How many of them ready to learn anything serious?

Let us face it, many kids from average to affluence homes feel a large level of entitlement particularly when you thought you were doing the right thing allowing them enjoy the money you worked hard for and give them a life you did not have.

Some even take it a step further and start turning gay because in your benevolence, you send them go abroad.
I asked my eldest son to join us here , that I would give him money to invest, to enable him get used to stock investing. I've been urging him for years but up till now, he has not responded. He is busy going around with laptop with animations game application application.
Recently, I turned to the youngest one and asked him to start the same, but he said he doesn't need money now, why should he start the enterprise. Doing animation is his own passion. He is on YouTube.
Now, I'm confused. Who would I hand over to, when I'm old?
My wife no dey play with her money and even my own money, so, stock market is not the place for her.

Aradel is the one that's increasingly promising, they're due to list on NGX next month with a share dilution of 20x, so if you enter now on NASD, could still see very good returns, the price is high sha, best offer is N5,815 right now but when it comes to NGX I think the market will try and price it near Seplat.
olig:
Please, any xA (TA, SA, PA...)/ info or recommendations on Aradel? Or any promising oil and gas stock.
Thanks

challenging when it comes to giving suggestions to family issue, please take this one sided opinion with grain of salt as the line i have towed to avoid issues in the future. Here goes my 2 cents to chip in.

From your write up the kids you mentioned seem to be doing good for themselves. Don't force them, all you can do is introduce them to the idea and be open to answer whatever questions they have.

Always believe adults based on their first response and action, this will save you stress. Considering the 2 offspring you have reached out to are not interested, if you have another, reach out to see if he/she is interested. If no one is interested, It is high time to start to look into setting up a trust (you don't have to be deca/ centi millionaire to set one up ), make up your mind what you want to leave for your wife/ husband first, then the kids , dear relatives and institution you hold dear to heart can also be your beneficiary.

Your conversation with the firm will guide how the assets will be structured revocable or irrevocable trust (if you are a resident of multiple nations, you will have to replicate same process based on each countries estate planning law ) . It depends on how the trust is structured, You can leave a percentage of the whole asset for yourself to still manage while the trustee oversee what you want to be in their care. As your wealth increase, you can always transfer to the trust as you deem fit yearly/ biennial, etc.

Suggestion is from experience : My next of kin is in my generation, the next persons (2) in line after that are fosters (not sure they will be interested.Hence, preparing handing over the baton is smooth without issues).
Hopefully everything works out for you big man/ woman.

It doesn't work that way. The market will not price it near Seplat. If it's diluted 20x like you stated, it's share price will not come anywhere to close to Seplat's. It's all about the MCAP. You can't look at SP in isolation.

That's the problem with parents. You people start late and you want your kids to suddenly take up habits that are alien to them. Start financial education as early as 7-10

Apologies, that was what i meant, I wasn't specific. In terms of Market cap I believe it will be priced near Seplat. We saw same with Transcorp and Geregu earlier in the year, Transpower listed at a discount but market has priced it with Geregu in terms of Market cap, not share price

Buy tangible asset and let them know you bought it courtesy of the stock market, if you get good dividends let them know you got it through a stock bought many years ago at a ridiculous low price

Let them know about passive income and the need to have different streams of income.

My old man became interested in the stock market, when I pledged my shares as collateral when he desperately needed a loan to complete one of his properties. Loan was approved within a week, whereas they have been trying to perfect a lien on a property he planned using as collateral for the past 12 months without any success.

Let them know the importance of having investment in the capital market and they will be interested

Some people became interested when they found out how there colleagues were paying their bill during COVID-19 even though they didn't earn income during that period, but dividends earned during that period was quite helpful
