What would you rather the girl do --- if/since she doesn't like him? Accept his proposal in public and reject him in private? Or continue to play pretend? You're are responsible for your own feelings - you alone. No one owes you the protection or coddling of it except you've explicitly and exclusively vowed commitment to each other. He did not commit a crime by having feelings for her and proposing (if the video is not a skit), and neither did she for rejecting his advances. If they were already 100% percent on board with each other, with a mutual goal towards marriage, then this video wouldn't be online. There wouldn't even be a need for a 'proposal' except for the tradition of it.

And I did not outrightly call him a bad person. I just know annoyingly persistent men who ladies have said no to countless times or shown no interest in usually go out of their way to do grand, eye-service gestures. Just to 'bribe' their way into reciprocated feelings.
