To my understanding, the Oando court case coming up in October is between the 14 minority shareholders who went to court to ask for Oando to buy out their shares. The Court has varied it's easier order dated June 2022: so only those 14 minority shareholders will have their shares bought back if they still want to sell to Oando at N7.07 per share. . Other minority shareholders are not affected and their shares are intact. Some 5 minority shareholders went to court to challenge the 14 shareholders and the court gave judgement in favour of the 5 shareholders, saying that all minority shareholders cannot be forced to sell their shares. As it stands right now, Oando is not delisting. If the 14 shares sell their shares, Oando will buy them back but will still be listed because the company did not initiate the idea to delist its shares, it only had to respond to the case brought by the 14 shareholders . And that case has been technically shut down by the court. The case coming up in October is just for formality. It is already dead case.
Not true

Oando also initiated the delisting process

Oando wants to delist NSE even in South Africa

Remember Oando was stagnant for some years before it started to rise.
If you can invest and wait for some time like Oando did, then consider International Breweries. It is also experiencing some difficulty and undergoing some restructuring. The turnaround time may come sooner or later. It was selling at N45 few years ago but now selling at around N4.
Someody also mentioned Unity Bank which is selling at N1.5 and under technical suspension.
Honeywell Flour Mills is another case . Its parent company (Flour Mills) is currently restructuring the company. Once this is completed, synergy and cost efficiency will lead to better performance and higher value.
Thanks a million for this heads on. I will buy these listed shares and bear the risk.

What does "initiate" stand for or mean? The first to make a move or request. Was it Oando that made the first request to the Court or they responded to an initial request ?

Please sir, what is the COMMON SENSE ENTRY POINT for PRESTIGE ASSURANCE?

Thanks baba
For Prestige, I am waiting for 0.48 sir. The price should drop further because the company needs to meet its free float requirement.

Profit Target = 6k x4 x 4 = 96k

So if entry is about 0.48, one could see a 100% gain especially if able to pay at least 5k dividend this year.

You still have to do your due diligence though.

Guy just forget about oando matter.
OODP is the same as oando. They initiated the delisting and are behind the first 14 shareholders that went to court. They wanted to delist using the court. And when thr body language changed. That is why I started telling people to buy oando and went further to be shouting wale come and pay me #20 incase they are bent on delisting. As it Stands now it is dead idea.we must say the truth no matter what is at stake. This is how Atiku came to put the truth too on other deals they claimed it had gone through before agip own.The only thing is thr is strong political will to push oando through as has been confirmed by the junior ministry on oil. They are targeting oando to do100,000 in the near future to meet the 2million barrel by December...my contact was right then.Pls this is not a buy hold or sell recommendation...just stating the truth .
Note.I am no longer interested in oando discussions but cannot look away when lies are repeated

Looking at economic happenings of recent the stock market stand to gain from this happenings
1.The decline in the fixed income rates in the last few months from about 22% to 18% plus and likely further push to 15% in the last quarter of the year
2 The coming of dangota refinery which will likely create stability in the naira if not make it gain little in value
3.The inflation figure is likely going to head south based on food inflation as we are seriously heading to havest season in the last quarter of the yr if you have lived in the North .I expect real bull first quarter 2025

On another note.i have started working on the stock to give me 100% target on my 1million naira challenge target for the yr or even more.I have pencilled down to three stocks. @ ositadima pls join me in the challenge..lol

Thanks for the explanation.
I lost my fear of delisting after the
Bawa-nairametrics-ogg Court ruling, and jumped in at km 18.
I further topped up in the 20s, and the rest has been history.
Thanks for the insight.
In this biz, the only certainty is uncertainty.
But thus far the going has been great.
Oando has been a mighty blessing to many, through God's mercy.
I've sold some and still sit on some.
Let's see how it goes.

This is great. It will really guide me in my further decisions on the company. The most important thing is that thr is the grow naija spirit in them like alhaji if is coming from sincere management. And this grow naija spirit is why I respect alhaji so much even if others brand it as monopoly. I don't mind anyone having monopoly in different sectors of the economy for now to grow nigeria instead of dependence from outside. Let more Nigerians take up monopoly in other sectors. When we don grow finish. We go now start the fight on monopoly because we will now have what it takes to fight it .

Oando all I beg you guys to have is sincerity of purpose to grow naija.I personal don't like the level of suffering happening in the country and the level of japa happening
Pls nobody should use this post to read meaning beyond what has always been my dream for naija which is grow naija. And that is the spirit I saw in this young man relating to this interview. It is highly inspiring if you are like me who believes we go no whr,we die here

Slightly off topic. Does anyone have any idea when the result of the domestic dollar bond would be announced? Wasn’t settlement supposed to be last week Friday?

Oando ran into financial difficulty after buying Conovophillips for $1.5b in 2014 and could not pay dividend since then. But the same company was paying N2-N3 dividend per share in 2008-2011.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom:
Dangote’s Ambitious Growth Strategy

Aliko Dangote, renowned for his business acumen, has not rested on his laurels. The Dangote Group, one of Africa’s largest conglomerates with interests spanning cement, sugar, salt, and oil refining, has set its sights on further growth.

In a recent presentation during a media tour of the Dangote Refinery, the billionaire outlined plans to increase the group’s revenues to an ambitious $30 billion by 2025.

Central to this strategy is a significant shift in the group’s foreign exchange (FX) operations.

Dangote aims for the conglomerate to become Africa’s largest provider of foreign exchange, with the goal of reducing dependence on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for FX sourcing.

Dangote further revealed plans to dramatically reduce the group’s reliance on the Nigerian cement market, which currently accounts for 75% of its business, down to 15%. Additionally, he projected a diversification of revenue sources, with 50% of EBITDA expected to come from foreign markets.

He also emphasized that 90% of the group’s future revenue would be generated in hard currency, underlining its focus on international expansion and export-driven growth.

Tell us about the stocks that will give us premium joy better than what Oando is giving us right now. That is what is more important.
We have all shed years at one time or the other in life, so it is not news
What we want now is the premium joy.
Give the good news, not always the bad news.
