Scam Alert!!! Everyone should be very careful. December is approaching. New Method They're using to steal phones.

Almost immediately after I opened my shop this morning, a girl approached me, begging desperately that I should allow her use my phone to call her boyfriend that her battery ran down when she was on the phone with him as he was giving her directions to his place. That this is the first time she's comming to see him.

This is something I don't normally do but due to her desperation, I caved and gave her my phone plus seeing as her said dead phone plus usb cable were laying on my counter.

While attending to customers, I was of course on the lookout as she was on the phone as if looking around for the said boyfriend.

I got the shock of my life as this girl was no where to be found after I finished attending to my customers. She was gone leaving me with a dead phone and USB cable that no longer work. Please let's be very very careful. To think this is a phone I saved up a lot of money to buy few weeks ago. I'm in severe pains right now

My Personal Experience :

Years ago in Lagos,

That was how I borrowed one Bastard guy my phone in a Public transport and the Bastard ran away with the phone after the Vehicle was Impounded by LASTMA Officials and all the passengers were told to come down from the vehicle.

I truly loose guard that day sha....

As I was trying to plead with the Officers to allow the vehicle go, the guy boarded another vehicle with my phone still with him and later switched it off...

And the SIM card on that phone is what I use to receive alerts and do Transfer...

I nor loose guard the second time...

I quickly went to a POS Operator and transferred every kobo in that account to another account sharp sharp.

Ok .. even if the phone battery 🔋 ran down and the guy truly wanted to return the phone, he would have charged the phone and answer my call...

I tried calling for days but the phone was switched off.

After a week, I went to do Welcome back.

Since that day....

Dem nor born any stranger well to come collect my phone to make "desperate, urgent call"...

Even if they are dying, I nor dey shake body...

Especially in this era of T. Pain when phone don cost,

I nor borrow any bastard stranger my phone.
