My Wife Won't Share Her Wealth: Am I Not Entitled To Her Properties? by DyshApp(op):
so I saw the story today and I can't stop laughing about it. So it goes👇

I'm 53 years and my wife is 49 the issue that brought me here is my wife's properties I married this woman three years ago she lost a husband when she was 42 and I met her with three kids the late husband left her five houses and three big farms which are doing well for a year now I have been asking my wife to at least change two houses and put my name on them so that in case I die my kids and my family can inherit she has refused

I need advice I'm frustrated ?

this man is frustrated because his wife of three years will not change two of her properties and put his name on it like like why don't you build your own build your you want your kids and your family to inherit someone's hard work is he entitled to this because they are married and people are saying if it was the other way around,if it was a woman asking for it and people would have supported it.

ARRANT DELUDED NONSENSE!!!!
the house belongs to her and her children only... thats her last husband and her children's legacy. how dare this man thinks he, his children and family should have a share in that?

if they have children together then their children should be in the will to inherit that property who solely belongs to that woman, and that she owned outright before meeting that yeye man. hopefully she had a tight prenup and/or married under a separation of assets regime.

The properties belong equally to the man and his wife irrespective of the source of the properties. The man should fight for his rights, that is what the woman would do if situations were reversed. I hate cheating in my life.

Gold digger. The late man's family shouldn't just sit and watch another man taking over their son's properties.

so you mean to say that... if you get married, build yourself a legacy of 5 houses and a few farms that you intend to leave for your children, but suddenly die... if your widow remarries, she should automatically put 2 of your houses under her new husband and his family's name?!?!?!?

1st of all... where in marriage is it written that you should put any of your property under your spouse's name (as soon as you marry them)?
2nd ... so you mean, when Dangote got remarried, automatically part of his business empire became the property of his new wife?
3rd... so you mean that the minute a woman marries Dangote in Nigeria ALL HIS PROPERTIES BECOMES HERS "irrespective of the source of the property"? really?

a simple solution to the above NONSENSE is to put all your property in a trust for your children... and nobody else (and nobody would be able to claim any of it)!

Although I won’t behave like the man as I don’t covet anything owned by women, wife or no, I still maintain my stand that her husband (albeit new) is her head, and anything he dictates regarding her goes. Simple. If you can’t submit, stay single. Stop trying to fight the natural order and expect the order to stay natural.

Self entitlement mentality.

Are you disabled to have acquired your own wealth?

People are just being sentimental here. The property belongs to the man and his wife.

Marriage is not courtship, sex and making babies. Marriage is unity of two individuals as one. If everything that belongs to the man the new wife his full right to this assets so also the man has right over the asset of his wife.

If it is the man that have five houses and the wife and her children from another marriage is she not entitle to a share from his property in the event of his death.

Please stop this gender bias rubbish. Marriage is two people becoming one entity that includes their possession if she cannot take that she should have stay single wetin be gold digger here. Na man property sweet to share abi

Now it's ok to draw the late man's family to help u fight and after which u send them away that they properties belongs to ur husband.

Women !!

If the man did not want a share will u also remember to share with ur dead husband relatives?!

From experience

No

Lol......its fvnny how marrying you makes them automatic owners of what u have....but when e reach their turn, tables turn.....wahala go start.

Women see how irritating being entitled is... But they don't see it when they are the ones being an entitled parasite...

You should be ashamed of yourself, you married a dead man's wife and you are also proud to drag his property. That property is meant for his kids.

true but there is a huge difference between SUBMITTING IN MARRIAGE, and daylight robbery! the minute you expect your wife to submit her bank account, her possessions then you sir are simply a thief disguised as a husband.

funny part is where he wants HER possession so that HIS OWN CHILDREN AND FAMILY can benefit from it.

No, you’re not correct on this! The marriage vow stated it explicitly.

thats because you believe that A) everyone gets married under the same marital regime and/or B) that some women are foolish enough to defraud their own children of their inheritance to benefit some new husband, C) a good will or a good trust will make sure than no man can come and rob a person0s inheritance under the guise of marriage

i dont know about you, but NO MAN should marry a wife evil enough to do what you insinuate.

I’m talking about marriage here, please. Don’t project your sentiments into what is explicitly the basis of all marriages, except, of course, prenuptial agreements are signed!

if you answer to the above question is YES then so be it. case closed!

Lets reverse it to if it was the woman what will you say?

exactly the same thing.... if i woman marries a man who inherited a few houses and some farms from his ex wife (aka a legacy for THEIR CHILDREN), no woman who marry such man should have any legitimate claim on these properties.
all these properties aint his, thats his children's legacy/inheritance, and these children aint married to his new wife, thus why the new spouse would have absolutely no claim on these properties.

so your concern is inherite

of course! this dead man's properties are his children's inheritance... inheritance is crucial here, especially when compared to marital asset that "may/could" possibly be split during divorce.

the fact that some husband would ask (on day one of marriage) to acquire a share of his wife's assets (even though he might possess more assets than his wife the day they divorce), is absurd. if a man has a legitimate claim on his wife's assets then he can only claim it, the very day they separate/divorce, and suddenly not on day one

Wow! You men are really amazing! All of you that have commented here, saying the new gold digging fellow is entitled to even a pin from her late husbands estate, may it be unto you just as you have written. That woman owes that man nothing more than love and respect as prescribed by the bible. Anyone that says otherwise should have himself checked. Besides the property doesn't belong to the woman. She is only holding them in trust for her husband.
