More excuses. Perhaps they're the only two that took extra shifts that year ? Do you know the size of the department? Context matters. Show the amount of bus operators that made over 6 figures. But it doesn't matter with you. Everything is about excuses with you. Typical loser. From you can't make that much as a cleaner, to the percentage of people the government hires, to only a few made over 6 figures. What will be your next excuse ? Again have you applied for the transit position yet, or you're here just making new excuses ?

Just sit down and allow people who want and know how to hustle here, hustle. Continue your excuses, and continue apply to be the Prime Minister as a new immigration. Doing the same thing over and over again, while expecting a different result is an example of a crazy person. You are definitely crazy !

A cleaner in Canada can make about 60k Canadian dollar per year. That's about 36 million naira per year. Not to mention this particular cleaning job comes with benefits and a government pension plan for your old age. I know of cleaners personally who made over 100k dollars with overtime

hello sir , l have 2 friend living in that Canada and one working in the bank over 5 years now ....and he said his not making 60,000 after tax yearly but you said a cleaner can make 100,000k and Nigerians making less are probably lazy or selective with job then why only 20% Canadian population have salary more than 100k (According to report, 21.2 percent of the Canadian population had an annual income of 100,000 Canadian dollars or more. This means that the remaining 78.8 percent of Canadians earn less than 100k per year) his Canada that dirty that cleaner get paid so much and banker, engineer less. and also my second guy is an asylum seeker and now with work permit and since December he said he could not get a stable job ....can he contact you and you help him get a cleaner got that can pay 100k too ..sir ,what his your job and do you earn more than 100k too after tax pls drop your number so people in need of job in Toronto can contact you pls.

The same hardwork you people are running for to your various Japa destinations is what you will still meet there if you want to survive.
Instead, stay back, work hard and leave good life. Parking toilet wastes, or drainage or garbage around parks and taxi, security guards or lorry driver are the only sure work in many japa destinations
Prickie, you see ......a few months after , they are still getting by with the menial jobs and still able to afford basic necessities and better things of life. You on the other hand are now so broke you are MD of a now moribond business killed by reckless government policies. You cant afford data to come on nairaland since they stopped paying your attack dog stipends. You , dunce were one of the people deceived into thinking subsidy removal was to favour the generality of Nigerians ( matter of another day) I hope the sapa that has consumed you will give you renewed brains.

What you do not understand is the fact that there is dignity in labour . Especially when you work hard with honesty. Not collecting stipends from an evil party to come online and act like a rabid dog!

If you have a good certification, still in your thirties or below 40, or even early forties, you are able to save up to N10m and have a child or two children and not a political actor or a clergy of a big church, may I ask, "What are you still waiting for"?

You see, 7 months ago, your N10m was about $22K. Now, it is only about $8590. However bad, it could still take you to UK, atleast. Then you can begin sorting your life. Even if you have a business, it will be eroded soon.
What the likes of GSK, P&G, Unilever, Suntory, etc are saw or are seeing and moving should give you signal that this train is headed to a total anarchy.

Even if you do not love yourself, for the sake of your family, move. There is no hope in the foreseeable horizon. I am not a doomsday prophet, but if you understand the times, you know that things are going to get worse.

10 years ago, I called a friend and advised him to come over to Canada. He said he is not going to another man's country to "slave". He would rather come and visit and enjoy holidays. Funny enough his subordinate took the initiative. His (surbordinate) wife got a scholarship and in two years he relocated and he and his family now lives big in Ontario.

Fastforward to 2023, my friend is now in his early-50s, he has lost his job, his tottering business is now almost moribund. No thanks to Tinubu's economic janglova. Now, he is asking me to help him and his family relocate. 4 adults (Him, his wife and 2 children). How?

My reply may be brutal abd unfair, "Bro, you are 10 years late". He is now franticky looking towards the UK, looking for buyers of his inheritance, but the Tories are locking the gate on Dec 31, 2023. Not sure if he can still make it across.

My advice, if you can leave this sinking ship, please do ASAP. Today, it is armed robbery and kidnapping. In few years, a reminisce of the 1000000 boys will resurface.

Someone is going to come here to preach that it is not rosy out there. Yes, at first it will be rough. With time you will get along, learn the system, culture, then boom, you will just know you made a bold move. Nigeria is not getting better soon. Atleast, not with the huge debts and dwindling revenues that is over 50% channelled to debt servicing. Not with over 45% budget deficits to be financed on loans. Not with low purchasing power of the populace. Not with this "owambe" government. Not when our oil production is already swapped for loans for next 5 years and steeply declining productivity.

No, not with a Tinubu that does not understand productivity.
I left Nigeria last year at 48. It was the best decision ever.
