Several inventions and discoveries have been attributed to dreams:

1. Penicillin: Alexander Fleming's dream led him to discover penicillin in 1928. He dreamed of bacteria being destroyed by a mold, which inspired him to experiment and discover the antibiotic properties of penicillin.

2. Periodic Table: Dmitri Mendeleev's dream helped him finalize the periodic table of elements in 1869. He reportedly saw the elements arranged in a logical order in his dream.

3. Telephone: Elias Howe's dream inspired him to invent the first practical sewing machine in 1845. He dreamed of being taken captive by a group of natives who were dancing around him with spears that had holes in the tips, which led him to design the needle with an eye at the point.

4. Theory of Relativity: Albert Einstein's dreams and thought experiments contributed to his development of the theory of relativity, although he didn't directly attribute it to a single dream.

5. Paul McCartney's "Yesterday": The melody for the Beatles' hit song "Yesterday" came to Paul McCartney in a dream in 1965.

6. Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein": Mary Shelley's dream inspired her to write the classic novel "Frankenstein" in 1816.

7. Elias Howe's Sewing Machine: Howe's dream, mentioned earlier, also helped him design the first practical sewing machine.

8. Niels Bohr's Atomic Model: Niels Bohr's dream led him to propose the planetary model of the atom in 1913.

9. Robert Louis Stevenson's "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde": Stevenson's dream inspired him to write the classic novel "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" in 1886.

10. Srinivasa Ramanujan's Math Formulas: The Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan claimed that his dreams often revealed mathematical formulas and insights.

While dreams can inspire creativity and problem-solving, it's essential to note that hard work, dedication, and expertise are also crucial for turning dream-inspired ideas into reality.

Someone wants to compare oando with Alhaji refinery. This is laughable

Let me smile with aradel and seplat. Value seekers got into those two long time ago you know but some persons keep complaining about every mention of their perceived "deity" oando. Better diversify your investments into stocks/quality investment markets so that you won't feel bad anytime the perceived untouchable "oando" is mentioned against your views

The biggest undoing of anyone in this market is to just be a one way traffic investor

Remember, people have different investment goals and strategies. There are people who have made multibillions by either diversifying their portfolio or taking the risk to focus on a single stock and maximising their returns. At the end, no one is begging for money to invest.
I know peope who sold millions of units of good stocks like GTB, Zenith etc and put the money in Oando, and the value has multiplied more than ten fold.

Exactly! 💯

Was it not one of us on this platform who was buying Nahco PLC during Covid-19 when everywhere was scattering and nobody knew when the situation was going to remain calm again or those who bought Tesla at that Covid-19 time when it was highly speculated that Elon Musk and Tesla would go bankrupt and people were advised to move their investments into Coca Cola, Microsoft, etc?

The market especially the Nigerian one is not respectful of anyone so it is better to stay humble. Even MTN and Airtel wey dey the same category no get the same performance when you consider inception to date returns.

MTN that used to be like the esoteric shares managed by Stanbic IBTC at a time has hardly performed better than Airtel when you compare their returns from inception on the NGX to date.

For me, just follow your gut and do your due diligence and stick to your plans.

Too much analysis and third party judgement will ultimately make you lose good investment opportunities.

Invest only what you feel you can lose

From the look of things japaul holders look more sincere than oando

How on earth will you be indirectly telling people to sell off all they have and get into an heavily indebted oando who only relies on the goodwill of politicians to survive?

Be wise

My brother, no individual is telling people to sell what they have currently to enter into Oando at such a high price. Anyone getting into Oando today knows they are doing it at a high level of risk that requires scrutiny.

The grouse on this Oando matter was when they encouraged people to jump off the Oando bus at about NGN25 to NGN35 when there was still more juice to squeeze from it.

Many who sold at the NGN35 junction tried to get in before it touched NGN50 but were unable to get in again. Because of this, the whole Oando trolling has continued unabated.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by godlyguy(m): 10:52am On Sep 12, 2024
I thought oando and seplat are in the same league of play or has anything changed?

Those deceiving the unsuspecting should continue but just know that oando will be taken seriously serious when they get on their toes and stop relying on the goodwill of politicians. They should come out CLEAN this time around that's if they mean business. Media noise alone won't do the job. Improve on the books

Dont you think you're being unfair here?
So is it everyone that knows how to do research?
Why do you think some opt for stock expert's paid services?
Pls don't discourage good intents on this platform, that, which you are also a beneficiary at some times.. sad

You're sounding notes of caution, it's fine.
I don't think you're talking to babies, they must have picked one or two valuable points from your contributions........but, coming out hard on those giving genuine predictions and pointers based on FA/GA/SA or even GUT Analysis doesn't portray you as having the interests of the newbies, whom you claimed to be protecting at heart.

Those hailing you won't see your posts as attack on others, but any counter posts like this, they'll rush out to post that they're attacking you.
Ask yourself: Who is attacking who now? huh

@Agbalowomeri what do you see as per dividend for this two with this kind results excluding the forex gain. Are you still expecting gtb at 18
