Lagos State Is Yorubaland, Enough by helinues(op): 5:34am On Jul 12, 2024
Those who have been calling Lagos no man's land are now over doing it which is becoming so rude and senseless to the Yoruba's.

Don't let us take things personal the way you people have been taken it cos you won't like it.

Attacking a whole tribe because of politics should stop hence forth. Make una face the politicians and their political party without lumping the people from the region into it.

Enough is enough

You're mentally unstable.

Who is still talking about Lagos State this period?

It seems the only solution to the current economic woes of the country is throwing up irrelevant and useless conversations.

Lagos is Nigeria's commercial capital and Nigerians will continue to live, thrive and do business there till Nigeria split!

There is absolutely nothing like SW in the constitution. No law is applicable to someone from Ekiti,
that is not applicable to someone from Delta living in Lagos!

Again, where is your father's house in Lagos?

Stop asking me dumbo question. Who are you to tell the SW people how to run their affairs or what they called themselves?

If you're not ready to abide by the 1999 constitution, convoke a sovereign national conference,
nor be by cho cho cho

Onitsha that is no man’s land that belongs to the Binis

No matter how much they claim that it is no man’s land, it will always belong to the Yoruba

Very soon they will say Abuja is no man’s land too

We speak Yoruba in our state house of assembly

Announcements on how our trains are done in Yoruba

Yorubas rule the state

Yoruba Language is compulsory in our public schools

He didn't say you can't live or do your thing there. What he is saying is you still have to understand that Lagos is traditional home of some people just like Ogun, Oyo, Anambra, Kano etc. Even though it's free for all, you are still strangers no matter your achievements. Whatever is yours is yours though as long as you follow the right process.

That guy is not stable. What concern Lagos this morning? Everyone knows Lagos state is Yoruba land.
Funny enough, he might be from one interior village in Kwara state and be forming funky.
They should develop other south western states like Lagos, let everyone rest.

If you're not ready to follow the 1999 constitution, lets do another one cos the constitution guarantees the right to vote and be voted for anywhere in Nigeria

Will you call Kaduna state a no mans land because there’s nothing the federal government built in Lagos that they didn’t build in Kaduna state including port?
I said Kaduna state because I know the state very well

Lagos had never been "Yorubaland". Yoruba is nothing but an other name for oyo kingdom.
Stoplying:
Eyewitness writen precolonial text stating clearly that Lagos belongs to Benin:

"Captain Horseley called it Eco, and that is how the yebous refer to it; but it is not their land: it belongs to Benin, whom have named it Korame, you can recognise the Curamo from older Portuguese reports, just like Eko represents the Ichoo from Holland Hydrographs. Long ago Korame was linked to its metropolis by a very narrow piece of land contained between the great Laguna and the sea; but it has been a while since the Yebous have seazed that very narrow piece of land of which the eastern extremity was invaded by ouyo pirates; and Karamé remained isolated at the extremity of the great Laguna, while it continues to receive from Benin it's governor or political chief."

https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/bpt6k5806879x.r=Y%C3%A9bou?rk=21459;2

Precolonial map of the region showing that Lagos (in its currents form) and its environs were part of Benin (see below)
https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b8595583b.r=Benin?rk=150215;2

Conclusion: Lagos and its environs were part of Benin.

I am not interested in debating things which have already been proven. Also I am not interested in talking to people whom have been harrassing me. (I also want to add that I am actually the only person whom has commented here who actually speaks french and that I am the person who posted the french caption and the book from which it is to nairaland. Some delusional people who don't speak a word of frecnh were trying to "debate" me on the translation of the text several months ago. Fools can only fool other fools.)
