Nothing ooo. I had even mailed them yesterday .They said nothing tangible than that it is a mix up from from the CBN and that they are working to resolve it. |

This sends the wrong signal |
| Re: FGN Savings Bond by freeman67: 11:17am On Sep 20, 2024 |
ernie4life:Very wrong signal. Some coupon are due more than a week now yet no payment. The only response to my personal message from is that the CBN is sorting out the data. Very lame excuse. All payments that are due since last week to this week have not been paid. For the one that matured, they only paid the principal bar the interest. I have already decided that how ever juicy rates are I will start soft peddling from government investment in this dispensation because there seem to be no limit to how low they can go and they can make just any promises to get what they want but won't stick to it. No regards to how things should be done, at all. |
| Re: FGN Savings Bond by efismikoko(m): 11:36am On Sep 20, 2024 |
freeman67:Oh boss so you can confirm that they paid the principal amount to those that matured then this means there’s hope 😅 |
| Re: FGN Savings Bond by freeman67: 2:19pm On Sep 20, 2024 |
efismikoko:Where is the hope? Principals are paid with the final interests. The final coupon was not paid and even other coupons that did not mature but coupon payments are due have also not been paid. FGSB is supposed to be a kind of fixed income investment with over 90% guarantee so long as Nigeria still exists. So people invest and plan with it. Its some people's monthly allowance where they feed. Some people plan to pay rent with it. Others plan children school fees and upkeep with it. If they want an uncertain/high risk situation, the stock market is there. At least with that you will take whatever you see. You said you want to encourage people to save. You want them to trust you and you are pulling this kind of stunt? Wonderful!!! The situation speaks very loud about something seriously wrong but want to be kept under the radar. All does not seem to be well. |

freeman67:U are absolutely spot on!! I am beginning to believe what Obaseki said earlier on that Nigeria is bankrupt…. when a country is struggling to pay its agreed coupon on time ….. and still seeking more bond …. Is that not robing Peter to pay Paul …. Hmmmm

freeman67:You have just written my plan i did this in 4 months so every month i get paid which I use the money to cover my monthly bills, every day now I wake up sad and scared thinking what will happen if I dont get this money how would I take care of my family all my life savings have been put in this bond and now this. What broke my heart today was when i sent a mail to my broker that i wanted to sell they replied that the bonds are not liquid so i may not get buyer.....I would have loved to sell all 4 immediately |

youngestland:You'll surely get your payment. Selling the bonds now will only lead to bigger regret—they’ll be poorly priced, and you’ll lose a lot. Just hold your nerve; you’re not alone. |

Team, I am yet to receive my coupon payment due on the Nov 10. I hope we are safe?. |
| Re: FGN Savings Bond by ernie4life(m): 8:23am On Nov 14, 2024 |
milliondollarma:Request your broker to provide your CSCS statement to verify if the bond has been successfully captured by CSCS. Once confirmed, you can contact CSCS directly to inquire about the delay. However, if the bond was not captured, it may indicate a more serious issue, which I can attest to from personal experience. |

My late father has 5 million as his pension bond since 2016. We started processing the funds last December. I will like to know if the interest rate for the 8 years will be much🙏 |
| Re: FGN Savings Bond by ernie4life(m): 6:20pm On Jan 23, 2025 |
Gotocourt:Bond interest rates were around 10% in 2016 (approximate). Assuming the pension bond reinvests coupons over time, we can expect approximately 80% growth on the initial ₦5 million investment. However, please note that pension bonds may have a unique structure that differs from regular bonds, which could render this analysis inaccurate. |
