Why did you say it's not great?

* NIDF Q3 dividend = N5.09
Representing 24.4% yield......
* Growth in performance Y-on-Y

Any long term or dividend investor should have this stock in his/her portfolio
How did you get a 24.4% dividend yield?
The total dividend so far is less than N14 and for a stock selling for N111.7.

This is Bolaji Balogun’s firm. Otunba Subomi Balogun of FCMB’s son. I can certainly confirm it’s nothing like Wale’s management. They’re one of the biggest players in the capital markets. They’re the ones that brought Aradel to the market alongside Stanbic of recent. And helped with Access and Zenith RI.

I don't know much but I know Chapel Hill is a great financial advisor and investment managment firm for Businesses..
Learnt the present Minister of finance is the founder..(Wale Edun)
Infact he was also the founder of then IBTC that later merged with Stanbic to form present Stanbic IBTC.

And both Chapel Hill and Stanbic are robosts and Champions in the finance and investment world with high level integrity.

In Summary, anything Chapel Hill is involved, you can sleep with 99% eyes closed.

I don't see anything special about the present finance minister. I need to hear about the present management oh.A girl thr tried scamming of my IB rights. She lied about many things and was sending my documents to just sign on them.She didn't know I was in contact with my broker who was telling me the truth. She was on me to just sign documents to relinquish my rights and send to her .She lied about my actual rights and others.

This does not mean the company is bad but she is a bad egg in that company so don't get me wrong.
I want to know about the top managers of that fund and gauge the sustainability going forward since thr stock is an illiquid stock. The os is less than a billion. I am after consistency in dividend payment and growth

I got my shares transferred from Trobe to ARM SEC. I sold the shares and the trade settled 2 days ago but my portfolio balance is showing a negative balance. I complained to them and it changed to a different negative balance again.
For 48 hours they’ve been telling me that the issue is receiving attention.
Note when the transfer was to be made they asked me to fund my account with the transfer fee which I did.

Please what could be the issue here?

If for customer service I won't be using Morgan capital. Who ever is at the customer service is so incompetent. The only time you get reply to mail thr is if you copy one madam thr yemisi.If you only send mail to the official handle as per mail they won't ever reply.Then they equally respond to individual call to that firm if you have anyone number thr.The official lines are kept permanently busy so don't even bother calling it

Sorry about your odeal. I understand your position.

I may have exaggerated with the 99% grin but this was specifically in comparison with the other "Wale" you were talking about. grin.
I don't think the management has that kind of public Image.

Though Minister isn't presently in the management since he is now a public office holder.

If you are familiar with credit ratings,(though not full proof)
Augusto rated the Fund Managers(Chapel Deham) an A(IM) and the fund itself NIDF an A(IM==>Investment Managers)

The MD of the fund is Indian
They also have an American as a long term partner.. They bring wealth of experience from international diverse background.

I take correction very well; that's how I learn. In this case, I clearly stated that my estimates are based on ThisDayLive inputs. I never claimed 100,000 barrels a day was the actual figure. So, I don't see what your correction was. If the figure is wrong, okay, but what I was more interested in were the other costs and whether they are in line. You started giving long explanations about BOE, barrels, and conversions, which are irrelevant to my post. One barrel is about 76 dollars, and the publication referred to barrels per day.
Oando average production is around the 25k/bbl. mark. Factor in a very bullish estimate, that 100k is not possible. Even the 20% upside From 4 OMLs won't even push peak average production beyond 52k. Post integration of this acquisition, Oando should average around 40-45k/bbl.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Trojan8(m): 6:40pm On Oct 16, 2024
Tpharell:
I submit to you, rather authoritatively, that Oando is not doing anything near 100,000. They are averaging in the thirty something thousand range at the moment, targeting 40k in the immediate. I have already said and shown that your Thisday source piece is based on an erroneous foundation. Tell them to meet me in court about that!
Actually less than 30k. The 40k target is post Eni's deal which should push peak production around the 52k mark. When you factor in loss time and every other challenges that is peculiar to oil exploration then 40k seems like a fair range. Even Seplat with the largest oil production capacity still average around the 52k mark at the moment.

ositadima1:
So?
You expect me to believe ThisDay over FY'23 and FY'22 actually numbers. When I get home and I settle down, I'll drop a link to the breakdown from Oando.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Trojan8(m): 6:50pm On Oct 16, 2024
Omooloriredade:
Good attempt but unfortunately GROSSLY inaccurate.

* Peak Oil production was not 100,000bbls/day. Should have been reported as 100,000BOE/day. Also, Peak production can't be used for forecasting.
* Based on point above re BOE, you can't multiply this figure by $76 (the price of oil).
* Gas production figure is wrong. Don't know where that came from. Oando produced c. 31,912,680 MMBtu of gas in 2023.
* Average realised price of gas in 2023 was about $2 per MMBtu. Note - Futures contracts are usually used hedge commodity price risk.
* Your annual revenue was therefore grossly overstated which throws off the rest of your calculations.

However, I commend you for this intellectual exercise.

Things to note:

Gas:
1000Scf = 1Mcf
1000Mcf = 1MMcf
1000MMcf = 1Bcf
1000Bcf = 1Tcf

BOE (Barrel of OIL Equivalent)
1BOE = 6000Scf or 6Mcf or 5.8MMBtu (approx 6MMBtu)

Oil
1BOE = 1bbl (basically oil quantity needs no conversion. Unlike gas and NGLs, what you get is what it is)

So when an Upstream company reports production numbers, they usually refer to BOE to capture Oil, Natural Gas and Natural Gas liquids. Also, you would often see Oil companies qualify an oil well or OML by the proportion of Oil it produces e.g OML ABC producing 70% Oil (that is the %
of oil in the BOE).
This is brilliant!

How did you get a 24.4% dividend yield?
The total dividend so far is less than N14 and for a stock selling for N111.7.
Na wetin dey write for their report I help them post o. Lol. 😁
I don't know the period in view that made them arrived at 24.4% .......except I find time to check.

Now, if we should calculate the % dividend yield declared for this last quarter alone (N5.09), it's around 4.56%!!
A very good one for just 3mths!!

For the 3 quarters paid so far this year, that should be around 12.16% (13.59 ÷ 111.70) x 100

Better than some govt bonds if I may say....
Reason for saying this is that: govt bonds has durations, this one does not IN AS MUCH as you hold the stock for as long as possible AND the Company keeps delivering better performances Year on Year, Quarter on Quarter.........You equally have access to your capital in part or whole, anytime it's needed unlike bonds.
This is just my view of it.

I don't know anything about oil production. I heard the minster saying he is expecting oando to do 100,000 by December.Are you saying it is not possible from those wells ever in the future. He said his target is for 2M barrel by yr end for the country.

I recently likened Aradel’s management integrity with that of NIDF in the manner they create shareholder value and try to increase dividend payout to shareholders.
Well, they seem to be proving me right small, small.
Q3 quarterly dividend of N5.09/share has been announced.
The highest payout so far!
We will still chop another one in 3 months time.
Dividend aristocrats don’t fail to keep this in your portfolio.
Please, which broker did you use to get their shares?
