Please is it wise for a mother to give her 17years daughter a family planning injection, what is the sense or ideal behind that..

Well,i've had experience with some mothers who placed their daughters on contraceptives.It's not the first option in my opinion.Teach your child abstinence is my first option.
However, teaching your child to be on contraceptives is better than a teenage pregnancy.

Shes getting her prepared for the life ahead

She's been given a Shield and an Armor, So she can now go into war with Sparktans and Gladiators and still go unscathed

Taking contraceptives is better and safe than commiting abortion..

So it is advisable for parent to introduce thier daughters into family planning injection as early as possible..

The Best is to introduce them into taking family planning injection

Except you want your daughter to bring in unwanted pregnancy or die while she is hiding and trying to abort a baby..

Abstinence when they are in teenage stage you opined!! What if they become an adult in there twenties, won't they consider it?

Mama had no choice than to protect them and herself from wanton troubles, including grandkids from multiple men with dragging of money for upkeep.

The moment your daughter start seeing her menstruation cycle, the parent should start giving them family planning injection simple!!
It's good to stand on a better ground to avoid stories!!

The normal healthy girl who starts seeing her period before 12years is already at increased risk of certain cancers, not to talk of the effect of further exogenous hormones.

Early sexual debut and multiple sex partners are top risk factors for cervical cancer.
Even if they all won’t hearken to voices of reasoning, we still have to preach abstinence.
Some will listen…

I have pre teen and a teen boys. Where I live, you don't look at girls anyhow even if they are naked. It's non of your business. What I started doing is dressing up semi nude at home. It was hard but at a point they got comfy seeing me walk half naked around the home. DH almost went berserk but he later got the message. If I walk around my house with nothing on, they don't even care. Now, when they see semi nude young girls out there, it doesn't bother them. It's not enough saying look the other way cos they will never look the other way.

So preaching abstinence is waste of time. Imagine telling a young boy with rioting hormones not to experiment. Rather tell him to always use condom. We have to accept reality. We're I live, condom is placed at strategic places free

Gbayi,we still have sense able woman like you and not all those advocate of prostitution for our younger girls.
My doctor advised not to allow single ladies on family planning without giving birth like two to three children because of the side effects.

Yes and during our time religion rules. Religion said abstinence. Secular world don't condemn sex.
Nigeria with abstinence preaching and what have you have history of being among the top countries that watch porn, that have abortion and std.

Check your stat.

We use religion to cover our duties as parents and a nation. No sensitisation. Mother and father will keep mute instead of educating their kids or they feel the topic is beneath them.
I don't have girls but heaven help me if I had, I will start as early as age 5 to teach them everything they need to know. By age 13, they should be a pro. If they want to have sex, I can't stop that but they will be guided by what I thought them.
You have kids,start early. They will thank you later. Keep religion by the side and train your kids properly. Nigerian problem has always started from parents not doing the right thing for their kids. That's why we are the way we are. Religious doctrines and dogma has never produced the best kids.

She is a smart mom who is actually using her brain unlike the average Nigerian who live in self denial until that innocent girl gets preggie.

A pragmatic solution to a real life problem.

Teach her safe sex and show her where to purchase such injection. Safe sex is not enjoyable but many times better than an unwanted pregnancy.

On the contrary she for allow them carry belle when their eye come down she go come give them proper training, I can say she did it for herself not for them, she must be too selfish to even be a good parent

Train your child in the way they should go, when they grow, they will not depart from it.
