Some ladies may say they want committed relationship. It is good to be committed in a good relationship, but as a guy be careful in being committed to a relationship for these reasons.

(1) You Might Be Used as Comfort Zone: Some ladies may want serious relationship with you just to probably get stability using you, while they flirt with an unserious EX, friend etc. that is not willing to be committed to them.

(2) You Might Be Wasting Time: You have to be double sure that you are with the right lady before you start commitment. It is a waste of time investing your time, love, opportunities, finances etc. on a relationship that is in deceit or that is wrong. You may end up counting lost years.

(3) You May Be Loving The Wrong Person: Building and being committed to a relationship where the lady is in love with another person but holding unto you because of bad circumstances she is going through. Imagine a lady using you to build her life and career, while waiting for the guy she loves to be stable in finances and career, so that she can dump you to follow her "heart".
