in the case of illegal bunkering,the military is heavily into it and they don't work on their own,the same thing with the hausa/fulani. We are not even 10% anymore because of tompolo's job to eradicate bunkering.his kinsmen can't do anything......
For clarification, bunkering is not a crime or a bad thing. However, illegal bunkering is a crime and a bane of the oil and gas industry.

In Nigeria context, bunkering means stealing of crude oil. It is illegal; don't sugarcoat it.

@ Aj8 Please can you suggest some of these biotech companies? I trade the US biotech stocks too. Please iin other not to derail the thread, please send to Solaralph2002@gmail.com, thank you

Markets like say the US? …I have only tried it on the Nigerian Stock Market. Has worked for me for over 20 years. DO NOT APPLY TO ANY OTHER MARKET OTHER THAN THE NGX. I do trade on NASDAQ but limited to Biotechnology where I can apply my medical knowledge. For this, I simply put up notifications on Yahoo Finance to jump in at support for selected companies with huge prospects and FDA catalysts like PDUFA news, etc. The chances of being profitable increase by buying at the right price. And again, no profit is profit until taken and banked.
Noted. Don't.just buy at any price. Buy at support. After AI, the next big thing is obesity/diabetes/Ozempic and anything G1P. Use the Nasdaq screener. Search Strong buy..Biotechnology. Don't do biotech except you understand the field. Biotech is not an area you buy and go to sleep. If you are in the medical that would be a huge plus. Derailed only this once.

Well, that's in street language tongue. However, technically and formally (by the law), "bunkering" is not illegal. It is more or less a supply chain process.

megawealth01:

No, it's not. Even a former president (GEJ) said it on national TV.

lol!
The word bunkering means fueling or refueling a ship. We all know how we "use" wordings in Nigeria. That is why I said in Nigeria context. Bunkering (stealing of crude oil) in Nigeria is illegal. I am sure GEJ would have mentioned fueling your ship is legal. He's from Niger Delta, he knows what bunkering means very well.

Confession time!!! grin

Kickstarting my investment journey in the NGX is one of the best decisions I made this year.

I discovered that my appetite for irrational spending has drastically reduced.

I now find myself thinking like an investor. Spending quality time to research about companies and also investing where necessary.

This is a significant achievement for me, honestly!

Thank you all for the daily reports, analysis, and contribution. I always find them helpful.

"Why would this guy reject an inducement to discredit Dangote Refinery with his pen when he has been a regular critic of Dangote, and he has even criticised the Refinery before?"

This question betrays a severe lack of depth and an inability to deal with even the slightest complexity where the real world is concerned. Some people think real life is like football where you pick a "team" to support through winning and losing.

In these minds, offering strident criticism of Dangote means that I have picked the "anti-Dangote" side, like I'm now supporting Chelsea, so I'm supposed to do nothing other than take the opposite side to Dangote on every issue because dealing with economics and geopolitics is like supporting a football team.

Very dumb!

First of all, my criticism of Dangote Refinery has always been about the timing of its delivery and the politics that made them "commission" it in May 2023, nearly 2 years before it was due to be fully operational. That was, and remains an entirely valid criticism.

Every other criticism I offered revolved around concerns of monopoly business practises and potentially turning Nigeria's energy market into a monopoly - which is also a very valid concern. Ideally, one entity should not control the energy market for 200 million people.

However where the choice presented is between a potential domestic energy monopoly and the imposition of eternal energy poverty and import dependence by foreign actors, which side do you think I'm going to pick? You think I'm going to campaign for the continued poverty of my continent for the benefit of some rich white guy, simply because I don't like Dangote?

Furthermore, you think as an educated person, I would EVER want a $20bn project - the largest single investment ever made in West Africa - to fail? What do some of you think this is? Manchester United vs Manchester City?

How did some of you even grow up and survive into adulthood without the ability to separate issues, assign priority and think in a straight line? More importantly, are you planning to breed?🤔 I hope not. We don't need more idiots on this continent. Lord knows we have too many already.

.Perfect reply to some idiot. Just like I didn't vote for this government so I will find fault in everything they do.It will never happen. I supported the decision on fuel subsidy and forex unification. That doesn't mean I won't support hunger protest when I know the government can reduce it by cutting cost of governance and genuinely fight corruption..Then they can invest the money into production and cut borrowing to waste

@Aj8 abeg, come and give your common sense analysis on Transcorp
Not looking good. A lot of red flags. But some may argue it’s a growth stock. Well, you properly know what I think. I won’t touch it till it falls below my Valuation based on the Common Sense Strategy. But then, if Geregu is comfortable at N1000.00, who knows? The stock market is a forest. In a financial hurricane, only the Irokos will stand. Is TRANSCORP one? Maybe later. But not just yet.

Summary is viz:
Q =19.97 Kobo
FY = 19.97 x 4
Valuation = 19.97 x 4 x 4 = 319.52
= N3.19

A Reserve Stock Split will increase the price, and reduce OS, but the cap will be unchanged. The company will gain in that they can offer their shares at a higher price in raising more capital in the future.
