I have been busy working and don't have time to check on Nairaland. Anyone gotten a job in Croatia recently? I just signed a contract with an agency to bring workers from Nigeria. I will have to focus on bringing my family members and friends here first, then I will start recruiting from Nairaland, maybe in the October period. I will be available for questions now.
I am an experienced welder
Any opening/opportunity for me?

How do I get this letter? Who can issue it? I have neither TOEFL nor IETLS
The school you graduated from would just note that you went to the school and all lectures in the school are done in English so you were taught in English

Bruxxels:
Process of Obtaining a Student Study and Work Visa for Croatia from Abuja, Nigeria

Step 1: Acceptance into a Croatian University
Choose a Program and Apply:

Select a Croatian university and the program you wish to study. Submit your application along with required documents, such as transcripts, proof of English proficiency (if needed), and any specific documents requested by the university.
Receive Acceptance Letter:

Once accepted, the university will send you an acceptance letter, which is necessary for your visa application.

Step 2: Prepare for Visa Application
Gather Required Documents:

Completed visa application form.
Valid passport (with at least two blank pages and valid for at least three months after your planned departure from Croatia).
Passport-sized photographs.
Acceptance letter from the Croatian university.
Proof of accommodation in Croatia (e.g., dormitory reservation or rental agreement).
Proof of financial means to support yourself during your stay (bank statements, scholarship letters, etc.).
Travel health insurance covering at least €30,000 for the entire duration of your stay in Croatia.
Proof of payment for the visa fee.
Additional Documents for Work Permit:

If you plan to work while studying, check the specific requirements for a work permit, as these may vary. Some students may be allowed to work part-time without a separate work permit, depending on their course and duration.

Step 3: Submit Visa Application
Apply at the VFS Global Visa Application Centre:

As of now, Croatian visa applications from Nigeria are processed through VFS Global in Abuja. Here is the contact information:
VFS Global Visa Application Centre - Abuja
Address: 38 Lobito Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja, Nigeria
Phone: +234 815 018 8800
Email: info.crng@vfshelpline.com
Website: VFS Global - Croatia Visa

Schedule an Appointment:

Contact the centre to schedule an appointment for your visa application submission. Confirm the requirements and any changes in the application process.
Attend the Appointment:

Submit your application and documents in person. You may also be required to provide biometric data (fingerprints and photo).

Step 4: Wait for Visa Processing
Processing Time:

The processing time for a student visa can vary but generally takes several weeks. It’s advisable to apply well in advance of your planned departure date.
Additional Information:

The embassy may request additional information or documents during the processing of your visa application.

Step 5: Arrival in Croatia
Temporary Residence Permit:

Upon arrival in Croatia, you will need to register your residence and apply for a temporary residence permit at the local police station within 30 days. This is required for stays longer than 90 days.

Work Permit:

If your visa does not include a work permit, consult the university’s international office or local authorities to understand the process of obtaining one, if applicable.
Opportunities in Croatia for Nigerians
Economic Growth and Job Market:
Croatia is witnessing steady economic growth with opportunities in various sectors such as construction, hospitality, and services. Many jobs are available in areas where local nationals might not prefer to work, such as construction, baking, cleaning, and delivery services. The minimum wage ranges from 840 to 1000 euros, with good healthcare services and a beautiful seaside, considered one of the best in Europe.

Cultural Environment:
Croatia is known for being friendly and welcoming to foreigners, with little to no reports of racism. The people are approachable, and the culture is inclusive, making it easier for Nigerians and other Africans to integrate.
