely be listed @ N40+ post the proposed script issue of 4 for 1, and I think today should be the QD.

CAVEAT: Still not an investment advice. Due diligence still applies as always.

N40+ ...to be precise N40.50 based off the CMP of N202.9 in view of the coys large cap status. The script estimate equates to N40.58 though. [ref: 202.9/(4+1)]
Management may also decide to round off that figure and list @ N40.60

I already said long before now that most shareholders will renounce their rights, and it's not like it would be much of a big deal. We don't necessary need to take up our rights.
The entire RI exercise was even crafted to create weak apathy or sentiment towards the stock so no surprises for us. wink cheesy cool

Post RI, I expect a reduction in the proportional % holding of minority interest and an increase in... your guess is already as good as mine.
This will further make the coy illiquid and... again, you can take a wild guess if you want.

But why not sell off your stake and have peace.
I suspect that INTBREW may not be offering the calm you truly desire, so I'll advise you exit now.

It might give me and many others that peace, but maybe the coy is not for you.
One should not be in all stock you know.
...Pls just exit!

"In the stock market world, a cheap/undervalued asset isn't just one whose price is low in terms of VALUE or high in REWARD... but also one whose price is lower in terms of RISK and even higher in peace of mind.
...a wining investor must know how and when to relate in between!"

~Sinclair

Key term: Peace of mind. ...very important!
We all need it. Especially for our mental health.
